      With the bubble box u should cut the wires from a usb cable on the phone end part of it and use the red and black wires to power the bubble box via usb u can make a battery I usually just 3D print one then use 2 screws

      Actually if the true buoyancy weight, the scale needs to be in the water as well. Just saying.

    I don't think you can test the buoyancy that way. The water is pushing up on the objective while the object is pushing down on the water. The net weight would be the same. You should test the weight from above without the weight touching the bottom. That will give you the difference between the actual weight and the weight loss due to buoyancy. Love your channel. Thanks for all the great info.

      That's right. I agree with everything you said. It's just the physics of buoyancy.

    • @BC-bj1cs
      @BC-bj1cs 5 місяців тому +4

      Yeah, that's why the weight didn't change in the water. Gotta use one of those scales that you hang your fish on, just tie some line to the weights, hang the weight on the scale, then drop the weight in the water. That will give the "in water" weight

    Whoever invented that paddle needs the noble prize. (That's a grade above the nobel prize.) 😂 I have an old craftsman riding mower that i de-saftied and quit buying a battery for it. I just use one of those jump starters to start it, since it will continue mowing if you dismount it, so you only have to start it one time. Everybody is still alive with all their fingers and toes. 😂

  • @NebraskaPharmer
    @NebraskaPharmer 5 місяців тому +9

    This is a hard one to explain but you can't measure the buoyancy in that way. It will always be the same. If you add to Ping pong balls that weight 1 ounce they will add one ounce of weight to the water. You have to measure the downward pulling force of the weight once submerged in the water. Out of the water the total force is pulling down. In the water the water will exert a small force upward for lack of a better term.

    • @TedSpider2023

      Thank you. Glad I am not the only one scratching their head over this.
      If he could suspend the weight on a line, with the line to a scale (like for fishing...) he could get the weight in water.

    On the pump, that’s a check valve it’s used to keep the water from backing into your pump. It’s big for aquarium owners who have the air pump lower than the tank. I always use them for my bubble boxes as insurance. They do come in handy

    Rechargeable Bubble Boxes are the way to go. Been using mine for 2 years, awesomeness. You save money on batteries (priced D cell batteries lately?) and no corrosion over the winter. And, if you got a usb socket on your boat, you always got a working bubble box. Just MAKE SURE you pull your bubble box out of your bucket before handing your bucket to the "minnow lady", cause she left my bubble box in the bucket, filled it with minnows AND water, and it has not worked right since (on/off button works intermittent now). My bad I guess but dang!

    To correctly test the weights for buoyancy, weigh the weight, weigh the water, now support the fishing weight from above with a fishing line, and dunk it into the water, without touching the bottom of the container.
    No matter what size weight you use, if it free resting on the bottom of the container, the Total weight will always equal, Water+Weight+Container, any difference you see doing it that way is the +/- Tolerance of your scale.

    I really like the new boosters, every vehicle aught to have one.
    I gotta say, i didnt know they had rechargeable bubble boxes. Gonna have to go check them out. Anyone that has an aquarium needs one of those, power goes out - electric pump aint going to work either. Battery pump jas saved my tank more than once.
    Your rechargeable bug zapper would be great for night time bank fishin, tie a string on it and wear it around your neck. Less swatting = more fishin !!!
    Keep up the great work, brother. God bless ya'll and stay safe out there.

    They make usb powered air pumps for aquariums for pretty cheap, around $6-$10. You can power those with any USB battery backup. I have an older one (20k mAh) that has a built in solar panel and it could theoretically power one of those for a whole day.

    I'll say that the lithium battery jump boxes are really amazing. The standard type one I have would do three dead, dead car battery jumps before it needed recharging when new. The lithium one did four and it still showed 80% battery remaining. It's about the same size as the bigger one he showed. Plus it really seems to hold a charge after sitting long term. A great item just to have in your vehicle as an insurance policy, having the peace of mind that I can at least get my car started in an emergency and get somewhere safe.

    What is a dragon weight?

    • @FishinNStuff
      @FishinNStuff  5 місяців тому +1

      It's a dragging weight . Named that because you drag in on the bottom. It's made so not to get hung up very easily. It keeps your bait near the bottom , and a peg float keeps the hook from touching the bottom and getting hung

    I mean... I buy the baby bubbles... That uses AA batteries and works just as good as the d-cel one but uses AA batteries that you can buy the rechargeable one's... Four years ago you could have a rechargeable battery bubbler for cheap 🤷

    After watching one of your vids about making a cooler live well, i set out to make one for under fifty bucks, I found one of these re-chargeable air pumps on the ‘bay for people with aquariums that lose power. It has a metal clip that slips into a slot I cut on the cooler, easy on, easy off for charging. It also has a feature where it can stay on steadily (will pump bubbles for three days), or it can run for ten seconds, off for fifty, on for ten…(last over a week on this mode). Before biden-nomics kicked in it was delivered to my door for under twenty bucks. N e way, this comment, is over.
