It is best practice to give the end of the tubing a nice clean cut to maintain a leak-free environment. The white filters contain 6 teeth, on the inside of the collet ring, that lock onto the end of the tubing when inserted. With time those teeth marks are reused, and the filter may leak if you do not trim a ¼” off the end of the tubing connection.

At around 8:15, you say that once the system is pressurized, it will automatically shut off. What do you mean by “shut off” at this step?
