Hey beautiful beats i have a question! If the biggest playlist you're on Spotify has 13.000 followers, how can you reach 500.000+ monthly listeners? Maybe some tiktok video boosted you?
Thank you for being straight about this. Like… “make good music, release it as often as you can, make content to promote it.” It IS that simple. People just don’t like hearing that it takes longer than a month lol. Might take a few years. But if you do exactly those things, you’ll absolutely grow.
To the person reading this message, The Universe is saying to you today: "I am going to opennew doors for you. Miracles will happen in your life. Healing and restoration are being released. Your greatest days of productivity and prosperity are on the horizon. Keep moving forward." I love you❤️
i been sticking around since before you started making studio content, your path has been admirable & inspiring my guy. im 27 & been in garage bands & made beats since such a young age & i lost my path in my early 20s from toxic relationships & substance abuse & your consistency the last 3 years has really helped me regain focus. thank you brodie
Thank you. I can tell anyone who read this, I figured out for myself, that those people which did not dare to take a step by their own, didnt try to become independent, or quit it within first months, are those which try to mock you and stop you on the way to do it on your own, keeping consistent is so true, I will do that from now on, every week on friday one release at least, just do your thing and surround yourself with people that do the similar or dont care what you do, everything else could be toxic for your career/hobby. Stay true to yourself everybody! 💯
I am an older type of musician. I learned how to record and produce a few years ago, got tired of going into the studio and trying to get bands together. I am not the best producer, but I did learn how to make some decent recordings of my songs, and I want to do some more of it. Inspriational video sir. Thanks.
the big catalog one point really helped me get to 100k monthly listeners, i got 3 songs semi-viral independently. and organically people gravitated to my other songs and that's what really got the ball rolling

This is quite a helpful video, thank you. I saw on Instagram a while back that you were focusing on shorter songs and I have implemented that into my writing process. I have definitely been the writer over the years that’s like “this song has to be 5 minutes long”…without any real metric for why it needed to be that way, and often times has multiple sections repeated. A song doesn’t need to be any certain length; if it’s a minute long, cool - if it’s 5 minutes long, cool. As long as I can appropriately convey what I want to say musically, then it’s all good. But I am leaning toward shorter songs overall.
SO GOOD! I appreciate the concise and organic information! So much so that I watched the whole ad in the middle of the video to show my support! 😊 Thanks for the gems my friend! 🙏🏿🌻

I think some artists currently underestimate the value of a full album over a single. The cover art is like real estate. One square image represents only one song, the other square image represents and brings new listeners to 10 - 20 songs.
The thing is - especially for unknown indie artists - barely anyone will use they time to FULLY listen your song. And absolutely no one will find ~45 minutes to listen to your whole album. You add a song, promote it and people click on it AND ONLY ON THIS ONE PARTICULAR song. This is very frustrating when you want to share few original tracks you've spent TONS of hours on to polish (as an amateur) and they get lost because everyone just listen to the song you've made video to. So I guess, releasing just a single and focusing audience's attention on just a single thing seems to be the only valid option if you're not super famous or don't have infinite budget for promotion. I'm a dreamer and I wanted to make my own album, but now when it's out, I guess I'll stick to singles only.
Thanks for that. I'm at a crossroads at my life and I'm not sure if your journey has changed in 1 year since you put this out... but I'm an introvert, and other than counselling, and making UA-cam videos... this is probably what I want to do for the rest of my life. Even though it pays very little at the start.
Well, I learned something for sure. I released some EDM songs and they had a few plays, but I got busy with life work and forgot to release more on Spotify. Now I have 40+ songs to release now and inadvertently picked Friday to release, didn't know "It was a good day",I also make good Jazz fusion music as well and was thinking about releasing it as well, but it sounds like that might be counter productive. Thank you for the advice.
The one thing that is the hardest for me is "sticking with my niche" When I record, I don't think about what genre I'm making, I just start doing stuff. If I do everything else EXCEPT for that, do you think I could still find success in growing on Spotify?

could you tell us how much your daily spend on ads is so you're able to get those stream numbers? and how much in total do you usually invest in a campaign? would be super helpful 🙏
very well explained and straight to the point. as a question, how much time do you put into the production of a song. over my last 12 released songs I took a little excel to check my "production costs/time" and was on average writing, recording, producing, mixing, mastering for roughly 80h per track. There is no way I can do more than one track a month (and this is already tough) with a job and family, playing and rehersing for life shows. Okay, these are 3 min. songs so I'd assume 1min. songs could be done much faster but still, would be 20h. but most of my songs would lack significantly if there is no resolution to the story, after all it is singer/songwriter music which has a story arch. i can cut the guitar solos ;) saying that, I am playing with the thought putting out simpler produced acoustic versions of my songs (there is enough material for years, maybe not all great but enough good songs) and put them out, which could increase my outup. however, these would sound probably completely different to my produced stuff.
I trust you since I've seen you video grow, do you think you can make a video on HOW exactly you get that 50% cut with your collab artists? The royalties side of things is an enigma to me haha
Thank you for dropping so music game for us my bro, your work hasn’t gone unnoticed, any other gems you have about the music industry Please do more vids👏🏾
Putting out a song every week is honestly insane. I don't think that's realistic for most artists at all. But if it works for you then go for it. I think it's a good idea to advise artists to net feel pressured to favor quantity over quality at the expense of favoring spotify's algorithim. At the end of the day, consistency is key but at what cost lol. Cuz every week is MENTAL
It's not about the frequency, its about consistency and building a catalog of music overtime. If you want, do it monthly. Point is that you should be sticking to it.
@@lancelancenese how many instruments do you play ? How long you've been singing and writting lyrics ? Do you understand that writing a song is not the same as making a beat ? I really appreciate your video. I think it gives me a boost of confidence and hope. I struggle with the idea that streams of original songs pay less than a penny. I keep procrastinating and trying to convince myself. But all I really want is to make music; bring my songs in my head when I sing and write to life. Yet, of course, who isn’t struggling financially? Thank you again. I need to believe in myself and pursue my passion. You have my sub. I look forward to hearing your music!
Damn. You honestly blew my mind when you said you release music every Friday. For some reason I had this belief that all my music on Spotify has to be perfect and the "Release every week" approach is "wrong" or "amaetur" Meanwhile, it's the approach I've always lived by. Commiting to doing the task (be it workout, meditation session, making content) - even if it's not that great at the moment. But consistently, over a long time period. Thanks man. This was one of those a-ha moments for me. Cheers :D
@@Josh-zr9by No doubt, but you also can't deny that most doing this strategy will end up improving their music in the process. This weekly release approach gives you a goal to move towards. Something you look forward to achieving every week. Helps you get rid of some of the perfectionism and forces you to FINISH your projects. Lol.
@@MyshkoMusic True, but it also raises the question. In one week, can a person make impactful music? Thoughtful music? Can it make the listener feel something, and delve into a niche sound? 99.9% of the time, no. In a week, they will be focused on churning out quantity over quality. I reckon once a month is a better strategy.
@@Josh-zr9by Yeah I guess releasing once a month would work better for many people. Maybe myself included even lol. I often have periods where I can't come up with anything I like no matter how much I try. I usually have to take a break to regain inspiration. As Beautiful Beats said, don't force yourself to release if you feel the quality isn't there But then again, the amount of time you spend on a project shouldn't be an indicator of how good it is. To this day, my favorite track I've ever released was one that I finished making in 2 days. And I have projects I've worked on for literal MONTHS just to end up HATING them.
Mate, how much did you spend to get 500k? As it looks is half dropped since posted this video, so honestly I went through all of these and the conclusion is one, if you want to perform well on Spotify pr any other platforms there is 2 options: doing gigs or signing a label that owns a portion from Spotify.
thank you very much for taking the time to make this video and give it to us. It felt so comfortable, you explained everything so well, thank you very much 🙏🏼 new sub right here
I see your monthly listeners have crossed 700,000, and your artist popularity index is at 50%, which is fantastic. Typically, artists with a popularity index of around 45% can make it onto editorial playlists. However, I noticed you haven't been featured on any Spotify editorial playlists. This is a bit puzzling, considering your talent and the quality of your music. You deserve that extra push more than many others. I am really curious as to why they havent put you on editorial!
I’ve actually heard mixed reviews about being on editorials. A lot of times editorials just get random passive listeners and not organic fans but idk. Also you may be on it for like a week and then off it after that and it hurts the performance of the song. I’m not too worried about it honestly.
I completely understand your perspective, and if you tailor your pitch to your specific genre, editorial support can significantly enhance your "Fans Also Like" recommendations. This improvement arises from their access to better listening habit data, even if your save and follow rates may not be exceptionally high. It could be more about how artists are engaging with your music. Streams from editorial are not important in your case; it's more about spotify editorial evaluating your track's performance and placing it on more prominent "Algotorial" and "personalized editorial playlists." This approach can lead to substantial growth in your Spotify followers, potentially reaching millions of monthly streams without having to rely on FB Ads too much since you would have an extremely high follower count [Typically 10% followers listen on release radar first 28 days so if you had 100,000 followers that would be a great advantage on every release day to get your song above 30% PPI quickly]. You've got all the elements in place to aim for editorial features and the potential to double your income. I'm genuinely puzzled as to why Spotify hasn't featured your music yet, given your high index, but I'm not implying any wrongdoing. One possible factor to consider is the fan conversion rate, which can be a bit challenging, especially for producers. Have you been actively pitching your songs to the editorial team? If you specify the playlist you'd like to target in your pitch, I'm confident it can boost your chances of getting featured. I used to think that Facebook ads might not be the best data for Spotify editorial pitches, but I'm reconsidering that view, given the success I've witnessed. @@BeautifulBeats99
@@BeautifulBeats99 THIS. I’ve had three different songs end up on editorial playlists, and every time all it did was hurt the organic algorithmic performance for all the reasons you just wrote. Advice is great! So is your music!
Thanks for the content bro, very nice. Personally, I think releasing a song a week is a bit much but I do understand the concept behind it. I think per month is more realistic as it gives you time to promote the song properly. I managed an artist in NZ and we got a number 1 song through a combination of things, including some of the things you mention in this video. However, I would say that there is no perfect marketing plan as it depends on so many external factors. My suggestion to anyone reading this is to try a variety of tactics and see which combination works for your music.
Good tips overall, but 1 minute songs? That might be beneficial if you are trying to maximize streams and repeats. Granted, pop songs have been getting shorter and shorter lately (closer towards the 3 minute mark) in order to maximize streams, but a one-minute song feels like a song demo to me, an undeveloped song idea with barely enough time to communicate meaningful message. Are any major artists performing 1 minute songs live? There are plenty of artists that really need to trim their songs to at least under 5 minutes imo (I get bored if it gets too long), and then you have all of those 10 minute long Bob Dylan songs.
I think the world is moving to shorter and shorter. I’m just trying to be ahead of the curve and seeing great results from it. Also it’s still possible to enjoy a 1 minute song just as much as any other length song. At the end of the day do what you enjoy making ❤️
@@BeautifulBeats99 Back in the early 1960's, most pop songs were under 2 minutes. A collaborator and I recently created a sub-3 minute song that is literally 3 one minute songs stitched together (same key, different tempos, similar chord progressions). It all seems to work as 3 one minute songs combined, so there is something to be said for the 1 minute idea, but in our case it wouldn't work quite as well if it were in a playlist because of the natural gaps of silence that occur between playing tracks.
I've watched two of your videos and they've both been very down to Earth and give a lot of information that definitely helps demystify this whole process, so thank you for doing what you do 🌹
You're the first commentator I've heard suggest the concept of shorter songs - I think you're right on the money with that one. I've been creating songs that are still 3 minutes long, but they're more in the classic rock dept, and should normally be longer. No more three verses, three pre-choruses, three choruses, bridge etc.
More of this pleasant vibe videos with tips and information like you would do it. I think this helps the most for us to understand how the algorithm of Spotify works!
Damn, what a great video. I feel like I’ve watched countless hours in this niche now, and you actually said things I’ve never heard before. Very real, very helpful.
Thanks for your fantastic advice, loved it and subscribed to your channel. One comment though: the random video cuts/zooms from the same angle were so distracting for me I had to turn my monitor off. It worked fine as a podcast, so no big deal. But if you could somehow A/B test a few videos with some of them just one long shot only interrupting when you are using other footage, maybe you would find people still sticking around without all the cuts? Looking forward to more of your stuff!
That is the best thing I could have wanted to hear: Don't try to get into curated playlists. I now realize that it makes no sense. Thank You a lot for your genuine information, greatly appreciated.
Dammm in my genra.. its extremely hard to make a song every friday... too expensive.... we record live.. 3 trumpets (1st 2nd 3rd) 2 sax (alto/tenor) piano bass percussion. 3 conga/guira/tambora..... studio..... all live. Merengue is still old school... so expensive to record. HELP
For someone who started making music last year, and who has seen the ups and downs and the struggles of getting those clicks to your spotify and the endless hours spent on making reels and tiktoks, only to get 50 likes and 300 views, I needed to watch this video. Your best advice - 'Put out a song every week or every 2 weeks, why not?' I asked myself, 'WHY NOT?' And it's so simple. Not like anyone cares. Nobody is going to come and tell me, 'STOP RELEASING SONGS EVERY WEEK, THAT's BAD STRATEGY'. So why not? I am going to try this. Maybe I won't be able to put out a song every week, or even every 2 weeks, but I WILL TRY. Thanks bro.
the great thing is (talking about the end of your video) you're talking about consistently releasing a ton of music. the beautiful thing about that, is that you get to view your growth as an artist and as a creator. kind of like when you first start working out and you think you're alright but you suck at bench. then a year later you see how much weight you've put on the bar it blows your mind from where you started. :)
Agreed with every point you said except sticking to one genre . It's just a personal preference for me to create in the mood of the moment without boundaries . Defiantly logical advice though , Great vid
It's exactly that. Thanks for making a truly objective video on the topic. There's no secret weapon, it's consistency + quality + obstination. Can't be different 💯
I’ve been having this problem for a while and I just don’t understand the concept of good promotion. Like how I know my music isn’t the best it can be but it isn’t terrible so how can I get more people to listen?

Very inspiring! I love making content, but that time sink can take away from actual writing and recording music. Last year I released one song a week with an animated video, which was tough to say the least. But I'm at least feeling wanting to write more music now ❤

thanks man for the tips ,i love the way you produce beats and songs . can you make in depth tutorial of how you make beats or course of your beats making process , i will love that.
I like this guy. I been around music industry a minute. And your frame of mind is winner. I like your take on producer artist relationship. You don't hear that much from producers. I think most just wanna break upcoming artist pockets for just a beat. No promo etc.
would love to know what you put in for FB/IG ad's in those man cause for myself sure we can have a well thought out video promo of it but its the matter is how and who is going to see it and how are they going to be like hey lets click this and stream this.
Thanks man, sometimes we over think it. Are you directly pushing ads to Spotify or a link tree with multiple platforms? (Apple Music, Amazon, etc as well)
this TAKES TIME. But its so worth it to have some decent passive revenue coming in every month. Build organically and build independently.
Am I gonna be old by the time this happens?

Meanwhile, it's the approach I've always lived by. Commiting to doing the task (be it workout, meditation session, making content) - even if it's not that great at the moment. But consistently, over a long time period.
Thanks man. This was one of those a-ha moments for me.
Cheers :D
Glad I could help!
The music still has to be good though. Most doing this strategy just make mediocre music.
As Beautiful Beats said, don't force yourself to release if you feel the quality isn't there
But then again, the amount of time you spend on a project shouldn't be an indicator of how good it is. To this day, my favorite track I've ever released was one that I finished making in 2 days. And I have projects I've worked on for literal MONTHS just to end up HATING them.
Fantastic points made here. Very valuable guidance and practical insight 👍👍😊
Would rather see consistent growth
Thank you beautiful beats. Great motivation 🙏
SO happy to help!
I've watched two of your videos and they've both been very down to Earth and give a lot of information that definitely helps demystify this whole process, so thank you for doing what you do 🌹
Thank you for this video, I am a new artist and was working on an EP but I will release them as singles instead and try to see some growth :)
..ya...put out a song a month to maximize the marketing potential etc....if you release too often your songs will be in competition with themselves
Thank you so much! I’m trying to pursue putting out my music and other content and this really helped!
That's very good advice! Thank you!
Thank you for the information and I wish you more success. I’m starting my music journey ❤
More of this pleasant vibe videos with tips and information like you would do it. I think this helps the most for us to understand how the algorithm of Spotify works!
Facts! Preciate the game you dropping 🙏🏼
Damn, what a great video. I feel like I’ve watched countless hours in this niche now, and you actually said things I’ve never heard before. Very real, very helpful.
Finally a video that briefly and usefully summarizes everything about Spotify growth! Thanks a lot!
Thank you SO MUCH for publishing this video!! I learned a lot
Thanks so much bro love u too ❤ hopefully making a song with u someday 🎉😮
Thanks for your fantastic advice, loved it and subscribed to your channel. One comment though: the random video cuts/zooms from the same angle were so distracting for me I had to turn my monitor off. It worked fine as a podcast, so no big deal. But if you could somehow A/B test a few videos with some of them just one long shot only interrupting when you are using other footage, maybe you would find people still sticking around without all the cuts? Looking forward to more of your stuff!
That was such a honest video. Straight to the point. Actual good advice!
Thank you!
most genuine video i've ever seen, keep it up man
That is the best thing I could have wanted to hear: Don't try to get into curated playlists. I now realize that it makes no sense.
Thank You a lot for your genuine information, greatly appreciated.
Great tips bro 🙏 gonna give the instagram ads a try for my next song
you gor this!
Awesome advice - thank you bro!
Great tips. Thank you ✌️
Dammm in my genra.. its extremely hard to make a song every friday... too expensive.... we record live.. 3 trumpets (1st 2nd 3rd) 2 sax (alto/tenor) piano bass percussion. 3 conga/guira/tambora..... studio..... all live. Merengue is still old school... so expensive to record. HELP
Can you go over your Facebook ads strategy in more details? Like walk us through how to set it up? Or make a mini course out of it? Thanks!
my facebook ads don’t even work and i don’t know why. it says it’s live but never charges me
For someone who started making music last year, and who has seen the ups and downs and the struggles of getting those clicks to your spotify and the endless hours spent on making reels and tiktoks, only to get 50 likes and 300 views, I needed to watch this video.
Thanks so much for this! I've been putting a song every week this year since February, I'd love a course on the marketing!
This is great advice, i am putting this in action starting February.
Thank you
Great stuff. Thanks dude
Agreed with every point you said except sticking to one genre . It's just a personal preference for me to create in the mood of the moment without boundaries . Defiantly logical advice though , Great vid
Thanks for this man. You didn't need to make this for us but I am glad you took the time to.
Very insightful thank you for sharing 🙏
It's exactly that.
Thanks for making a truly objective video on the topic.
There's no secret weapon, it's consistency + quality + obstination. Can't be different 💯
Mate. Just so cool and spot on. I just swallowed your video. Thanx! Inspired to move my “PRIVATE” links to “PUBLIC”
I’ve been having this problem for a while and I just don’t understand the concept of good promotion. Like how I know my music isn’t the best it can be but it isn’t terrible so how can I get more people to listen?
Bro this is what I needed to hear. Ur genuine and real. No gimmick . This i will follow till I die . Respect I will now listen to all 6oyr shit and support . Thanks for helping us
Love bro! Happy to help!
Very inspiring! I love making content, but that time sink can take away from actual writing and recording music. Last year I released one song a week with an animated video, which was tough to say the least. But I'm at least feeling wanting to write more music now ❤
Loved this video. Love your energy and your passion for making music. To the point, clear, and no bullshit. Would love to collaborate with you or remix one of your tracks if our paths align to make it so.
Good information, what company do you use to put out your music. Thanks
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Great video thanks for posting Beautiful Beats
thanks man for the tips ,i love the way you produce beats and songs . can you make in depth tutorial of how you make beats or course of your beats making process , i will love that.
I have quite a bit of those videos on my channel!
also check instagram!
absolute gold man thanks so much
If 3 minutes is too long, then music itself is over.
Motown tracks were shorter in the 60s. It's entirely genre and audience dependant. As is the promotion avenue which he fails to mention.
Saturation is the reason why
Got to try this
You’re very inspirational bro. Thank you for the advice 🙏🏾
I like this guy. I been around music industry a minute. And your frame of mind is winner. I like your take on producer artist relationship. You don't hear that much from producers. I think most just wanna break upcoming artist pockets for just a beat. No promo etc.
Solid advice, thanks!
You mentioned FB and IG ads, but not any details, are you sending people directly yo Spotify, to a landing page, What type of campaigns etc...
I have some doubts as well on this, curious to understand where the 500.000 people came from
would love to know what you put in for FB/IG ad's in those man cause for myself sure we can have a well thought out video promo of it but its the matter is how and who is going to see it and how are they going to be like hey lets click this and stream this.
Thanks man, sometimes we over think it. Are you directly pushing ads to Spotify or a link tree with multiple platforms? (Apple Music, Amazon, etc as well)
