I have over 60000 miles on my 2001 Reflex and even though it just crapped out it's stator, I still love the thing. When I purchased the scooter 5 years ago it had 14500 miles on it. It has been a wonderful machine. Waiting on the stator and the new gasket to come in so I can get some more riding in before the snow flies!!😁

I'm 6'2 at 265lbs I have a 2003 Reflex 250 with 8200 miles on odometer. it will top out at 70 on the interstate and gets 62mpg. I do live in Cheyenne WY and ride it to Denver a couple times a year. Have recently replaced the clutch, Front fork seals, and tires. Going on a trip next month to Yellowstone which should be fun.

I just laid down my reflex today. Messed myself up pretty good but the bike is in great condition, just needs some touch up paint and sanding on the body. I was on the highway way luckily getting off so I was only going about 25 mph

I have a stock 03 Reflex and i will not add any mods to mine. It has just over 5k, looks and runs like new. I had mine up to 80 mph and that was fast enough for me. I´ve owned all types, sizes, brands of bikes in my life, and my Reflex is my favorite to ride. It is so comfortable to ride, has plenty of storage space, plenty of power, and i am just crazy about it. So, no mods needed for my Reflex!!

Same here! But if I were to do replace them someday I would go that route. I have had the Elite 150, and 250, and my latest is the Reflex 250 2003 model. I bought it summer of 2019, and I said 2020 is going to be a great year for riding! I jinx myself when I said it. I have a Givi 42l trekker case in the rear that gives me enough space to do grocery shopping. I have a custom bag for the case so I never go over the limits of the case. It's been a great city bike. I have done all the works on my other bike, and the Reflex I have taken it to the shop, because it is harder to get to the engine. So far I have done the gear and oil change and filter and replace belts and spark plugs. Even changing the tires is harder, so I miss that ease of self repair.
I find that the elite 250 is pretty much on par with the Reflex 250 in HWY riding. Reflex is faster, but there is a bit of wind shuttling between the body of the Reflex at around 65mph, where as the elite 250 is a like a brick but less shuttling of the wind. But it moves like a heavy hammer. I suspect that it is my trekker top case causing it.
I'm originally from Michigan and been there a year ago, and I would not be happy dodging so many potholes. It has change so much in 15 years. However with the PNW heatwave we had, many of the roads buckled from the 115 degree heat.

Just got my 2007 Honda Reflex Special Edition on the Rosd a week ago ... bought it 3 weeks ago ...... SILVER , GIVI TRUNK , NEW CLUTCH , 2,080 MILES ..... 2 ND OWNER ...... RIDES LIKE A DREAM ....!!!! MY FAVROITE SCOOTER BEFORE WAS ALWAYS TGE HONDA ELITE ..... ESPICALLY THE 150 WITH THE POP OUT HEAD LIGHT ... I USE TO BUY AND SELL ALL ELITES MAINLY 80 CC &150 CC MY FIRST WAS THE 1984CC I BOUGHT FOR $50 AND SOLD IT FOR $400 WAS JUNKY BUT THAT GOT ME STARTED BUYING AND SELLING ABOUT 250-300 OF THEM BETWEEN 2007-2009 AVRAGE PRICE $125 GOT THEM BETWEEN $80 - $150 EVEN HAD SOME 50CC AND A FEW 250CC
BUT YEA I LOVE HAVING THE LAST YEAR MADE OF THE REFLEX OR ANY MODEL SO ALL THE KINKS CAN BE WORKED OUT .... LOTS OF ROOM ... LOVE THE ABS BREAKS ( WAS SUPRISED ABOUT THAT ... THINK I MIGHT NEED SOME NEW BREAKS IN A FEW MONTHS OR SO ??? OR JUST NOT USE TO THE BREAKS ON THEM WITH THAT MUCH WEIGHT OR MAYBE SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE ADJUSTED ???
BUT LIVE THE SILVER COLOR ... I PAID $2800 FOR THE 2007 WITH 2,000 MILES ON IT .... HITS ABOUT 80 MPH WICH IS GREAT FOR ME WOULD BE NICE IF IT HAD A LITTLE MORE ACCELERATION AT THE LIKE 35 - 45 MPH HOUR RANGE ....??? FROM TAKE OFF GREAT .... BUT IDK I DONT MIND IT MY FATHER SAID HE DID SOME RESEARCH AND THAT WAS ONE THING PEOPLE COMPLAINED ABOUT A BIT .... BUT NO BIGGIE ...I LIVE .... IT HAS A PARKING BREAK AWSOME

I love all the 250+ cc scooters, the Helix, Reflex, Forza, Silverwing, Burgman, and various Kymco models (a friend has a 250 Bet & Win) and desperately want one myself some day! The whole idea of a comfortable and sporty touring scooter that you can easily ride cross-country just seems so amazing and they all look so futuristic, while still having relatively simple internals to work on yourself. I want a regular motorcycle with gears some day too, but I think a scooter with room for some groceries under the seat will be an easier sell to my family to begin with.

This looks like a good maxi-scooter, but I would prefer the Helix mainly because of its comfort. You can ride the Helix all day and be comfortable. Not quite so much with this one. But then the Helix is the Barcalounger on wheels.

I have never owned or ridden a Honda Reflex, but I have owned, and ridden 2 Honda Helix Scoots, and for Scoots, I will not ride anything else other than a Honda Helix. They are just so comfortable. You can ride them at 70+ mph all day long, and park in the evening, and step off, without being the least bit tired, and step right back on, and ride all night long. It's like sitting in lazy boy recliner chair, with 2 wheels, a set of handlebars, and a 250 cc engine, with a built in storage trunk. Can you ride like that on your Honda Reflex ? I kinda doubt it.

Sorry, you are close, but not close enough - ride the Honda CN250, also known als Honda Helix or Honda Fusion. After this ride you´ll never ride your Reflex...

Try pulling one up on the center stand. It is no ch250 elite or riva 200 yamaha. . The center stand could be in a more balanced place or larger. It is liking lifting the bike straight up as opposed to rocking it onto the stand.. In fact I beleieve a honda cb 750 was easier to pull up,

high mileage..essential engine oil change every 3000 miles or less... they only hold about 1200cc so it doesnt cost much..

I heard the Honda Helix is way better.

    • @johncribbs8382
      @johncribbs8382 3 роки тому

Its the same thing only helix is lighter and less storage. They both have a low center of gravity and are longer then traditional scooters. Very comfortable smooth ride. I would not expect to be doing any donuts or drifts with one. I am not sure about highway riding on any scooter imo. The helix looks cooler if your born pre 1990. To find a good low km helix would be very difficult . You can pick up a decent reflex fairly cheap considering people want $2000 for 80cc big wheel yamaha.

@@johncribbs8382 The Helix has less storage? It actually has a full trunk. lol

I personally prefer the helix to the reflex in every aspect but mechanical performance.
Although the true dream would be a helix with a forza engine swap
