More sinister happenings from REH. If we stay on schedual we should have 'Children of the night' ready in 2 weeks (no, it's not about vampires, haha).
I read the Marvel comic adaptation by Gil Kane and Tom Palmer back in the 70s. This is the first time I heard the actual story it was adapted from (loved the sound effects). Thank you.
Love that Cross Plains, Texas accent. Another great reading.
This is excellent .
Last year I had an laser eye surgery, so I had to lay in the dark for a week,
and man did I listen THE HELL out of your readings.
Thank you sir, this is by far THE BEST Robert Howard reading channel out there!
Thank you, hope you're better now.
First class! 👍😊
Fantastic! It's always a great day when a new Cybrarian video drops. 😎🔥🙌
well we hope to be drop a new piece every 2 weeks from now
Excellent narration, any work by Howard is worth featuring! This was always a favorite of mine. Well done folks! 👏
So glad to see you covering REH horror. This story was well done. Hope to one day hear “The Horror from the mound” on this channel. One of my favorites. Thanks for all the work you do!
horror from the mound, weird western from 1932, interesting idea
Cthulhu is mostly new to me. I tried reading a long time ago when I burned through all the Conan stories and whatever else I could find by Howard. Then life got in the way and I always wanted to get back to it. The narration makes it alive and as a REH fan these passed up stories got me waiting for the next one. Again, thank you for these. You never fail to amaze.
always happy to hear it
Excellent
Wow. You've made this old familiar story come alive, with new emphasis, and eerie atmosphere. Thanks for the gift.
Our pleasure!
One of my favorites from his Cthulhu Mythos entries!
Great work
Rather excellent. Thanks!
...more cthulhu coming soon
Excellent voice acting!! ❤ Love the sound effects too esp the “tittering” in the background! Well done!!
Now we’re talking! ⚔️
I don’t see much about Cthulhu here but I’ve studied the occult for 34 years and a lot of this story is on point.
I DIG IT...Thanks
Marvelous work! I love the little explanatory addendum, turning this from a simple first person narration, into the notes of Kirowan.
Might I suggest 'The Hoofed Thing' as your next project?
great idea, unfortunately not in the public domain as it wasn't printed til 1970
but we should be doing 'children of the night' with Kirowan next
Listening I could almost imagine this was Howard himself reading his work out loud as he pounded away on his typewriter.
we did something a little like that at the beginning of the hyborean age video...

This story is probably the actual reason Damnation sometimes reminds me of REH. Not the 1930s setting, not the fact that the sheriff kinda looks like Lovecraft, not coz that one journalist was an aspiring novelist. It's this story. Coz of that damn song at the pilot.
Super creepy
I like the list of his occult studies going "devil worship.... and Shintoism"
be careful o that Shintoism, i hear it a gateway occult study, haha
also you do you a good Sothern accent
Any plans on covering spear and fang by ol Robbert?
well it's not on our agenda currently but it is still public domain so we should get to it at some point
@@TheCybrarian
Hope so ! Looking forward to it
