How to Crochet Easy Prayer Shawl
Вставка

- This Crochet Prayer Shawl is an easy Corner to Corner (C2C) cluster concept. The crochet shawl is on the right in the photograph. I'm unsure where that pattern is located for the knit version.
This is a Corner to Corner but it's using clusters. Getting started isn't so hard but you just have to ensure you get your chain counts correct. I found myself after a few rows, I can sit back and not think too hard about it.

Hi You Tube thank you for this video it good to see a man crocheting a beautiful crochet
shawl.
I started about 9 years ago with "The Crochet Crowd" and I will always continue to make a return to the channel that started my journey. Thank you for sharing. Respectfully, Donna K.
Thank you for sharing this pattern with us. Thanks for all that you do to helping those of us that have not perfected the art of crocheting as well as others!!! You are the best, Mikey & Diva Dan!!!!
This is a great pattern! Making it for a friend in need of prayers.
I LOVE YOUR LAUGH!💜💜💜💜💜
Thank you Michael!! Love your voice!
I love it I think I just found my next prayer shawl. I will probably be making us this week. Thank you so much may God bless you.
Thanks
You are so funny!!! Thanks for the free pattern. It's great to have the tutorial and be able to follow along with the written pattern!!
Thank you! Such a beautiful shawl! Will crochet eventually! 🙏🧶
Thanks for all the free patterns and tutorials. I never make on line donations, but I’ve made an exception for Crochet Crowd. I would make it an automatic thing but I don’t do PayPal. By the way I made this shawl out of finger weight yarn. It’s great.
Thank you so much for sharing this pattern. I struggle with dyslexia. And it even took me a few times to get this. I am so excited to see what my child looks like at the end. I am using a variegated yarn. Thank you so much again God bless you.
I'm in love with this pattern. Thanks for sharing. Happy Crocheting
Thank you Mikey ! I have been looking for a easy Prayer shawl and this is it !!
Hi Mikey, I love this shawl! This will be perfect for my prayer shawl group. Thank you
Thanks much. I have been looking to do a prayer shawl for a while now. This one looks easy & workable for me. Thanks again.
You make it so easy.. thanks mikey 👍
Your tutorials are awsome
Thank you. I found the free pattern on Yarnspirations but never made anything. I was asked to make shawls for cancer survivors. This pattern should work very well. Your video was very helpful.
My pleasure to help.
Thank you, Mikey!
Beautiful!
This is the pattern I use (I add 6" fringe)..
thanks that's my new shawll in a thin mohair yarn and a2,5 hook
I am beginning AGAIN to learn how to crochet. It has been many, many years since my mom taught me. I am trying to follow along and, although this is an EASY pattern, you go so fast, Mikey, that I can't follow. I rewind and pause and rewind and am frustrated and have pulled the yard 3 times. I know one day I'll get this figured out but today just isn't that day. 😢
Awesome love it ty! ❤
Thanks Mikey
Lovely
Started with you. Love it!
omg...super easy even for me...guess what i am going to be starting tonight..
nice thanks 😍💙❤️
Nope, the laugh is totally the Count from Sesame Street!😂
Thank you! Xo
Hey Mikey. Is there anyway you can do a tutorial with this stitch as a blanket Please. 😃
Yes please.
Shukria mikey
كل عام وانتم بخير
Hi Mikey or do you prefer Michael......you live in Nova Scotia, Canada.....wow would love to see your home from outside.....does it get really cold.... I'm in El Paso Tx ... God bless you
Could I do this with a thicker yarn and needle? I'm still new to crocheting so I'm not sure how increasing the size would affect the pattern. Thank you!
💕💕💕
Mikey this is the same as the starlette shawl pattern. This is the third video I've seen for the same pattern.
Theresa Kidd, I found the pattern on the website. See my comment above. Hope this helps.
@@kathylawrence2183 That isn't what I'm talking about. Mikey has done this pattern twice before. Once for the starlette shawl and again with using Caron Cakes yarn.
Theresa Kidd, oh sorry. You are right. I made that one and forgot.
great on how to started it but how do you end it, for us that are some what new
What size hook do I need and how many schemes of yarn also?
All of our tutorials have the free pattern and information abou tthe yarn linked into the video information under the video. If you go there, you can get all of your questions answered lickity split. Saves waiting for me. It's the only place I can put it so you all have access.
The pattern link is not the one pictured. I went to Yarnspirations and searched for prayer shawls. The correct pattern came up as Bernat Crochet Prayer Shawl. I printed both patterns and the picture did not print on either one but the instructions are fine. Is there a reason for this?
Kathy Lawrence UA-cam is malfunctioning. I cannot change link until tomorrow. It’s a long story.
Thank you for responding so quickly. At least anyo e looking today should be able to find the pattern.
interesting
I’m making this right now and loving it. I’d like to make an Afghan of this too. Is there a tutorial for how to decrease to make a square or rectangle instead of a triangle? I’m new to corner to corner.
We have Corner to Corner patterns but unfortunately, this is not one of them.
The Crochet Crowd in the video you refer to this as corner to corner a few times so I thought there must be a way to decrease it like other corner to corner patterns. I’m fairly new to crochet so forgive me if I’m being dense. I definitely appreciate your videos.
👌👍😍
I went to your website to obtain the pattern but I got a different ones “the one in pink, April 2017”, please update file so I may have this wonderful shawl. Thanks, Mikey
Diana Goldsack, I found the pattern on the website. See my comment above. Hope this helps.
Is this pattern not available anymore? The pattern isn’t coming up when I click for the pattern.
The link isn’t working? I am not able to recreate an error for the link
This shawl is the final pattern in the link.
The link to the pattern is not the one you’re working on in the video. Thank you
Tracy Davis, I found the pattern on the website. Look for my comment above. Hope this helps.
Kathy Lawrence Thank you. Yes it helped
Hi! I went to the above link to get this pattern, but the prayer shawl shown there is not this one. Can you send me the correct link? I really don't want to try to write it down from your video!! LOL C-RC
checking.
I tried the link. Seems to be working on this end. Here is a direct link to the pattern. www.yarnspirations.com/bernat-crochet-prayer-shawl/BRC0622-005397M.html?Prayer_Shawl&Influencer_TCC&PrayerShawl
@@TheCrochetCrowd That works! Thanks! Where can I find a compatible border for this shawl? BTW...you're the bomb!!
How about a color change???
Hi Could you please let me know why the are called pray shawls I am from the uk
I don't know why to be honest with you.
Thank you for your time I thought may be for going to church when saying prayers so you don't get a drafts when
Sitting there x
traditionally "prayer shawls" are items handmade by a volunteer group, typically in a church, over which prayers have been said by the group to bless the completed shawls or wraps or throws or blankets to bring healing and comfort to the recipient when they are undergoing cancer treatment or dyalisis or rehab or recovery, for example
Francesdiañne Horton thank you for taking the time to get back to me and let ,e know xx
Also from the UK, in Scripture Christian women are told to cover their head in prayer. "1 Corinthians 11:4-5 Every man who prays or prophsises with his head covered disohners his head. And every woman who prays or prophsises with her head uncovered dishouners her head--it is just as though her head were shaved." nowadays in our nation this practice is often not observed in many churches, some individual women do it and a few Christian assemblys and churches observe it. Some people argue the hair is the covering, others say it is not essential, or culturaly relevant. I personally believe it is something God speaks clearly on and asks his daughters to do, and find it to be a blessing when I obey God in this.
