hell yes, after 13 years i still love my 5.2 zj which is now a cammed/tuned 5.9 with a full manual tranny
That’s awesome brother, always wanted to manual swap mine to an AX-15 with a short throw shifter. Manual is way better than automatic.
Also have you thought about adding on the later model SRT grand Cherokee from 2012 to current ?
Adding another Jeep to the fleet ? I’m good, the next vehicle is a C6 Z06 if I can find the right one. I would also have to get rid of at least one Jeep, possibly both.

I order my parts from Summit Racing, JEGS, and Hughes Engines. I have not broken any differentials.

A lot has changed in the last 7 years, I recently got shadow banned for sharing Red Pill knowledge and telling the truth about the world that we now live in. The panel for the touch screen was made by my audio shop.

Best body style GC by far. Lightweight, powerful, reliable, and easily repairable. I only use UA-cam and I appreciate the support over the years.
I went to the junkyard and pulled a 5.9 limited zj pcm and swapped it in my 5.2 zj 97... it does run better and shifts better and idles and feels better.. I'm going to do some motor work soon.
That makes sense considering the 5.9 ZJ computer has a more aggressive tune than the 5.2 ZJ, mainly for the 93 octane requirement and the slightly advanced timing on the 5.9 ZJ.
I dont mean any offense, but I highly doubt that misfire was from the oil drip. I have a lot of negative feedback from plug wires touching each other and anything that will transfer spark. I cut up 1/2" or 7/16" rubber hose to slide over the plug wires in various spots to help prevent arcing. I cut them in small lengths and down the middle and pop them on just like the plastic bs. Ugly, but effective.
No offense taken my dude, it was just a possibility that came to mind. I have wire separators but don't have those protective sleeves that you see guys use on a small block Ford or Chevy with a distributor style ignition or even on an LS that has coil packs. The check engine light ended up coming back on so you are correct, it isn't the oil drip causing the problem. It just caused extra smoke and a burnt smell from under the hood. I might look into those wire sleeves to see if those help, it couldn't hurt anything.
@@98ZJ318 You have the same MSD wires I have. I noticed mine were a few inches longer making it impossible to mount without hanging on everything. I never got a check engine light, just pinging. Do you have an MSD box in this ZJ?
@@leakyjeep5.9 Yea you're right, the wires could be shorter and that might help. It has the Digital 6AL Box.
@@98ZJ318 Can you bypass the MSD box and see if the light stays off? I think that is your cause. I've never had a check engine light from plug wires.
@@leakyjeep5.9 It's either from the ignition box or from the cat delete. My 5.9 has the same ignition box and it has never thrown a check engine light from it. I still have the cat on my 5.9 which kind of proves to me that it is either the cat delete or the rear O2 sensor on the 5.2 that is causing the check engine light. P0420 is the code for the rear O2 sensor and that code has never gone away. I will replace the rear O2 sensor next to see if that solves the issue, they are only $36.
