- #PARKWAYDRIVE #HELLFEST

I'm 51 and been listening to metal since about 12 years old, and Jeff Ling is one of my top 5 favorite guitarists.
"Jeff is the odd one out" "It just seems like he can't think straight sometimes, he's got fuckin' little monkeys running around in his head." "He's filthy, he doesn't have much self respect." "He's got small man syndrome." "Does the biggest farts you've ever seen." "He's got hands of a 90 year old, hair of a 70 year old."
"He's so dumb, but for some reason he can play guitar, and I just don't get it."

I am a metal guitarist of 30 years. Parkway Drive has been my favorite band since 2008- 2009. I love this so much I have tears in my eyes. If anyone deserves this it's PWD! Thank You so much for cranking out tunes that make your body move even if you don't want it to.
I know your never supposed to cry as a metalhead but I’ve never heard metal played so beautifully. It brings tears to the eyes. I love PWD!
They just love to perform . There so humble .
So happy we have Parkway Drive
I was at 2008 at Parkway Drive concert with 50 people ... Crazy to see how far they have become !
Thanks ARTE, you are OUR hero ! ❤
Cool story Boomer.
Same man when they came over to northern ireland there was like 100 people in a small room, and they managed to get the ENTIRE room moshing like fuck, then they played their new release Karma and even the staff joined in 😂 iv seen them at their finest in Woodstock before Wacken. Absolutely the best band ever created
Lol these guys are fuckin dadrock nowadays.
Aussie here, been into them since the start.
Such a shame that they turned out so shit.

Finally the first full parkway drive show in 2023 in hd. Thanks for that 🙂
The sound mix is top tier.
thanks :)
I've noticed that on many Parkway Drive performances. Great job. However the toms are very hard to hear in this mix in the first couple songs. Got better though!
No one does Adam Sandler Core Like Parkway Drive w/ Winston
Much respect for the bands performance and hellfest ARTE quality.
I was fortunate to experience their concert at Greenfield festival. Amazing live band 🤟🏼 Can't wait for another concert 😄
Concert of a lifetime, we will be watching this way into 2040
No matter how many people keep sayin' they've lost their path I still stand for this guys since the 1st album! Darker Still is such a masterpiece in every aspect! Not everything needs to be speed and blast beats. Appreciate the lyrics, the tones, the harmony! This band offers all in 1! Greetings from the US! Thanks for uploading this! ❤
And besides, where is their number one album???
They have evolved whereas so many metal bands just repeat the same old. Some people don’t get it
@@davidfife-nm7uy If you go from KTAS to Horizons to Deep Blue you can see them evolve, the last 3-4 albums have been a completely different sound. It's not even recognizable. That would be like Green Day putting out a metal core album.
@@bsx132 ultimatly, it's how the band wants to evolve. If you dislike it, it's entierly your opinion and you are entitled to it. But generally, people that complain that band evolves are the same that complain if the band does not evolve.
mate if I could, I would like your comment 1000 times. It's like ppl think these guys make music for them individually ffs
I was there and it was absolutely incredible. One of the most powerful live performance and dedication of the festival. I still have headache from headbanging this night :D
Only one from "Horizons" and not a single song from "Killing w/ a Smile" 😭
Parkways live shows are 2nd to none. These dudes put on an amazing show every single time.
I think the only band I've seen live better than them is Avenged Sevenfold. Both their energy and performances are insane!

Mille merci Arte comme chaque année !
Merci ARTE ! C'etait ouf ! mon concert pref des 4 jours à revivre à l'infini, je suis ravie
Saw them at download this year. They're absolutely incredible live! I was in the front section right next to the circle pit that formed around Winston while he was standing on the table. Brilliant atmosphere.
Same with me at knotfest, I could not believe my luck! Such an amazing show I’m still not over it
I think Parkway somehow manages to give an even better performance live than on their records and that’s just hard to find anymore 🙌
nop, not even close
Except for on this set tbh
almost every good metal band is better live than studio version xD
@@basedsalvythis set was very disappointing by them his clean vocals wore absolute shit
First time saw PWD back in 2010 and it was in a club in Greece with 600 people! I am getting emotional seeing them leading big events like Hellfest! They deserve everything they get !!
lol try seeing them at the Byron Bay youth center shed 😅 with 100-150 kids in the early 2000’s
im counting the days for release athens. One week left
same!! 2013 in paris... cray how big they've become

Great show!
Fuck I LOVE this Band.. 20 years been by my side..🙏🤟💙
I'd love a new Horizons as much as anyone, but any time I listen to new Parkway all I can think is "this is going to be absolutely incredible live"... Proven right. What a video. Thanks, ARTE!
Honestly, that’s how I am with Beartooth. Other than the Sick and Disgusting records, I’m not really a fan of their studio records, BUT they are easily one of the most powerful bands I’ve seen live every time I’ve seen them!
@@matttheman3923 they truly are

Not to many Vocalists are willing to get out there and crowd surf with their fans! Huge props!💪 keep it up Parkway Drive!
Clairement, puissance, festif, viral, fusion avec le public, the must to see!
12:53 to 13:45 my absolute favorite part of the show ! You can capture all the deepness, emotions, and energy in a way that Parkway Drive only can achieve. The pyros, the expressions on their faces, the crowd... magic !! I have seen them live multiple times and this cocert is on repeat in my YT list. And what a work done by ARTE filming this piece of art!!!!
Yup
Je veux un album de ce concert ! 🤘🏻
C’était fantastique ! Amazing guys ! Thanks a lot for my first time !
Can't wait to see them in September in Montreal. Wish I still lived in Europe... The festival summer season is just something special
Seen Parkway Drive for the first time at Download/Donington… Heard of them never heard their music, What a performance. Gained a fan for sure, Fantastic band. They was in a small bracket of bands who genuinely enjoyed their performances!
Saw them last night, those guys are so high caliber, best show I ever been to. Fighting for front row was tough though.
Just pure energy! This is unreal, the HELLFEST HAS BECOME THE EVENT OF THE YEAR!
I like how he said 20 instead of 12 in Dedicated 🔥
Yep, but will be tough to fit "twenty one years" into rhythm next year...
got the opportunity to see them during Knotfest a few months ago. Amazing to see how far these guys have come
30:35 gave me goosebumps !
The look Winston gave when the crowd started jumping at the start of Prey, wicked
If there's ever a look of "we made it!"
I saw them at Graspop Metal Meeting last weekend. I saw them at least 30 times already. But this time was an whole other experience on a whole different level👌🔥 they never disappoint. Circle pits everywhere, constant crowdsurfers. And I mean. Not just a bunch of people. Lots of people crowdsurfing. There were times Winston did loose his mind. That was one for the books😅 proud fan over here for the last 20 years🙋♀️
The show at graspop was soo fucking good indeed. The whole field(including south stage, waiting for slipknot) was vibing with parkway

This set is pure magic. Absolute bewilderment. Parkway Drive has done it again. They embody the passion and fire coursing through the veins of every metal fan. Goodonya mates. Until next time.
Jesus, they sound insanely good. Thanks for this upload!
just awesome can't wait for Toronto .. Parkway !!!
One of the greatest, respected, metal band of our time!
100%
this intro is so insane !
Nah complete sellouts
Love these guys! but missing more old songs on this set :(
Joys of festivals is they only have a certain allocated amount of time. If they were doing their own headline they could play more with a larger time set
Parkway not playing songs like Carrion is so disappointing..
Same with Architects not playing Gravedigger, A Match Made in Heaven, Alpha Omega or Gone With the Wind.
Taking carrion out of the set when you have shadow boxing and soul bleach in there is certainly a choice (yh I know bands enjoy playing newer songs)
Yeah if it was atleast 90mins, which it should've been lol, carrion would've been in there
I saw them at Heart Support Fest in Orlando, and they had about the same set time and played Carrion and Boneyards. Lost my mind when I heard them. I’m not as big of a fan of their newer stuff, but admittedly it has grown on me since seeing them play them live. I did miss them playing the old stuff though. Not playing anything off Killing With a Smile was somewhat heartbreaking.
Parkway Drive and Architects are at the absolute top of their games. Cant wait to see them live here in the states again
It's awesome to see how far they've come. They're not done yet either.
They've gotten bigger yes.

I've watched this concert so many times, the energy in it is absolulety wild, it never gets old, what a performance
So glad I got to see them in Orlando earlier this year. Hope to see them again soon
They should dedicate a concert to the old albums exclusively! The old songs rip and 30:35 'Idols and Anchors' proves it.
I agree but I’m really digging Soul Beach
Yeah sure
@27:16 12 years I fought for this. 12 years my heart still beats. But now it's been 20 years, according to Winston.

Not bad... Who am I kidding I was there and it was absolute FIRE!!! Thank you so much
You can't deny they changed their style over the last years, but holy shit this is a prime festival headliner right there. Saw them at Graspop Metal Meeting 2 days later then Hellfest and damn they blew me away. Such a tight performance, Winstons vocals, clean and screams, were perfect, the boys played perfect. I love to see how much they have grown over the years.

I'm not a huge fan of the most recent Parkway Drive records, but I have to say these guys know how to put on a good show! Also, I was transported back to my high school years while listening to some of these tracks, especially the ones from the "IRE" album. Such a great experience!
Likewise with their new shot. Stopped listening at Atlas, but fuck have they made worldwide progress, so glad to see em doing so well. Wish I was still into em
@@KillcamzAu yeah, they've moved on from the OG metalcore of deep blue and killing with a smile, but thats ok.
It seemed as if they wanted to play easier songs and became a mediocore rock band coming from a fresh nice metalcore band. In addition, I think the singer's voice came to its limits. Thus, nowadays he only does 50% of the vocals as serious shouts, not mentioning the new tracks which have much more singing, which is not that good to be honest. ^^ But they can keep earning money by this and having a good time. Won't blame them for this. The early records still exist, so everything is fine!
@@plsjustjudgemyshirt5946I've been listening to em since Horizons and I couldn't disagree with you more. All I hear is a strong maturing of sound and improved musicality/complexity. Granted, the last album wasn't a particular improvement, but each other release for me has been a total step up every time for them. Nothing mediocre about them. They became more advanced if anything, Deep Blue was good for its breakdowns but songs like Crushed, Soul Bleach, Prey, The Void, Wishing Wells are not generic rock at fuckin all. They're unbelievably good songs especially for live performance and his voice is just as beastly on those as its ever been

I briefly met Winston, Jeff, Jai, Ben in 2015 after a show,
it was awesome. Boneyards was so heavy live.
Saw this set at download and I’ve been a passive fan for a while, I saw they were the act before slipknot and I was pretty shocked considering last time I’d really listened to them was when Reverence released, then hearing them play two of my favourite songs off that album one after the other just set me off and I couldn’t believe that I hadn’t seen them live before that. They seriously know how to work a crowd and Winston’s weird ass hand movements weirdly added so much just trying to figure out what the hell he was doing half the time lmao, easily the biggest surprise of that festival for me and I seriously hope they do a uk tour soon so I can see them again
You should 100% see them in tour. Their most recent European one was seriously amazing I can't even put in words how great it was and they seemed to have fun (guess group therapy helped them)
