- Carly Simon and James Taylor originally released the famous recording of Inez & Charlie Foxx's Mockingbird on her 1974 album Hotcakes. Stephen Colbert takes on James Taylor's parts in re-creation of Mockingbird duet on The Late Show. Carly Simon then performs previously unreleased song I Can't Thank You Enough with son Ben Taylor and daughter Sally Taylor from her latest double album Songs From The Trees: A Musical Memoir Collection released on November 20, 2015.

I can never get enough of Carly - or James. Despite being raised in a privileged home and then becoming a super star folk/rock star, it seems that she has always had her head on straight. Lucky to have seen them both perform in our then-small field house at Villanova U in the late 70’s, I walked back to my dorm with my roomie in a cloud ; the performance was so intimate. No offense to her current hubby but I still wish somehow she and James would get remarried !

Carly seems to be getting too old to carry a tune anymore... but at least she still looks good, and has kids that can carry on her legacy
She still sings perfectly. The problem is someone else was singing out of tune possibly for a variety of reasons & throwing it all off. I thought I was the only one that noted someone's pitch was off. Was like nails on a chalkboard. Check her out on the Queen Mary 2 (Vevo via YT) in a private concert recording for an album. Stunning video & sound production, amazing musicians. Sally sang with the backups.

I'm a young 49 yr young african american gentle spirit.. in our household we listened to all kinds of music so much so that I am a fan of the 70s and 80s for sure..I love carly's voice and angelic smile it's infectious...
We are on this earth such a short time we should just enjoy the great things around us..everyone's entitled to have their own thoughts but it's not very kind to express outwardly to others unkind words.. none of us are perfect but just trying to do the best we can..I appreciate her sharing her gentle music with me..I'm glad she is doing well and have her family with her how beautiful..
I'm sure if she were to read that very undeserving comment that was made, she would forgive that individual..So I will just say to the comment made here that was very unjust and undeserving. .
