I have over 60000 miles on my 2001 Reflex and even though it just crapped out it's stator, I still love the thing. When I purchased the scooter 5 years ago it had 14500 miles on it. It has been a wonderful machine. Waiting on the stator and the new gasket to come in so I can get some more riding in before the snow flies!!😁

I have done all the works on my other bike, and the Reflex I have taken it to the shop, because it is harder to get to the engine. So far I have done the gear and oil change and filter and replace belts and spark plugs. Even changing the tires is harder, so I miss that ease of self repair. I find that the elite 250 is pretty much on par with the Reflex 250 in HWY riding. Reflex is faster, but there is a bit of wind shuttling between the body of the Reflex at around 65mph, where as the elite 250 is a like a brick but less shuttling of the wind. I love all the 250+ cc scooters, the Helix, Reflex, Forza, Silverwing, Burgman, and various Kymco models (a friend has a 250 Bet & Win) and desperately want one myself some day! The whole idea of a comfortable and sporty touring scooter that you can easily ride cross-country just seems so amazing and they all look so futuristic, while still having relatively simple internals to work on yourself. I want a regular motorcycle with gears some day too, but I think a scooter with room for some groceries under the seat will be an easier sell to my family to begin with.
