I tried this with the same hardware/config and had an issue with that arcade box. The controllers would become "unconfigured" when entering a game (worked perfectly in menus). I ended up replacing that arcade box with a mini HP elite running batocera and it all worked great.
That arcade box runs a version of retroarch that's outdated (3.9 I think?). The issue was fixed in the 4.XX versions but the arcade box isn't supported by 4.XX

This is an excellent video. I just received the Arcade Box in the mail today, and fired it up on my regular TV for testing. Seems to do pretty well. I'm just a bit bummed as the box doesn't come with a really good version of Dragon's Lair. I've also noticed that some of the games like Paperboy for instance, have some sort of error upon trying to run them. Do you think I may have to change the emulator for those specific games? I'm going to get the fighting stick for sure, but I wonder if there's a better gaming device I can install besides the Arcade box.

What hidden setting is there to make the conbtroller work smoothly.
Great video !! I got it all hooked up just like yours but I am having an issue where the screen is side ways. Right from the start when I power on, screen is vertical/side ways. How can I change that.? Thanks.
@@iGamerPapi Yeah you need to somehow rotate the screen and the bezel. The other option is to connect a cheap PC to it and run Batocera and use the screen rotation setting.
Can you please tell me which modes are both your magic sticks? Like which color did you choose. I am having a hard time for it to save the controls when I turn it off and on. Like it will not auto sync. Also, once you set the controls in the configuration tab, do you need to choose INPUT 1 and INPUT 2 to save it for that platform? Thanks
The Magic sticks is in Switch mode with red blinking led. If the controller still don't work,try using a different USB cable. Once you have configured the controllers just leave on Default, it should work for every platform.

Or do i have to buy some other stuf to use the standard controllers with the hdmi monitor? Cause I dont want to pend 100 Euro on thi Dell Monitor.
@@gaboaaa23 If you buy the 3 items listed in the link you don't need to buy anything else for this mod. The Switch Fighting Stick comes with PCB that you connect to the original 1up monitor and you connect ArcadeBox hdmi to this PCB, you don't need to buy any monitor.

when you start the game can you press the hotkey+X or Y button to bring up the quick menu? you can choose the controller and assign buttons in there.
In the main menu go to controllers settings and choose #0 Magic-NS for P1,
#1 for P2 see if that works.

Strange,can you go into System Settings and find Screen Rotation option?

@@iGamerPapi its for horizontal cabs, not vertical. you will have to use different mounting brackets for your monitor and rotate your screen
You kind of need the back/down left movement on the joystick especially if you have a sreetfighter 2 cabinet.
Had the same movement problem,I downgraded the Mayflash NS firmware to V1.29 and everything is good.

The Magic sticks is in Switch mode with red blinking led. If the controller still don't work,try using a different USB cable.
Once you have configured the controllers just leave on Default, it should work for every platform.

how did you set up the buttons. i know top yxl and bottom bar but theres a whole look over left shoulder etc. any help is appreciated sir.
press START to bring up the main menu,scroll down to controllers settings and select CONFIGURE A CONTROLLER

Shouldn't be a problem if you just swap out the buttons and joysticks only.

Can you use a 3rd party dock for this or does it have to be the original switch dock?
I don't have a 3rd party dock to try it out, but I don't think you will have any problem with it.

Arcade box is a piece of shit, it will stop working in a few months
yeah that's why I always turn it off through the system menu and have a backup of the SD card just in case it gets corrupted.
