      well im a painter and the prep work he did was worth more than the 300 bucks this lady wanted back . nobody should have to work for free and besides that the lady admitted in the hallway at the end that his quote for the job was much cheaper than any one else would have quoted her so i think he ended up looking pretty good and affordable so people should actually want to hire him , just dont ever pay anyone up front for work , only pay for whatever work that has been completed .

      @@marleonetti7 Well I'm a pastry chef and I disagree! If someone wants to pay me half up front to do a spectacular job on their 5 tier wedding cake, and the other half when it's complete, they best kick rocks and forget all that silly nonsense to have me decorating their wedding cake at all! Rubbish! Sorry but my contract reads "Null and Void at my discretion" in very fine print at the bottom beautifully designed in a watermark symbol.🧐 At least they can't say it's not in the contract, they just failed to read the fine print & hold it up to the light!🤓

    Very rarely do I disagree with her but this is one of those times. He blew off the plaintiff and he should be punished for that. What happened to “rough justice”? He’s a guy with an authority problem who demands respect (but not in a healthy way) before he’s earned it and he needs to learn he can function that way in life.

      @@JloveLamar a so called functioning addict is not really a true addict at all , its like a person who drinks alcohol on the weekends but not during the week , we usually dont call weekend social drinkers functional alcoholics .

    • @JloveLamar
      @JloveLamar 2 місяці тому

      @marleonetti7 You only been around 3 addicts in your life? A person who has abused alcohol for years, been to rehab, kicked it for a bit, can hold down a job but relapses and can still work and hold it together before everything goes to crap is a functioning addict. They usually don't function for long, but someone that can hold it for a bit is a functioning addict. Wendy Williams was an addict for years and she was able to kick her habit and not drink or do drugs for 20 something years. She got back on it, but for years she was still able to go to work and not act like anything was wrong until it got out of control. She was able to mother her son, take care of her household, go to work every single day, etc, but she still relapsed. She was a functioning addict. I've been around drug addicts my entire life. This is one of the merry go rounds of addiction. It can absolutely be done. Not saying this guy was or is on drugs, but it is possible

      @@JloveLamar i have been around literally hundreds of addicts . i have been attending substance abuse meetings for decades and i know many on the streets of skid row in los angeles and all over california so it looks like u started your comment with the idea that i somehow wrote that i have only ever known three addicts in order to make me less qualified and u more qualified to comment on this topic accurately . but i assure u that real addicts absolutely cannot keep any appointments to work with homeowners even for one day 99 percent of the time . thats why real addicts are unemployed but keep in mind that when i say addict i mean drug addict and not alcoholic because there are some jobs where people can have alcohol issues but drugs impact the brain in such a significant way that even when the affect of the drug wears off it has already changed the chemical balances in the brain and body to where the addict dos not think logically anymore and will they will allow themselves to become homeless in a daily pursuit of more drugs to stop the feelings of withdrawal . so u see , there is no way that the defendant would have been able to be an addict and do the type of work he does even if he shows up for just one day .

    The functional addicts I've dealt with, were able to function at a certain level and maintain their addiction at a certain level. Once they are required to operate at a much higher level, their stress level climbs and so does the use of their drug of choice 0:06 . Once their use climbs , then their use becomes obvious. Until then, you and other members of the team can only suspect. Only when (legally) they have an accident or there is an incident, can you order a drug test. So to the idiot who claimed I have only dealt with 3 addicts you have no idea what I've dealt with. I have had to inform my boss that he or she cannot drug test someone because they suspect a certain person. Show me in the employment contract what that employee agreed to regarding drug testing. You have to wait for something to happen that will legally allow you to drug test them. There is so much regarding this subject and the law that needs to be changed.
