Duct Tape is a pretty good fire starter also and if your stranded with someone who is freaking out and won't shut up well duct tape will solve that also.............just sayin
Didn't know about the fire starter but did know about the mouth cover. Next time I'll use it on the wrist and threaten to light it between the toes if they don't hush.
Here's a quick tip on your cotton ball fire starters. Get yourself a small plastic jar, fill it with your cotton balls, melt the Vaseline over low heat (or nuke it), pour it over the cotton balls. You can make hundreds, in minutes, with almost no mess or fuss. The Vaseline melts at a very low temperature, so there is little risk of injury. It also soaks all the way through the cotton. I've had some of these last up to ten minutes. Love your channel.
@@FishinNStuff ... Yeah, I was hooked (pun intended) as soon as I heard your accent. I'm a North Carolina boy myself, originally from Statesville. You remind me of one of my brothers. A lot. And, yep, that's a good thing.

You and Richard Gene are two of my favorites that I've subscribed to and I've watch both of you for a looooong time. This was an awesome video! Great ideas and certainly something to think about doing in these times that we're living in.
I can't count how many articles, books, or videos I've checked out about bug out/survival bags, but this was the best ever. I learned new ideas, and this video takes all the old ideas and simplifies them into the best setup I've ever seen, which was pretty cool. But hearing you use the words "and he's, quite a character" was... pretty awesome. 😆 Thanks yet again for another great post. And after all those other articles, books, 'n videos, this time, I'm actually going to copy your ideas and put together my bag. 👍🏼👊😁
Thank you brother , im not really a prepper or nothing. But I was a boy scout and I believe in being prepared. Beside that was a fun video plus I got to make zombies talk BONUS haha

You're not kidding about the filet knife! I posted a video about my husband accidentally stabbing himself in the leg with one in November. It was a very serious injury. He had to use a tourniquet to save his life. He was alone in his boat when it happened. So thankful he took that tourniquet class.
He is! The captain of the South Point Fire Dept just happened to be at the ramp to call the EMTs and another guy held pressure on the wound while my husband got the tourniquet on. It's a God thing the way it all worked out.
I can’t say I am a very good fisherman but I do like to fish every once in a while. I subscribe to this channel because of your diy stuff. This video and the ammo can one are GREAT. The only thing I would add to the pack is something that Dave Canterbury just had on his video. He took a piece of sleeping mat and puts it inside the pack against his back. It makes the backpack more comfortable when carrying but then you can take it out and sit on it. That way you always have a dry, clean, cushion to sit on!!
Awesome video as always. I am gonna purchase at one of those posh solar flash lights - Good suggestion. Richard Gene the fishing machine also has awesome videos. Be safe from the the zombies.
@Fishin N Stuff always the best DIY's.. especially for the Zombie Apocalypse!! Brother this is one of your best ever videos. That worm 🐛 Saw trick was Awesome! "No they ain't took over yet" 🤣🤣
You can also use a can of black boot/shoe polish. Melt the shoe polish and dip your cotton balls into it and then let them dry then you don’t have the greasy bag of petroleum jelly. This is a technique that we used in Long Range Surveillance Units in the Army.
This here is some good stuff. It's always better to have something and not need it than to need it and not have it. One thing you didn't mention is the PEACE OF MIND that comes with being prepared. Let them old zombies come on now, I'll whup 'em real bad with my telescoping fishin' pole!
Cool idea on using the saw to vibrate the ground! I used to do something similar, by jamming a pitchfork in the ground and plucking it like a harp string. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, but when it did it was magical. Regarding bait, I buy the freeze dried shrimp from the pet store, the kind for turtles and such. Soak them in the lake or pond water for a minute and they're ready. They are pretty small, but you can catch panfish with them for dinner or bait. Only a couple bucks for hundreds of them, lightweight, you can fit dozens of them in a tiny ziploc, and I've used them years after I bought them and they still worked. Just saying.
What a great twist on the bug-out-bag. I tried to put together a bug out bag once, by the end I couldn't see the point.. I think you just showed me the point I was missing. And I quote "I catch big fish!"
I have a hack for you. I live in Florida, so wintertime is camping time for me. (Too hot, too many bugs in summer) I use a doublewide camping hammock with a tarp/ridgeline setup. If you buy those $2 battery operated lights that look like on/off wall switches, it comes with a velcro strip. I fasten them to the ridgeline under the tarp using the velcro strip. Plus, you can slide it around where you need the light. Hope this is new one for you.
Great ideas I figured the saw was for your MAN sized worms now that's awsum their are 7 foot rods call inner cast that are like that dock shooter only longer no eyes
I will be putting one of these in my boat because you never know boat could sink motor could quit your videos are funny but really helpful thanks from Mississippi
