🇫🇷 Devenu une référence en matière de metalcore, le quator originaire de Brighton @wearearchitects déploie un style puissant, ample, à coups de riffs agressifs et de scream tonitruant. Du très lourd.
Tout commence en 2004, lorsque les jumeaux Tom et Dan Searle, respectivement guitariste et batteur, décident de monter un groupe. Rejoints par Sam Carter au chant et Ali Dean à la basse, ils se font connaître avec Ruin (2007) et s’imposent peu à peu, notamment grâce au furieux Hollow Crow (2009).
Célèbre pour leur style vigoureux et agressif, les British d'Architects ont aussi été médiatisés pour leur engagement en faveur des causes animales et environnementales. Les membres du groupe revendiquent en effet leur véganisme et n’hésitent pas à faire part de leurs combats pour la planète dans leurs textes.
Leur carrière prend un tournant tragique en 2016 avec le décès de leur guitariste et compositeur Tom Searle. Une épreuve de laquelle le groupe se relève toutefois, en témoigne la sortie d’un ultime album Holy Hell (2018). La bande de Brighton continue dans cette nouvelle lancée avec deux albums publiés respectivement en 2021 et 2022 : For Those That Wish to Exist et The Classic Symptoms of a Broken Spirit.

🇩🇪 Die vierköpfige Band Architects aus Brighton kämpft mittels aggressiver Riffs und markerschütternder Screams ganz vorn an der Metalcore-Front - kraftvoll, breitbeinig und mit schwerer Artillerie.
2004 beschlossen die Zwillinge Tom und Dan Searle, ihres Zeichens Gitarrist und Schlagzeuger, eine eigene Band zu gründen. Sam Carter (Gesang) und Ali Dean (Bass) schlossen sich an. 2007 gelang den vier Jungs dann mit „Ruin“ der Durchbruch, bevor sie mit dem furiosen Album „Hollow Crow“ 2009 ihre Karriere perfekt machten.
Auch wenn die britische Band sich durch ihren kraftvollen und aggressiven Stil einen Namen gemacht hat, sind Architects nicht zuletzt wegen ihres Engagements für den Tier- und Umweltschutz immer wieder in den Medien. Die Bandmitglieder sind bekennende Veganer und führen den Kampf um das Überleben des Planeten auch in ihren engagierten Texten.
Mit dem Tod von Gitarrist und Komponist Tom Searle 2016 nahm die Karriere von Architects eine tragische Wendung. Dennoch konnte die Band 2018 mit ihrem Album „Holy Hell“ zeigen, dass sie sich von dem Schicksalsschlag erholt hattee. Mittlerweile haben die Jungs aus Brighton zwei neue Alben am Start, die 2021 bzw. 2022 veröffentlicht wurden: „For Those That Wish to Exist“ und „The Classic Symptoms of a Broken Spirit“.

@@tsdiokno2 A lot of artists have been struggling with vocals during all these festivals like Hellfest and Graspop, the hot dry air combined with the pyrotechnics and smoke really take a toll. Architects have been going non non stop for a little bit now as well which might play a role.

I have to admit that I had ENORMOUS doubts regarding Sam's clean vocals on the first songs (I didn't like Black Lungs at all) but along the whole show seems his voice got settled and it's a hell of a singer live. Specially considering his broken voice live sound exactly the same than in studio. It definitely worths the pain to see them live if got the chance!

Ce concert c'était vraiment un 10/10 :
Le son était énorme, on entendait tout bien même synthé, batterie etc
Le publique était hyper répondant, avec un wall of death dès l'arrivée du groupe et le plus grand circle pit que j'ai jamais vu,
La setlist était hyper bonne,
Les lumières et l'énergie des membres sur scène était géniale !
Bref, un des meilleurs concerts de cette édition pour ma pars, qui a bien sauvé l'ambiance maison de retraite qu'avait mis Hollywood vampires pour lesquelles j'ai été vachement déçu perso

Le mixage était vraiment aux petits oignons, juste dommage que sa voix était pas au top, mais ça c'est plutôt dû au fait de jouer plusieurs concerts par semaine, sa voix doit en prendre un coup
