Just came back here to say that I watched this video a while ago and I just finished my first solo wedding gig! Used all these tips and it was AMAZING!! Editing the video now.
Nice video, question about lighting.. When the family gathered to dance the lighting was low, how did you manage to capture every detail without mounted light or lighting set up?
Prob one of the best wedding video tutorial I’ve seen in a while. You keep it short, simple, & stick to your main points. Beautiful, I would love to see a 60 second glimpse of your work at the end of your videos, it would give the viewer more of a look at the shots your getting. But other than that, you killed it. 🤙🏼
Great piece. If I may add, you gotta emphasize on sound recording, especially when you pause and switch lens, angles, cameras during speeches and vowels, the sounds will cut off too so you will need a zoom to record all your sound from church to reception separately for post, of course while making sure you record all other sounds via mic on camera too as backups.
Excellent video and great advice. My friend begged my to do his wedding after getting sticker shock when pricing a videographer for his large wedding. He was desperate and offered me a little cash so I finally gave in. I have all the equipment but am NOT a wedding guy. I told him, you'll get what you paid for and he completely understood. He keeps on telling me no pressure and he wasn't going to have a videographer in the first place. I told him if I do it I am all in which means hours of video and editing. People who don't do this do not understand the amount of work that goes into filming. So now I am off to the facility a day early to scope it out and get some drone footage. Wish me luck.
I had to comment on this video. You put a lot of effort to show your workflow. I was awaiting that you talk and only show a few videos about your process, but no, you put everything in detail, not showing only the gear, but HOW you do it with the help of another person filming you while you are showing your process at a wedding. Exceptional content and behind the scenes. Thank you very much for this!
