How to Build Your Mental Strength

  • First, realize there’s a difference between acting tough and actually being mentally strong.
Developing mental strength takes practice, and involves overcoming our natural anxieties so we can handle difficult situations. Amy Morin, author of “13 Things Mentally Strong People Don't Do”, says it’s not about making sure you never fail, but telling yourself that you are strong enough to deal with failure when it inevitably happens.

Someone told me that you don't want to do things because either you are lazy or scared to do it. That made me think and also it gives me motivation to apply for MBA. Now, I am on my last year and will be defending my Thesis.
I realize from this video the importance of taking small steps to achieve bigger things in the long run.

Mental Strength is achieving financial security at difficult times and securing your entire family sustainability. Its difficult for many people. Also achieving goals you set up to do and getting the help you need to accomplished despite many rejections and disappointment to keep going on till you succeed. Example one thing I learned. I was put to jail by naughty teens reported me for harrassing them when I requested them to stop playing loud noisy basketball games in my quiet residential area in front of my house. When everyone (several hundred of them) in jail have resigned to their faith from intimidation threats not to speak out or request any aid. I keep on followng up persistently and asked for aid to video judge conferencing every week once, till he gave me a fix date to court and despite the high bail & threats to shut up, I succeeded to daringly ask the judge to release me with the excuse my younger brother (low mentality) is missing, living alone vulnerable in the house and I have to find him outside, to be released. I successfully being release when all majorities are not doing anything, still sitting in there. Also, one last time, my father (kidney failure & dementia) was dead by neglect of dialysis when polis caused me jail 3 months without any crime committed and I was not allowed to contact any family members without money. Yet! Outside people thought I was a shame to be jailed, criticised me, laughed at me but I stand up straight mentally because, there I know many outsiders are not my friend but look down on me and my brother, thinking we are poor and being marginizein society because I am single, not married, poor woman. There are many anonymity, I wish to stay private matters to myself and and my younger brother, let them think what they like.

    1. Deal with anxiety - be mindful of your feelings and deal with false alarms
    2. Get uncomfortable - do things that challenge you
    3. Train your brain to think differently - ask yourself how could I handle my feelings in a healthy way

Win our mind, any problems doesn't matter. The key is don't trap to a little success or small failure why because there're much more bigger those waiting forward so do a new challenge every day and think that it's a taste of life. Lesson of life rare to find in the class or text book.Life experience is your true book.Though I lost, but my mind not.

Amy Morin explains in a UA-cam video that mental strength is not something people possess in a fixed amount but a continuum that can be improved with the right mindset, exercises, and lifestyle choices. People should recognize the difference between mental strength and acting tough; the former is about being realistic, while the latter is about putting up a façade. Anxiety can hinder people from taking risks, but they must recognize the false alarms that their brains create and manage their fear. To build mental strength, individuals should challenge themselves in a moderate pace until their brains see them as more capable and competent. Finally, people must stop thinking of themselves as fragile and remind themselves that they can handle negative outcomes.

    How to be mental strong,
Mental Toughness - Not acting mentally strong,
    Develop strength by overcoming anxiety,
Get uncomfortable - Lift heaviers, get out of your comfort zone, Slowley Steadily, Keep practicing it untill it gets easy,
Brain wants you to stay in your comfort zone -Train your brain to think different, -
There is always room for imporovement -
Build more mental muscle - thoughts prespective = mental muscle,

You're missing the point of utmost importance. Self-awareness and self-evaluation. People who have that, clearly don't call themselves as 'my brain', because if they look in the mirror, they don't see a brain, they see their own faces, either scared, over-conscious or too self-aware. Here is a trick. Live in the moment when it is your forte. Let your logic handle your emotions. But when anxiety kicks in, stop, get a hold of yourself and bring yourself back on the path to your FINAL goal. Understand the bigger picture of your job (No), company (No), Life (Yes).
