I have 2 of these PB-4000, the first unit blew within 12mths and had to wait a month for the replacement driver.
This one failed just after 24mths,received the new driver within a week which is surprisingly quick.
I don't play them loud, wonder why they both failed. Will not be buying any SVS product again👎.

Can't fault svs customer services, but unfortunately, svs subs are just a hype & plagued with multiple issues.
Bought one and had issues within the first day. Unbelievable!

That's why I use earthquake. I know a lot of the hi-fi geeks always slam them and have ridicule. All I know is my buddy had exactly what you have, he kept trying to tell me how much better this was than mine. After he got his he was like damn yours is a bit smoother!! Then we.
Picked his beast up and brought it to my house and we Confirmed my earthquake supernova fifteen with the slap's passive sounded smoother and in his words "better". I've never blown a driver or amp. He now owns the earthquake DPS Supernova. He loves it!!! Keep in mind.Earthquake has been in business since the eighties and their business is sub-bass. That's all they do. SVS even contacted them because they wanted to get some of their passives and do a deal with earthquake and earthquake said "nope" because Earthquake slaps passive is patended. That's straight from the owner's mouth.

@@manwithfewwords3954 that amp should be tested on dyno if it's clipping! But looking at that heavy sub it should take some clipping as well! It'll be scary story once it goes out of warranty! Sell it off before warranty period ends!

I never play it loud enough to hear any clipping, thinking of selling it now.

    Second time?
Maybe you played the subwoofer too loud?

yes second time, I played way louder on my Bose f1 sub and it's still working. These SVS subs are junk.

@@manwithfewwords3954 no doubt, pure junk. Bought a svs 3000 and had multiple issues beginning from the first day with a amp issue and output with gain.
