i cut my muffler out, brought the tail end section of the pipe to a shop and they welded a piece of pipe in place and put my pipe back in the hangars for 40 bucks it’s definitely a cheap easy way to get some good sound out of em 💪🏼
About to do the same to my 08 sierra with the super 10 axel dumped. I want the same wheels for my truck also but when I got to order it says they won’t fit my truck, did u have to buy any extra bolt on or spacer to fit those wheels?
If you cut the pipe short enough it’ll eventually pop codes because of the o2 sensor but unless your chopping it off right behind the cat your good on most vehicles
2013 chevys and up have a flap to the AMF system. It sure will eventually throw codes and make the idle incorrect. Causes a series of things people don’t really understand. Including changing the idle.

You can do a free muffler delete, borrow a sawzall and cut the muffler and leave it

Unless you really want to do it yourself, call around to your local muffler shops, there's a good chance that one will do it for the same price.
