The scene Brad Dourif shows up at his house in H2 and throws his fist up and says “Where Is She” then he goes to the bathroom and sees Annie dead then flashbacks of her As a father it hit me HARD!
I’ve always said H2 was an interesting film to watch because it’s so obvious how frustrated Zombie was while making it and it shows on the screen. I point to the strip club sequence in particular. To me it feels like he was told repeatedly that there wasn’t enough killing in the middle of the film so he added that scene. The head stopping feels like zombie saying “here ya go, more blood. Are you happy now?”
Scout still acts. Both her and Kristina Klebe (Lynda) are active in horror. Both will be voicing characters in the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre game and Klebe voiced the character Jenny in the Friday the 13th game as well.
Absolutely true. Carpenter didn't want to do a sequel. Thank you for watching and commenting. Sorry for the late reply, this was just shown to me. I really enjoyed the article too 👍👍
I absolutely love Rob Zombie's first Halloween movie. I think it's gotten a lot of undeserved flak over the years. People foolishly compare it to the original and that's not really fair because they're too different to compare. John Carpenter made a movie about a faceless force of evil incarnate called The Shape who stalked and killed babysitters. Rob Zombie made a movie about a flesh and blood psychopath named Michael Myers who returns to his hometown looking for his little sister. Two vastly stories with very different characters that exist in completely different worlds.
Every movie rob makes is a trailer trash movie. I'd kill my whole family too if I grew up as a kid in that fucked up white trash family. It's amazing how much it sucked
@@itgetsdarker Thank you, my friend! I've been defending Rob Zombie's Halloween for 16 years and I'll never stop defending it. I think it's just as much a masterpiece as the original Halloween.
@@MiguelTheWorldIsYours The original doesn't really have much of a story to be honest. Very little character development as well. It's still a great movie though. Rob Zombie's version just strikes a deeper nerve.
Well part one was with the most studio cooperation. As it had to respect and live up to the original as much as possible. Part 2, was all Rob Zombie. As he made it simple to them and said he will only do 2 if he has full creative control. Depending on your opinion about Part 2, it did critically worse than the first. So technically, in this situation, your comment is a poor example. 😂
@@JoeGrizz1y 2 was a disaster and a perfect example of why you DON'T let RZ just go all out make some hillbilly white trash horror flick with the Halloween name slapped on it. RZ's music is badass but his movies are just all over the place.
Knowing what you just told us, I can appreciate this movie a lot more than what I originally did, the performances from Danielle and Brad were great, my biggest gripe was Scout's acting and constant screaming really made it hard to enjoy also Michael was pretty forgettable but respect to Rob for getting through it
I respect Rob Zombie's artistic interpretation of Halloween (2007). Dedicating a significant portion of the narrative to Michael's youth was intriguing. Halloween II (2009) lost me. I didn't understand what he was trying to do artistically. Perhaps I'll revisit it again and see what I can pick up the second time.
I'm having difficulty buying his story considering the studio gave him full creative control over Halloween 2 and it was basically the same thing taken to 11: Ugly characters, horrible dialogue, swearing, swearing, and an extra heap of swearing on top of that (Laurie's meltdown in the car consisted of a string of F-words. That's it.), fixation on hillbillies, beards, 70s music, 70s vibe, rotten personalities, nudity and sex. That's the majority of his repertoire right there aside from The Munsters. I'm surprised the studio okayed the final product of Halloween 2 with no questions asked because they would've asked for more Michael Myers WITH A MASK.
Why would Harvey Weinstein's stiffy give anyone control over anything just because Malek Akkad said it was groovy? Look at what was actually said, then look at Harv with the Epstein's Island Girls and learn to think before you actually write something down.
I had no idea that there was studio interference with Rob Zombie's Halloween remake Night. Interesting info Studio interference really can set a directors full vision back there needs to be some kind of agreement between director and studio I enjoyed Rob Zombie's Halloween movies despite it's short comings in some areas . I hope that Rob Zombie finds his love for the Halloween movies again to
Your right no director goes out to make a bad movie but like you said so much Studio interference like Alien 3 if they left David Fincher alone it would have been way better
Let’s not pretend that left to his own devices with no studio interference that Zombie can write and direct a masterpiece. Let’s also not pretend that we didn’t know that both Weinstein bros aren’t Shxtbags. If there were any studio involvement they should have suggested some less “Rob zombie like character’s and dialogue” or ask politely I’d it’s possible that there are a couple likable characters.
Right...just look at his Munsters, what in the actual f was that movie? His movies are all the same anyway, he only knows how to write trailer trash with the worst dialogue ever that no human actually speaks like
I love Rob Zombie's version of Halloween until the second part of the sequel, kind of like how, Halloween 2018 was great, But those two Sequels don't match up with the realism they brought up & build around ... Everything went supernatural when we were told that Idea Was Dead & Ditched leave that shit out 😂
This video was very informative "Rob zombie directed halloweenII Without his soul in it" It makes sense now why that movie sucked And why halloween two thousand and seven was Great You could tell the difference I honestly appreciate that movie a bit more now After learning this information
Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed this video. It also gave me a different perspective on his 2 movies. Behind the scenes stuff on films can really be interesting. Thanks again for watching and hope to see you around my channel and this community again👍💯🔥
The stories about "stuntman challenges" in the RZH2 commentary track when the prop department messed up and built stuff that was supposed to breakaway as real. So Tyler would frequently have to break down a real wall or real door. One of my favorite stories from extra features
I loved Zombie's Halloween films. What I love most is his willingness to take the franchise in another direction rather than make another carbon copy. I, too, have not watched a single Halloween since just out of franchise fatigue. Sad to hear the backstage drama around the films, but not surprised.
I agree with a lot of the points you're making on RZH2 as well. Honestly genuinely 'bad' films are somewhat more uncommon than people think in horror. Like I enjoy most stuff just fine even if I really hate a movie there's usually something worthwhile in there to enjoy. With series like this with 13 entries I think it's best to analyze them in context of the rest of them. Like Ends is probably top 5 for me, and if you're comparing to say Curse or Resurrection it really seems unreasonable to say a scramble of scenes and scripts like curse tells a more logical story than Ends, which works as one coherent piece rather than several versions of different stories crammed together. Does that make sense?
I was and still am a huge fan of Rob Zombie's Halloween movies. I watched both movies in the theaters. Own them both. While I love the entire series, these are definitely two of my favorite films. I love his cast. His casting was perfect. I loved Malcolm McDowell as Dr. Loomis. And I absolutely loved the final showdown in H2! 🎃
Tiktoker GATUrks said: Hell I know something was wrong when he killed Octavia Spencer in the 2nd one. Ohhh that was a moment for me! Definatly the scariest Michael to me!!
Thanks for sharing this as I had no idea RZ ran into so much interference with the movies. That’s a shame… although I have to say I actually enjoyed H2 more than H1, in some ways. Danielle Harris and Brad Dourif were the stand outs in this one. RZ, regardless of what was going on behind the scenes, made me FEEL for the characters in his Halloween movies. It was more than just a slasher because you cared that the Sheriff was grieving a loss. It was heartbreaking. I also didn’t mind the supernatural element with the mother, which I know many others hated. Great video and thoughts. 👍
😁Thank you for watching and also commenting here. I appreciate it and I'm glad you enjoyed this video. I totally agree with you about feeling for the characters. Seeing Brad Dourif breakdown is still a difficult scene for me. So many interesting things with these movies and that's why I love discussing them with you all in this great community. Hope to see you in our streams and videos again soon. Take care👍👍
Yeah a lot of people don't realize how much studio interference behind the scenes can really alter a Director's vision, no matter if you agree with that vision or not. Just look at Alien 3's production stories, and how many Director's were hired, fired, and hired again while production was going on. I know hearing everyone's hatred for his movies really gets to Zombie, so no wonder he hasn't seen the new trilogy. While not one of my favorite films throughout all of the Halloween movies, I did love Brad Dourif's heartfelt and gut wrenching performance as Sheriff Brackett. I know these are slasher movies we are talking about, and we love to see the kills, but it was refreshing to see a deeper, tragic side of losing a loved one in such a brutal manner. A part of me was really hoping that the beginning Hospital scene wasn't a dream, and echoed the original Halloween 2 taking place entirely at Haddonfield Memorial Hospital, but this time with a lot more patients in the building.
Rob is a good example of a horror fan that has the money and the studio backing to go out and make his own movies...problem is, once you see his first movie, House of a 1000 corpses, youve seen the rest. With his huge love of horror and the money to go iut and make movies, you have to wonder what went wrong...perhaps he isnt as good at writing as he thinks. Directing perhaps, but what would be interesting, have him direct but have someone else collaborate with him, but write about 80-90% of the script. Problem is, i dont see Rob letting that happen, he seems to want to write, direct, pick out the cast i e. his wife who cant act to save her life and keep putting too many of his friends in his movies. Another problem is nothing these days is orignal, we've seen all there is to see when it comes to zombie movies, vampires, ghosts....very, very hard to come up with something that hasnt been done to death unfortunately. Rob tried with Lords of Salem, but i fell asleep trying to watch that. His House movie was really just a take on Texas Chainsaw. Devils Rejects was probably his best movie. But he really needs to sit down, think about all of favorite horror movies and try to think of something that hasnt been done before. Also, does he really need a big studio these days to back him? The dude should have enough money to back his own film...oh wait, he did that, the Munters....ugh. Yea, maybe he should really think about co-writing with someone instead of writing himself as we've seen how he handles dialogue, everyones white trash lol
RZ’s H1 was good. Michael (Myers) was more of a human made boogieman, not supernatural. H2 was darker, but some things were ok and some things were not great.
I hated Zombie's HALLOWEEN. I still do. I own his 2nd film in my Blu-Ray box set and have been intending on watching it because I know people who hate the 1st one but still like his 2nd one.
I digg zombies movies including his Halloween movie's, absolutely imagine how great it could have been more so without studio involvement and bs drama they made for him , hes an artist for sure
It was a nightmare for Zombie. Studios took so much power away from the creator the director. I couldn't imagine working under those circumstances. Change this change that. Last minute changes warranted by the fat heads. Change the opening..change the ending etc Smfh. John Carpenter spoke about this subject in one of his interviews years ago and why he actually got out of directing because directors don't have much power to create anymore, and he seen a drastic change in the business which lead him to stop directing earlier than he wanted to. If anyone has seen the screener for Zombies Halloween 1 you will know just how much they made him change. The screener was much better than the theatrical release imo. I really liked it. When I went to the theater with a buddy who also seen the screener, we constantly were looking over to each other like WTF! just happened.. that's not how it was...this is much worse etc etc. We couldn't understand what happened at the time. Zombies H2 was ok but not something I go back to often. "He did the mash. He did the monster mash. He did mash. It was a graveyard smash" Halloween Ends sucked btw. Kills was best and 2018 was solid out of the 3. Imo
People still do not understand RZH2, but seems plain as day: Myers is Laurie's split personality. Two scenes give this away to make it obvious, and I am curious if this was Bob's doing.
I personally just don’t believe him at this point. He’s been on record blatantly lying about a lot of things to do with Halloween. Not to mention in previous interviews he said the studio was horribly invasive on the first movie and he only came back for the second one due to him having complete freedom. I love the first one, I really do, but dude if you have a job like that, it’s gonna be difficult. Like I wanna print him a shirt that says “waaaaaa I got paid a lot of money and handed a beloved franchise and it was haaaarrrddddd 😢”
Yup, it sounds to me that Rob is in damage control now over the horrid Halloween 2. He has managed to gain some sympathy from his fan base. I for one will not be fooled. He did go on record as saying he had freedom to do what he wanted in part 2, was he actually granted that freedom is another thing though.
I’m not a fan of the Zombie Halloween films & I’m not exactly a fan of Zombie as a director. However I appreciate the honesty here, given it’s now years later, but it really does paint a tragic portrait of a filmmaker who was hired to make something that he wanted but got crapped on throughout the entire process. The Weinstein’s are notorious for hiring people for their vision and then stripping them of their rights to make the art the way they wanted it.
Night...you know I'm not crazy about his version of Halloween BUT now I have to question whether I dislike it because of him or because of studio meddling!!! We know with Scream 3, how much that movie was changed by the studio & the version we got was NOTHING like Wes wanted.........so does that bode true with his movies too??? By what I have seen of those movies, there is stuff that is typical RZ....which also makes me wonder if that isn't the reason the studio meddled in the first place. After watching the 2 RZ movies I did....the studio being a mainstream studio......I can see why they might have meddled a bit!!! Now the hostile work environment....was maybe some of that contributed to the fact that RZ was pissed off because he didn't get to make the movie the way he wanted to????? BTW....not defending this particular studio in any way shape or form........But all of this definitely brings questions into what we got on screen!!!
Since Halloween is my absolute favorite horror movie and I think Carpenter created the perfect slasher with “The Shape” I was unhappy with Zombie’s remake because I feel in no way did it need to be remade. However, I do feel it’s actually the most well written and executed of all of Zombie’s movies. In fact if it was not a remake and he simply made his own slasher movie with a new character, I feel it would probably be his most widely celebrated creation. The story of Michael Myers just did not need to be retold and definitely not in such a drastically different way. I know I speak for many fans of the original when I say what was so scary, so perfect about the original was that MM had not rhyme or reason why he became this relentless and emotionless killer. The fact that MM seemed to come from a well off and stable family but still became “The Boogyman” was a large part of the character and far more terrifying IMHO. He wasn’t abused or bullied and there was nothing pointing to what would fracture his psyche so completely. However, like the good Dr. loomis said… “What was living behind that boy’s eyes was purely and simply… evil. Now his H2 for me was just bad, I tried to rewatch it and can’t even get through it again but despite my dislike of the first one as a remake, I will still watch it. So I say once again, if it was titled Rob Zombie’s “insert cool slasher movie title” instead of Halloween…. It would be labeled as his best work.
I'm not really a fan of Rob zombie's Halloween or Halloween two! however, I'm really surprised that he had the experience he did when filming! I applaud Rob for his efforts and it was a very interesting take on Michael's earlier years but there was certain elements about the film that I did not like!
I'm also not a fan of them but do recognize there is a good film buried in there. I recommend the Cole edits , fan cuts of both RZ films available on youtube . completely re edited and re scored bringing them more in line with carpenters Halloween. Much better versions in my opinions
What’s the saying? Don’t inquire how the sausage is made. I’m not a huge fan of Zombie’s movies. The Halloween’s & others, but I like that he appreciates horror. Figures Hollywood has a director who appreciates and respects horror, and they fudge it up. I wonder what could’ve been.
Say what you will about Zombie’s films, but he really puts passion into the things he directs, even if the film doesn’t turn out good. This is actually a very saddening story to hear, especially since his experience straight up changed his perspective of an entire franchise in a negative way, and this explains why the film turned out the way it did; Zombie only made this film to remove himself from the contract.
That 1st zombie was 🔥 i still watch that boyeee, but the second one was cool until laurie woke up thn it was ASS after that was sum ill kills in it tho for sure. I hated these last 3 films UNTIL i actually watched frm a survivors pov thn i guess they were ok.
The RZ Halloween movies could’ve been nuts, but I think his style clashed with the spirit of what made Halloween special IMO he’d have been perfect for a Friday the 13th trilogy, there was more room for his brand of satire and mean and nasty violence
Especially with how much nudity that’s already in the Friday the 13th franchise - the Zombie Halloween movies always stick out like a sore thumb in the Michael Myers film collection because of how much lewd (and of course all the other shit) is in it.
I like Robs Halloween 2 because I think I got what he was going for but I think it's pretty...insane, to Crack on Halloween Ends if you had a hand in RZH2. Like Danielle and Scout were doing on their show, it takes a lot of hubris imo to talk from that position.
Halloween was the the worst franchise zombie could have involved himself with. I rated his early work and even liked the 2007 remake. I felt by 2009 there was no more story to tell and it was down hill from the get go. He would have been more suited to a Texas Chainsaw Masacre franchise as he can give you that nitty gritty slasher.
He did Texas chainsaw when he made house of a thousand corpses. I don't get it though, how does such a huge horror fan not have a lot of good movies? Makes no sense. He had two decent movies and the rest were utter crap
@@robbieracer3294 The problem was Universal and the Weinstein had to much of an influence on the Halloween remakes. The actors who featured in 07 was an unreal line up from McDowell, Douriff to Treyo. Zombie never got to put his stamp fully on it. Saying that going off the recent movies he made, I can see why.
Night.... hope all is well !! GREAT video ... The Weinsteins two bums ugh . Rob is a great guy seen him in concert twice and many interviews . I seen the interview it's a shame . John Carpenter was not nice to him either. Carpenter is kind of a jerk tbh seen a panel or two and many interviews just grew into a crabass. Still appreciate his movies but also Rob Zombies movies also . ✌🏼 Halloween Ends for me was a disaster DDG wanted the odd Ends .... The Actors and the crew did not like the vision for Ends . James Jude Courtney was definitely not happy with it . Jlc was a big interference with the past trioligy . Esp Ends .
I loved Zombie's Halloween, and his take on Michael Myers. It seems like he was trying to bring the sense of realism to the franchise sort of the same way that Nolan did with Batman Begins. In fact, if I was a film maker and someone asked me to make a Halloween re-imagining nad make it realistic, I would probably have gone with the 'young Dahmer' sort of thing myself...but when I saw H2, I knew immediately that he just phoned that movie in, not a single fk was given when making it. He just took plot elements from a bunch of different horror franchises, ate em and pooped out a turd called H2
Everybody always wants to blame the studio when a film is not well received because you can't blame the fans. I loved Zombie's H1 and found it to be scary. .. then fans started hating which is unfortunately common these days on anything from their childhood being changed. Nobody wants to deal with that and Zombie did not want to come back. He is sensitive about his ish. He basically retaliated by moving even further away from the original. I'm sure most of his drama was keeping the ghost of MM's mom (aka Mrs. Zombie) in the film because she is in all of his films and felt every shoehorned in. Other than that I thought it was good.
Ok first off I saw Robert give an interview and he said a lot of things about john carpenter which were disrespectful then tried to deny ever saying anything. As for both Halloween films I personally didn't like them and don't personally know anyone that did. Yeah I saw Rob on Howie's podcast talking about his experience dealing with the film. But I don't believe half of what he says because it seems he contradicts himself a lot. Even his former band mates have had issues working with him. He'll fire band mates and say they quit the band. The guy claiming to love the Halloween franchise totally shit all over it. Robert lied in an interview saying John carpenter was rude to him, and of course John called Robert out on it. I get the feeling Robert likes to play the victim and lies when his crappy movies get negative reviews. He should just stick to his music, because at least he's somewhat good at that.
Scout Taylor-Compton did a hell of a job in both movies. She's very underrated. But it's nice to know that the shitshow that was the Zombieverse was not Rob's fault. It explains why the Firefly series didn't suck.
I never got how Michael Myers who didn’t want to eat and just sit in his cell and make masks got so big. No way he would’ve grown that big. It takes serious nutrition and exercise.
Ugh! This really makes me mad. I knew they interfered but I didn't know the extent. Stupid suits. It's all about money and power for them. Anyone with half a brain should realize that it's the creators that brought us here, not the money. If they make everything crappy by stopping the creative process then they aren't going to get the money they want. They definitely wouldn't blame themselves for it. The stiffs need to be taken down a peg.
I personally loved both film still think there great a modern take on the films ,and it's rob zombie what else can I say? Sorry if I'm not being a snob about the film like most people were
Facts are Rob is not a great Movie maker he's got his own corner and he thrives there but that's his wheel House . Just an aside I have been a Fan of Rob's music & have been a Fan since AstroCreep the Record & as Thunder Kiss 65 was on MTV and radio in the 90's !! So I'm not a Hater at all ...
I enjoy his movies for what they are. Each Halloween season I give them a viewing and find myself liking them a little more each time. There are things about them I love, and things about them I do not love. This statement rings true for any movie really. I think that Rob tried to develop Michael Myers' character more than the films before it bothered to do and it's okay for me. Some people like to try to understand why a person was driven to murderous behavior, some prefer that to be a mystery and believes it makes it more scary. What I didn't like was so much of the hillbilly cussing/sex talk/scenes, etc. I just don't think it was all necessary in the grand scheme of things. Too much of that was in his second movie. Overall, I really think that Rob Zombie cared about the pictures he was hired to make. He always seems incredibly passionate about his projects and I genuinely believe that. I think that his part 2 is where things really start to suffer though. It was a little all over the place so maybe there is some truth to his statements. I would have liked to see where he would have taken a third picture. Overall though, I think it's time to let the Halloween franchise alone for a while.
@xmetaltragedy I personally abhore Rob Zombie's 'Halloween' film duology. You might like the fan edits of them by Cole Edits, which are somewhat better. You can watch them on UA-cam.
I like Zombie's films ( for the most part) but the dude complains about EVERYTHING....listen to him talk about 1000 Corpses if you don't believe me. You could give him 200 mil budget, Daniel Day Lewis and Merryl Streep and he'd still claim the production was "a nightmare." (Of course Merryl would have to be supporting because Shari would still get the lead 😂)
I love both RZ Halloween movies, the first more than the second, but I would have really enjoyed the second more if he had been allowed to follow his vision for Michael Myers.
Michael Myers in RZH2 is Laurie's split personality. The scene with her in Myers' childhood halloween costume where she kills Annie kind of gives this away, as does the ending.
Zombies Halloween films are my favorite of the franchise. No matter if he recreated the originals or went his own way as he did Carpenter worshipers would hate on him.
I think if they get a director like Sean Byrne who did The Loved Ones and The Devil's Candy would be a great choice to do something differently and go into a new direction.
i actually feel like rob zombies first halloween is the greatest film in the whole franchise . i also think rob zombies halloween 2 is probably the worst thing in the whole franchise …
So that's why the second movie wasn't very good. Rob didn't want to be there. And if he didn't I'm sure his cast wasn't really engaged in the project either.
He LITERALLY abuses the word “literally” unnecessarily. LITERALLY the first three times he inserts “literally” into his diatribe it LITERALLY goes without saying within the context of his statements….literally
I believe Rob Zombie gathers his own crew choices to turn the page of the duality view of Halloween 2, pros and cons. Season of the witch, remake. He is good with mask props, the surveillance of today fits Silver Shamrock, He would be best at this remake. No one else could do it. No studio interference, yes !
This video has convinced me to re-watch H2 I know I'm still going to hate it but with this in mind I know it's going to change the viewing experience now that I understand why it's such an angry mean-spirited film
I feel Rob's pain. Both fan and executive meddling creates a toxic environment for the creators. There's also a disconnect though as fans tend to not know the behind the scenes workings. All writers and directors dont have the same creative freedoms and positions. Often, directors are hired to control someone else's vision so they dont have say so as people assume, this is how Rick Rosenthal had to play background to what John wanted with Halloween 2. Just like how the Star Wars toxic fans turned off George Lucas to the franchise, i can see how Zombie can feel a way about people trying to control his vision.
The scene Brad Dourif shows up at his house in H2 and throws his fist up and says “Where Is She” then he goes to the bathroom and sees Annie dead then flashbacks of her As a father it hit me HARD!
Most definitely brother. No one can deny The power of that scene. Brad's emotion have me chills.
For me, that’s the most memorable scene in H2 for certain.

Wait to read into things that aren't there, fucking dumbass.
I'm actually wanting to re-watch it with this in mind
I actually wish his version was filmed in his usual 1.85 aspect ratio. That's about the only freedom he had in H2
I'll watch any Rob Zombie film over Halloween Ends all day every day and twice on a Sunday

Sounds like he's making excuses for all the bad choices.
I hope that Rob Zombie finds his love for the Halloween movies again to
*Writer's, dumbass.
Director's have no vision, dipshit.
Screen WRITING dictates story, not Directing, idiot.
Warner Brothers and the DC pickle is a perfect example of studio interference with the directors vision
Your right no director goes out to make a bad movie but like you said so much Studio interference like Alien 3 if they left David Fincher alone it would have been way better
Enjoyed both Zombie's Halloween movies, would have liked a third! Different and interesting!
I'm kind of surprised that Rob Zombie didn't ask to be credited as Alan Smithee for this one!
H2 is still my favorite Halloween
Let’s not pretend that left to his own devices with no studio interference that Zombie can write and direct a masterpiece. Let’s also not pretend that we didn’t know that both Weinstein bros aren’t Shxtbags. If there were any studio involvement they should have suggested some less “Rob zombie like character’s and dialogue” or ask politely I’d it’s possible that there are a couple likable characters.
Right...just look at his Munsters, what in the actual f was that movie? His movies are all the same anyway, he only knows how to write trailer trash with the worst dialogue ever that no human actually speaks like
Yeah, wasn't 31 a Kickstart project?
I mean, it wasn't horrible. Certainly no masterpiece.
I think Rob’s Halloween movies are the best. Also Tyler is by far the most intimidating Michael!
I'm Not a fan of any of Rob zombie's movies but I feel like he does have a great movie and him
I love Rob Zombie's version of Halloween until the second part of the sequel, kind of like how, Halloween 2018 was great, But those two Sequels don't match up with the realism they brought up & build around ... Everything went supernatural when we were told that Idea Was Dead & Ditched leave that shit out 😂
This video was very informative
"Rob zombie directed halloweenII Without his soul in it" It makes sense now why that movie sucked And why halloween two thousand and seven was Great You could tell the difference I honestly appreciate that movie a bit more now After learning this information
Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed this video. It also gave me a different perspective on his 2 movies. Behind the scenes stuff on films can really be interesting. Thanks again for watching and hope to see you around my channel and this community again👍💯🔥

I agree, they did the same thing in H6 curse
The stories about "stuntman challenges" in the RZH2 commentary track when the prop department messed up and built stuff that was supposed to breakaway as real. So Tyler would frequently have to break down a real wall or real door. One of my favorite stories from extra features
Michael isn't in RZH2. Anytime you see Michael, it is Laurie's split personality. You're welcome.
I've seen many interviews about the meddling on remake but not his H2 😊💜 🐾
I actually like the 1st RZ Halloween & the beginning of 2 was well done
I enjoyed both films, haters are just mad they didn't get exactly what they wanted.
I actually looooove the RZ Halloween films. They are my favorites out of the entire franchise.

I love rob zombies work, i would love to see him take on his version of the texas chainsaw massacre
RZ’s H1 was good. Michael (Myers) was more of a human made boogieman, not supernatural. H2 was darker, but some things were ok and some things were not great.
Rob zombie’s Halloween movies especially the second one, make Halloween ends look like Citizen Kane
H2 was so much better than Halloween Ends!!
Absolutely agree!
Halloween ends was actually great story telling tbh..I enjoyed it
It was a nightmare for Zombie.
It was a graveyard smash"
Halloween Ends sucked btw. Kills was best and 2018 was solid out of the 3. Imo

Directors don't Create shit, dipshit. They just direct, the Screenwriters create everything.
People still do not understand RZH2, but seems plain as day: Myers is Laurie's split personality. Two scenes give this away to make it obvious, and I am curious if this was Bob's doing.
Im one of the few who legitimately adore Zombie's Halloween films. Even 2!
His take on these movies have been pretty consistent tbh but I did also read before they took the chains off for his 2nd movie
RZ lies A LOT
Yep...when the Horror legend John Carpenter calls RZ a lying POS i believe him instantly.
@@NickElliott-xn4bg It does seem like RZ does lie a lot, but I wonder why Carpenter has enough vitriol to call him a POS?
I Liked the Tribute he did for Daniel Harris when she Died in Halloween 2 the Director’s Cut that Was my Favorite Part of the of the Movie
I actually love the Zombie Halloweens. The style and intensity is so good I forget about someone of the strange things in them.
Thank you very much. That's exactly what I was hoping my video would convey to fans of his and people who are not fans.
H2 had some great kills and i personally liked hobo Michael.
Robs version of Halloween were the only 1s I really liked
I enjoyed Every Halloween movie including Rob Zombie’s
Great video 👍
Thank you😁👍💯
The RZ Halloween movies could’ve been nuts, but I think his style clashed with the spirit of what made Halloween special
IMO he’d have been perfect for a Friday the 13th trilogy, there was more room for his brand of satire and mean and nasty violence
Especially with how much nudity that’s already in the Friday the 13th franchise - the Zombie Halloween movies always stick out like a sore thumb in the Michael Myers film collection because of how much lewd (and of course all the other shit) is in it.
he could do a badass TCM. the inbred Sawyer fam is right up his alley.
So the same thing that happened to John Carpenter also happened to RZ; They both reluctantly made H2 to avoid legal ramifications.
Fuckin' loved the first one...
His third movie was going to be Halloween 3D, there’s a channel that goes over the script on here
It would have been interesting to see how it would've turned out.
And his fetish with white trailer trash in his own horror films would've fit TCM much better too.
If you crawl into bed with a turd you have to expect to sh!t on you. As politically correct as ole Tennessee can be. 😵💫
Night.... hope all is well !!
I love both Zombies films! Other than the original movie they r by far the best!x
Look at Munsters...what in the holy hell was that movie?
@@robbieracer3294 I'm not interested in watching it. More than likely he ruined it. And of course he's gotta have his wife in every movie he makes.
Depends, there are a lot of guys who grew up big...but a lot of them had heart issues because of their size, not a terribly long life span

Overall though, I think it's time to let the Halloween franchise alone for a while.
well said the problem is a lot of of his pictures have that trashy dialogue it is what turns people off his films
@xmetaltragedy
I personally abhore Rob Zombie's 'Halloween' film duology.
I liked them both, the second one was a bit weird when you watch them both back to back, regardless I enjoyed how different they were
I love both RZ Halloween movies, the first more than the second, but I would have really enjoyed the second more if he had been allowed to follow his vision for Michael Myers.
I like the first but the second... is something
They were better than Halloween Ends
I must be in that one percentile because I thought ENDS was GREAT-probably Gordon Green’s best entry! 🔪🎃
I liked both Zombie's Halloween films. I thought H2 had great emotional depth to it, which is a rarity in the horror genre.
I think if they get a director like Sean Byrne who did The Loved Ones and The Devil's Candy would be a great choice to do something differently and go into a new direction.
Directors don't dictate story, so the movies would be the same, dumbass.
*NEW Writer, idiot.
Those movies barely cost anything, so there's gonna be very little studio interference.
I still haven't seen Devil's Candy, any good?
This makes a lot of sense. I love all his movies except H2. It has some good elements, but is a little all over the place
Brad Douriff was in Halloween?? Guy from Childs Play?? No way
i actually feel like rob zombies first halloween is the greatest film in the whole franchise . i also think rob zombies halloween 2 is probably the worst thing in the whole franchise …
So that's why the second movie wasn't very good. Rob didn't want to be there. And if he didn't I'm sure his cast wasn't really engaged in the project either.
If you have a daughter, you should name her "Literaleigh".
He LITERALLY abuses the word “literally” unnecessarily. LITERALLY the first three times he inserts “literally” into his diatribe it LITERALLY goes without saying within the context of his statements….literally

@@michaelshields997 But, he got our ghost.
Ends IS a franchise disaster! I’d rather watch Zombies H2 over it and I hate it too
I refuse to watch Ends ever again. I got the Blu-ray for a Christmas gift and traded it for in-store credit
I thought Michael died in movie 1 and Laurie was the killer the whole time in movie 2.
Don't ask me why.
That first one was great
I feel Rob's pain.
Both fan and executive meddling creates a toxic environment for the creators.
There's also a disconnect though as fans tend to not know the behind the scenes workings.
All writers and directors dont have the same creative freedoms and positions.
Often, directors are hired to control someone else's vision so they dont have say so as people assume,
this is how Rick Rosenthal had to play background to what John wanted with Halloween 2.
Just like how the Star Wars toxic fans turned off George Lucas to the franchise,
i can see how Zombie can feel a way about people trying to control his vision.
I like the first Rob Zombie Halloween movie
