This was an interesting take. Most people talk about free this and free that which is great for baseline. But I feel like you have to eventually spend on ads once you know something is great. This has been going on for amazon for a while now. And I feel like youtube content in the near future will probably need paid ads in order to achieve the same amount of growth like 5 years ago despite the videos being good. Also art is key. I think it is 50% percent of the music.
Currently learning about Google and Facebook Ads myself! Would love to see a video just on advertisement from you if possible, L.Dre! Keep up the amazing! Also, I love your new Bonita sample pack 🥳
Here’s my new single “Breakup and Makeup" wrote by Flowla6 Tranxe and produced by twist beats -A melodic journey through love, heartbreak, and reunion, with catchy hooks and a pulsing beat.://ua-cam.com/video/hWsD-7ZrUec/v-deo.htmlsi=1SZre0-hzHGxIsmD
Marquee isn't really worth it imo. Tried it a few times and got a similar performance like you. Compared to that I ran a lot of Meta ads on single releases and getting the same stats you are showing in the video with under 100$. The learning curve, creating the assets / visuals and everything else is of course a lot harder but in the end it absolutely pays off. Also the ROI of playlists that were grown with ads should not be underestimated in the long term 😉
For playlists it’s a different story I should’ve mentioned that. But my concern with the comparison is it’s just way harder to tell the actually results of meta ads for me compared to marquee. Like even if you are getting way more clicks w meta ads there really isn’t anyway to see if they actually streamed the song (over 30 seconds) right? Unless you are maybe running ads an a song that doesn’t get many streams so you can actually visually notice the spikes?
So you paid 400 bucks on marquee to get 480 listeners? So basic 1 dollar per new listener and those listeners are not even returning those dollars back. Spotify is just disgusting man. We got to move away from this nonsense.
Yeah but it’s not that different from running fb ads but I guess a better strategy for money would be to advertise for Bandcamp specifically but then it’d be a much smaller audience
I love you channel for the tips, tricks, and educational advice L.Dre. I love your music too, hope to collab with you as I continue to learn and grow. ❤ Once I am eligible for the UA-cam Partnership Program and I start integrating the rap lyrics that I have been writing down into my instrumental-only music that I have been producing the last 7 and a half months, I am going to unmask my profile picture on all the platforms I am on. I have been prioritizing and focusing on music production, mixing, and mastering, but I also love rapping and rhyme writing equally as I do producing music.
Since I have distrokid, do I also have to also register my music with Soundtrust? Is it going to be a conflict between the 2? Thanks again for all you do. God bless 🙏
Thanks for the content bro🙏 I signed up for distro via your link after watching the video. Seems like an effeciant way to have your video on multiple platforms. I am wondering if they just publish your music or do they actually promote it for you? Is it necessary to also have a Spotify account and run your own ads?
A lot of emerging artists aren't eligible to use Showcase, Marquee & other free tools like this. also marquee budget is beginning from at least 100 $ and it's not likely as sssspoootiiify recommended during filling the marquee form 🤷🤷🤷
Hey Ldre! How's it going? I wanted to circle back on the email I sent you a few days ago concerning a potential partnership. Please find a moment to read it!

True that
Art is definitely key. I've been recognised for my album art that I placed on ad space.
This video is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I had questions about everything mentioned, and they’ve all been answered. 🙌🏾💯

Yeah marquee and spotlight are both useless in my opinion.
I know right, my thoughts exactly. Complete waste of $500 on this BS in my opinion! 😡🔥😡🔥
I won't upload my music to Spotify or any other streaming services
@@135SlimeyKeno no one should
Much appreciated for the video & much appreciated for the distrokid discount ✌🏼👑💯
