1. Thank you for the tips. 2. I have a genuine question. Did the Buddhist agree to be shown on youtube? what about privacy rules? do you always check it in every country, ask people or just don't care (didn't think about it) unless someone will report she/he want to be removed? I'm asking here as I would like to respect people privacy not to mention follow the law ;) In the other hand people make this world more interesting...so it is nice to film them. How is your approach it?
You can see on his shirt, at the end, how much he worked for us to receive so much valuable information for free! Wish you all the best mate! And thank you for sharing with us such a great video ! 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for this video Pascal, it’s excellent. The title attracted me because I never have a plan with my B-roll. When I visit a place, the layout and circumstances spontaneously create the plan. Your summary is the best advice. Shoot for the edit. Always have storytelling in mind but spending time getting variations on a given sequence gives you maximum flexibility in post. Push-in, but also pull-out. Pan both right and left, Tilt-up as well as down. Don’t forget to get a wide shot of your telephoto to give it location. When you make a camera movement, also do a variation where you start with a held shot and end the move with a held shot. This gives you maximum flexibility for smoothly transitioning to your next clip, which can now be a static, pan right or left, reveal or whatever. Your advice to get fillers is important. They don’t even have to relate to the main subject. Colorful foliage moving in the breeze etc. My mindset is that I’ll only be in this place once in a lifetime so make the most of it.
I always get a bit overwhelmed because I don't plan anything ahead. I have a travel coming soon and these are extremely useful, quick tips to get nice-looking footage. Thanks!
This is my favorite video of yours, and looks like many people agree. Hopefully you'll do another one just like this, walking around, capturing shots, constantly explaining what you are doing and why.
You are amazing! No BS, straight to the point, and so clear and precise. Love it :) I’m trying to learn the art of making travel videos and most of the clips I find on YT are just crap, thanks a lot mate.
Awesome video, been into photography/videography for about 10 months and all i can say is so many creators make it look so easy but boy its not, joined LCA and learning from channels like yours has been a huge help so thank you for the time invested in videos like this and sharing your knowledge and passion to others who are learning!
Hi, You are very professional while handling the camera, most of the people use lots of accessories with camera to get the those shots. Gimbal wont make shot perfect, only our creativity does, which you have proved. All the best for your future videos.
Thank you very much for the tips. I love the outdoors, my friends and family always wanted to see what I'm doing. So I just started trying to make videos
Great concept for a video. When I travel and have a rough idea of what I my video will be, but it is difficult to plan exactly until you get there. Sometimes you have a make a game time decision and go with the flow. Thanks and keep the great work.
You deserve even more than 100 million subscribers. Your dedication to your work and your honesty in teaching us without any cost is truly admirable. I wish you even more success very soon.
Thank you so much for this! If you can, can you do a video of your editing process for a project like this? Your introspective work while shooting was soooooo helpful to understand the dilemmas of shotting on site. Editing is a whole different beast. Again, thanks for all you have done!
Love your videos! I wish we could see your helper recording you filming your flow and pace throughout “the whole” shot. After it would be nice to see what you actually recorded. You’re amazing!
Awsome advice! I bought a camera just to correct my movements in sports, but I was thinking of trying to do a few videos to share with friends and more importantly to keep memories. Your advices are on point!! Much appreciated
Thanks for sharing this amazing Tutorial...we just started our B-Roll Project as well...and we will definitely add the pointers you have shared..love it
❤"PS: Sorry to my Buddhist friends for going into the cave with shoes. I knew this rule for normal temples and I always take my shoes off there. I just did not know that for the cave as I missed the sign during the shoot :-( Of course, I will follow that rule next time I will be there and look more closely at other temples in the future!"❤ Dear Pascal, Love it and Respect you.
Was cool to see some of the movements you use, feel the recommendation is b-roll equal 60p in the end even you start the video by recommending 24p (wish in one of your coming video to see some aspect about indoor or night video shots as I rarely see your youtube content in those conditions)
Yeah, actually some of the clips are 60p on a 24p timeline without slow motion and it's not noticeable (aside from the missing motion blur). Thanks for the recommendation. I will bring out a video about my new UA-cam studio in the next few weeks. That will be a bit about indoor shooting.
Thank you for sharing it, it's a good virtual travel video workshop, totally usefull! Well done, we are with you with all your tips and advises, thanks again !
Taking a trip to keywest soon I will be binge watching your videos for some ideas of some cinematic footage to incorporate in my vlog. Just found your channel. Love your work!
Great information, nicely presented. I really am learning a lot about composition and camera movement from your videos. Now I just need to go out and practice more!
@@pascalbasel Definitely. Definitely come and see my beautiful country after this bad time is a new experience for you. Welcome to Sri Lanka. I will definitely do my best to inform you when you come to my country. Thank you.. 😊💛💙 ayubowan 🙏

@pascalbasel you are welcome, Mate ;)
You know when you are doing a great job when there are, "0" dislikes on the video. Great tips, helped me a lot in making my first video.
That's a new feature of you tube . you don't see the number of dislike's any more only the creator sees the total count of dislikes .
