  • The plaintiff’s car was towed by the defendant’s towing company. She says the defendant never informed her or the local police that her car was moved, and now she’s being ordered to pay thousands. She’s suing for damages. The defendant argues there were tickets on the car, and he was ordered to move it. He says he was just following protocol.

    I feel for her, and she did everything right to try to find out where her car was, and then it turns out the police department screwed up! Going after the police department, good luck with that. Anyways, ppl and maybe she’s one of them, they feel they can park where ever they want, if she would’ve obeyed the sign she wouldn’t b in this position in the first place. This was a very expensive lesson for her.

    Her action put her in the position for something bad to happen. It sucks someone dropped the ball at the police station, but really the police have bigger priorities than making sure you are not a huge dick to people and illegally blocking them in.
    Get out and walk.
    It’s also not the tow ppls job to hunt you down and make sure you get your car.
    Had it been me, (never would be because I wouldn’t park there) I would have called EVERY FREAKING TOW COMPANY in the first 2 days.
    She knew it wasn’t stolen, she knew she was in the wrong and it was towed, if the police aren’t helping, help yourself and start looking for your car instead of sitting back and letting charges stack up for weeks.

If there is no parking take a cab, uber or get dropped off. Than she has the nerve to try to come after the tow company. I do not feel bad for her.

AND it is rather obvious the spot is NOT big enough for a car to park, and the person parking blocks two driveways. And as easily as she did it this time and waited 16 hours she did it before and has NO regards for those home owners. YOU are a sucker! Wuss.

    • @Fribee83
      @Fribee83 7 днів тому +13

      No, he's not. Their job is to drop off the paperwork. Do you think the person receiving the paperwork will enter it in that very second and it'll only take 10 seconds? Or do you understand that just like every other data entry jobs, it'll be put into a stack to be entered and it can take a few hours before they get it? You expect someone to hover and wait a few hours for an officer to do paperwork? Nah. They did everything by the book. They towed only after it got a ticket, they drove it to the station, handed in the paperwork, and when they found out they were being sued, investigated to make sure they did everything.
      Just another example of people blaming service workers and demanding they do unreasonable activities.

      Wrong. The tow driver followed the procedure that law enforcement had put in place. It was not responsibility to anything more than that for this self-entitled Karen who doesn't know how to park. And she wasn't just there for a few hours, it was clear into the next afternoon before a call was ever made to have it towed.
