- Watch this nice animation using the Fracture Modifier and STORM Granular Solver!
I´ve used ALEMBIC to tranfer all animation data!
No issues! The only thing is that Blender is limited in showing multiple-mio. particles in the viewport!
I really need to check out Storm granular. Would have needed it a year ago but better later than never. Cant wait for the Fracture Modifier to return in 2.9 or later i guess.
$150
i LOVE IT. AMAZING
AWESOME simulation mate!!!
Great! beautiful result!
Amazing
This looks way too good. If only the dirt could look more "grainy" it would be as photoreal as it gets!
Wo very nice video on how to make pleas sir upload animation video
Is there an estimation to when the new update for Fracture Modifier coming to 2.8+?
I don´t know anything about the actual development status - i´m sorry :/.
I'm sure you get this a lot, but any word on when we'll get that sweet sweet fracture modifier branch of 2.8+? I've been waiting so patiently....
If i would know i would tell you - but im just the tutorial maker - not the developer im sorry.
@@Blenderphysics-Videos ahhh okay, I guess I thought that as the official tutorial maker, you'd have some inside knowledge that the rest of us don't have. Well if you get the opportunity, could you pass along that the FM branch still has big fans, and the lack of a new build for 2.8 and beyond is keeping us from really jumping in these days? Thanks for all you do!
@@SteveErnst117 I have ;) - but the only thing i know that the whole team is working on something since some month and as far as i know there is no release planned in the near future.
we love please make Tutorial please
I´ve posted a simple tutorial about how that granular solver works with blender before.
This is awesome, I wonder if there is a way to simulate fractures in storm and export it to blender
Not yet - but why not use the Fracture Modifier Build? See it as "fracturing software" as like as storm is a "granular software" (and some other, too).
@@Blenderphysics-Videos I use regular versions of blender since they are best supported by render farms but if the data can be exported to regular builds of blender, this would be a good workflow especially if the speed is fast as storm.
Interesting! How large was the alembic file for this after sim? Been testing getting PhoenixFD sims from 3Ds over to Blender, and the output files (for a decent sim) is between 10-30gb :\
Just deleted it, because it took many many gigabytes ;)
Bro Please Do Tutorial please 🙏
Planned for the next month - so hopefully i will have the time :)
@@Blenderphysics-Videos please make soon please it will be very help full
hello, will there be a modifier in new versions of blender?
As far as i know this is not planned. The Blender original-code is changing too fast to be able to make that possible.
What is that sound design though? It sounds as if farts could yawn somehow
Do you know how I can get the pay licence for Storm?
From their homepage:
effectivetds.com/resources/fx-tools/storm/
It's well worth it
Is the fracture modifier compatible with Blender 2.9?
It an own build based on older blender 2.79. But using alembic you can use it as "fracture tool" and bring the new animation back to 2.9x
I dont get why cant you just do all of this in Blender ?
Blender is too limited actually . The performance using external tools is much better than using native tools. Yet.
@@Blenderphysics-Videos yes. I still have bugs with collision feature and fluid sims. The fluids go through the object. I tried with realflow on c4d and works perfect.
@@videosagb you should try the FLIP Fluids ADDON ;) (not the one that comes with blender).
TUTORIAL?
