Title of video: "Disney Movies You Didn't Know Existed" Me: "Not only did I know, that all of these movies existed, I watched them all. And greatly enjoyed the majority of them"
I remember watching literally ALL of these movies when I was little and got so confused when other kids in my class hadn't seen it. But why does the guy gotta make them seem bad. Kids don't think about this stuff, they just love it.
You forgot Peter Pan: Return to Neverland, The Jungle Book 2, Atlantis: Milo's Return and Brother Bear 2. Also if this was a ranking then why did you talk about great sequels so low on the list like Lion King 2: Simba's Pride and talk about horrible sequels so high on the list like Mulan 2?
@@sheepysaccount I understand what they mean by a great sequel and I all for their opinion on the film, but they literally say at the beginning of the video that it's a ranking, so when something positively spoken is at the bottom of the list and something negatively spoken is at the top of the list just doesn't make sense.
Jungle Book 2, Return to Neverland, and the Tigger and Piglet movies were theatrical, not direct-to-DVD (even though they were made by the direct-to-DVD crew instead of Walt Disney Studios proper)
I only watched it once, and that was when I borrowed it from the library years ago. I never even knew it had a sequel until I saw it on the library shelf. I grew up knowing about Aladdin having a sequel, being Aladdin and the King of Thieves, because I had it since my childhood, but a lot of Disney sequels I've never even remotely heard about since this video now make me want to find a few of these.
Great movie as well. I just discovered the tv show Lion Guard recently and even though the first two seasons are obviously targeted at younger viewers the third got more serious in several ways and integrates itself pretty nice into the whole canon short after the second movie.
Legend of Tarzan was a show. It was on toon Disney in the 2000’s lion king 1 1/2 is hilarious 😂😂😂😂 and it makes sense on what happened in the beginning 😂😂😂😂😂
I was looking for this comment the show had 2 season and was actually good use to be shown on Jetix when it went to Disney along side Aladdin, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command series
Now that you mention it.. lol But I remember feeling VERY uncomfortable throughout that whole movie. I think I hated that his dad was a bad guy, and my brain was like, "DOES NOT COMPUTE."
@@demonag5842 They aired in Finland when I was a kid. :3 man I loved the show. It had Paavo Kerosuo aka Finnish voice actor of Simba do the voice of Tarzan. I fell in love with his voice.
Alexandra S I love the little mermaid 2 in my opinion it was better than the first in some areas at least. In the first movie I felt like Ariel didn’t learn anything and she got everything handed to her but in the little mermaid 2 I felt like not only did Ariel learn something but I could relate to Melody
"Disney Movies You Didn't Know Existed" makes the assumption that people never watched television. Then things go into a generalized "These movies shouldn't have been made for the following reasons, and I'm going to use my opinions as facts."
I don't understand how you can be a Disney fan and not love the sequels?! Necessary or not, it is Disney!!! They will forever give those who were raised by Disney a sense of nostalgia! I am a Disney baby and I have watch every single one of the sequels you mention and love them as much as the original maybe ever more.
I think it didnt air in some places? If it did, then this video doesnt make sense at all... I think they just recently crawled outta a rock or something lol.
Just a little bit about Bambi: In the books he does end up living with and learning from his father after being wounded as a young adult. In his youth he and his mother had met up with and even travelled with other deer in leaner times (which you do get a glimpse of in the film) and one of the older deer they knew was named Ronno. Initially Bambi had looked up to him but as adults Ronno confronted Bambi over Faline and lost. In the first film the larger deer he fights is also named Ronno. Since the midquel lacked any major enemies outside of man I guess they just wanted to work that rivalry further into Bambi’s past. Being a much more kiddy movie they made Ronno younger than he was initially let on to be in the first film, given the three pronged antlers.
Even when the choice to do a sequel was weird, some of the sequels e.g. Bambi 2 was incredible made. The story was simple and sweet with heavy moment which shows the grows of bambi. Also the animation is just beautiful, it is like the original just with upgraded animation but still beautiful landscapes and drawings. Same with the Ariel Movies. It doesn't have super complicated stories (never had), but the presentation, pacing, animation and characters made it entertaining, true to the original and are perfect examples how to do a sequel. I wonder, will the direct-dvd(blue-ray) sequels ever come back? Or maybe we really missed some for the series like Tangled.
This video should be titled the most underrated Disney movies. I think most of us know about these movies, well except for Tarzan and Jane I didn't know about that one.
Lady and the Tramp two was my absolute favourite as a kid. I. actually have a chihuahua named Angel that looks exactly like the animated Angel... its a complete coincidence since her old owner never saw the movie and actually named her after her mother "Angela" . I was also super obsessed with lion king two and honestly i loved most of these movies but, that.s just me ...
This title is misleading. I feel like most people probably know these existed. Rating Disney Sequels would've been a better title since that's literally what you did.
I knew about probably 3/4 of these movies. And I'd probably seen a little over half of them. Diehard Disney fans would know every one existed, but I'm sure that a large percentage at least learned of one title (at minimum) that was unknown to them.
All of these movies sound like they’re all on direct to video movies. I don’t think I ever heard of the LILO and Stitch sequels. Tarzan 2 is on Netflix.
to be fair to Kronk if that movie had a little more cohesion or more straight forward plot it would have been a very good movie, or if you view the different parts as separate shorts then it's better than together.
I agree with you on all of these EXCEPT, "Kronk's New Groove" that was a great movie! Usually I agree that stories about taking the comedic relief and making them the star of their own movie is a horrible idea ("Minions"...); However, Kronk had a lot to him and his personality which offered plenty for the audience to enjoy. Now the main reason for the movie, the plot, is rather lackluster, I feel the music, humor, and general charm of the movie are all great!
Im definitely subscribing after seeing this video. I've watched a few on this channel before and liked them, but I think this video is a perfect example of how these types of videos should be. each segment is short and to the point, but gives you enough information that you could decide whether or not you would want to see the movie if you haven't already. and despite the fond feelings I have for some of the movies that were called lower quality in this video, I feel like it was done in such an unbiased way that I don't feel offended on their behalf, and I can just enjoy the commentary for what it is.
I've watched a lot of these old movies back when I was younger, most of these were pretty much my childhood. They weren't bad and they were pretty apart from the original versions but the plots were okay. Didn't matter to me that the movies were low quality and stuff back then. lol I think I still have these old movie, though they're kind of scratched up.
