To be honest, Puyo Puyo would become another Fire Emblem in terms of characters (but unlike FE, you add some major/minor/villain characters).
What i can think from this Video:
-Hornet, Hatsune Miku & Segata Sanshiro are gonna be Joke Characters
-Puyo Puyo is the Fire Emblem of Sega Smash Bros

Some Sonic characters having their own unique victory themes, however I think I would make Shadow’s a bit of *“All Hail Shadow”* and Eggman’s having a bit of *“I am the E.G.G.M.A.N”* otherwise pretty good concept.
With other characters you had me hyping and gushing over them!
Ristar, Vectorman, Opa Opa, Sketch Turner, Hornet and Alis are all so based!
I wonder how Ecco the Dolphin, the Puyo Puyo characters and Miku would work but I’m interested. Also Segata Sanshiro is really up there with having the best victory theme.

Honestly, Segata Sanshiro is too broken to be a playable character. He would fit better as the final boss like Master Hand or Polygon Man.
I had him as a trophy in my list. Why not? You get him and he’s instant comeback mechanic.
Props for putting in Vectorman, Daytona and Comix Zone. Would’ve been cool if we had Decap Attack and The Ooze, but this is still a pretty solid lineup.

I Think the best option for sonic series is a Remake of the Sonic 1 Act Clear Theme. Also The Angry Birds are a good option for a sega smash game

Sega's one of my top picks for a platform fighter, so thanks for posting this. Though for the Sonic cast, I'd have the 06 iteration of the level clear theme for Silver, Shadow should have the mission clear theme from his spinoff game, and Eggman could have one of the game over themes since he's the big bad and all. Also, did you intend for the Puyo Puyo characters to be alt skins of each other like Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings?
Some of them are too long for my liking... But you can use them for the Victory Screen after the Jingle :D

There are many good choices but I also feel many choices are odd, like Puyo Puyo got more rep than most IPs even the other popular ones, Persona 4 got two rep but 3 & 5 got one each (and of course no 1 & 2 rep), a single SMT rep, the Golden Axe trio isn’t complete, and Crazy Taxi doesn’t have its protag.
I would’ve added Demi-fiend nahobino or Raidou Kuzunoha as the SMT rep tbh

These are really good. It makes me wish SEGA would actually make something like this one day. Also, thank god for you using Hatsune Miku's V1 model as the icon, I've missed seeing her like that for a long time. And... I like how you included the logo of the original game the character belonged to in the top right, which really reminds me of the All Stars Racing series (Well, the first two anyway, as the third one... isn't even an All Stars game). If you wanted to continue this as a series, it'd be cool if you could come up with ideas for final smashes for these characters too.
Segata Sanshiro is a pretty funny inclusion. You could probably make memes out of most of the Saturn adverts he's been in.

If this game ever became reality, I would ABSOLUTELY be maining Segata Sanshiro (along with Shadow and Miku (you know for a FACT that they’d use her Sonic costume as an alternate costume))! I would hope that they could maybe also include Dan Kuso & Dragonoid from the original Bakugan Battle Brawlers series, since that’s largely owned by SEGA (and if they *really* wanted to surprise people, and make a good few people (including me) REALLY happy and shocked, they could also include Leonidas from the original video game)!

This type of thing very nearly happened. Remember Sonic and SEGA All Stars Racing? The Original one? There was a version of it on the Wii. Mario was originally going to be a guest character, but they decided to go with a Mii instead, as the Xbox version had its dedicated Avatar as a playable character. And that game is also the last time Nuts and Bolts Banjo Kazooie was seen to any capacity.

I agree because SEGA has so many unique franchises and characters that are sadly criminally under-utilized because SEGA became way too over reliant on Sonic.
Heck SEGA’s best series currently isn’t even there Sonic series but there Yakuza series which is such an underrated series that oozes that distinct "Sega-like" charm that used to see back when SEGA was in their prime.

before i begin the daytona rep’s moveset, i should say that despite the victory theme being a good callback to the franchise, i feel like the original works better, but with that all said and done, here’s the moveset
first and foremost, we would be playing as the driver of the hornet, david. he’d have basic jabs and punches
smash attacks:
s-smash: he’d pull out a trophy and do a quick slash to hit any opponent in front of him
d-smash: he’d hop in a smaller version of the hornet and do a quick donut like move to sweep any opponents
u-smash: he pulls out a tire and sends it up to hit anyone above him
basic attacks:
s-tilt: he pulls out a wrench and does a quick sweep to hit anyone
d-tilt: he uses a car jack to send opponents above him
u-tilt: a simple uppercut with a trophy will do
arials: you guys come up with this i don’t have any ideas
throws:
f-throw: the hornet crashes into the person being thrown
b-throw: the hornet’s tires spin as the opponent is launched behind the car
d-throw: a tire falls onto the opponent
u-throw: a podium appears underneath the opponent and sends them flying up
specials:
neutral: like mega man’s metal blade in smash, david can throw out a steering wheel in 8 directions
side: david will hop into a smaller hornet which will act similar to bowser jr’s clown car move
up: david will send himself up using a pile of tires
final smash:
david will start the fs off by hoping into the hornet, which will then drive across the screen, anyone caught by the hornet will be transported to a cinematic which shows a race where cars proceed to drive over them, at the end, a car will start to flip and will ultimately crash into the opponents sending them flying. there are 3 variations of this which takes place on the original three tracks from the original daytona usa.
alt. skins
there are 9 alternate colors in total, with the first being the classic hornet and the rest being the 8-player colors from the arcade (red, blue, yellow, green, black, pink, orange, and cyan). not only will this change david’s race suit color, but this will also change the color of the hornet
that’s all folks!

down: david will use a drill (that people use when replacing tires), stick it in the ground, and send small projectiles flying. if used too long the drill will turn off

Unless all the Puyo Puyo characters are alternate costumes or something, we do not need that many reps for just one series like it's Fire Emblem in Smash Bros. Instead, let me suggest some characters that people would actually be excited for.
* Yukari Takeba and Goro Akechi for Persona
* Viola for Bayonetta
* Ax Battler and Death Adder for Golden Axe
* Metal Sonic, Rouge and Chaos for Sonic
* Pudding for Space Channel 5
* Mario as a guest character

Some of the victory themes are a bit too long.
I once wrote a roster some years back for Sega, and many characters have a lack of moveset. So I made it a 2v2 battle and changed up the idea of gameplay so that I could include less characters. I had Sonic and Knuckles, Shadow and Rouge, Bayonetta and Hibana (they are the same voice actress lol), Joe Musashi and Hotsuma, and even Shiva teamed up with Dural. Can’t remember others. I made complete movelists and everything. How would you get moves for some of these characters?
Nice! I've also done a roster not too long ago, based on the ones from the Smash Bros series, but not exactly with equivalent characters/franchises, but never actually stopped to think about a detailed moveset. The only thing I've done was base the fighting commands inspired by beat'em-up/fighting games already done by SEGA.
Tbf some of smash bros characters had the same issue and just made shit up. Captain Falcon and the Starfox crew are the biggest examples

Persona is owned by Atlus, and Atlus is owned by Sega, so yeah, 2nd Party
Shin Megami Tensei (And Persona by extention) is owned by Sega because they buyed Atlus. Bayonetta, on the other hand, is Nintendo's Second-Party since Bayonetta 2.

I like the picks for victory themes, but the roster is a mixed bag, and some could be removed either because lack of move set or because they're a little too obscure.
Here's some things I would change for the roster:
1. Most of the picks for the Sonic series are good but Silver I have mixed feelings on because his move set would be cool, but I feel like Blaze would be a more interesting pick over Sliver because of here usage of fire attacks.
2. Reala, Gum and Meemee are good picks, but I think they should be echos instead of characters with different move sets.
3. Edge is cool pick for Panzer Dragoon, but I would also like to see Azel added as a second rep for the Panzer Dragoon series.
4. Honey is a good pick for Fighting Vipers but if you're going to represent Fighting Vipers you got to have Bahn since he is the main mascot of the series.
5. Dynamite Headdy inclusion on the roster I'm mixed on because on one hand he would be a cool obscure rep for Treasure but on the other hand I feel like he is a little too obscure to be on the roster and could be replace with Pepper from Clockwork Knight.
6. Skies of Arcadia could have a second rep like Aika.
7. G and the Magician are cool I, but I think Zombio and Zombiko would be the much more interesting pick since the House of the Dead protagonists like are generally bland in personality so I would rather have Zombio and Zombiko as the main reps.
8. Yakuza is defiantly a series that needs representation in a SEGA All Stars game and Kiryu and Majima are by far my most wanted characters for a SEGA crossover game but Ichiban while a cool character I personally think having two Yakuza reps is enough.
9. Arel Nadja & Dark Prince are great picks for the roster, but I feel like the other Puyo Puyo characters outside of Arle and Dark Prince could be removed from the roster.
10. Opa-Opa I think should be reduce down to an Assist rather than playable character since I don't see move set potential with Opa-Opa.
11. Bayonetta could just one rep since Jeanne and Rodin would be too similar to Bayonetta unless if you want to make Rodin an echo.
12. Sakura Wars is cool, but I fill like the series would be too obscure to represent in a Crossover game.
13. Jack Cayman is a great pick, but I would also like to see Sam Gideon from Vanquish on the roster as well.
14. Claude Wallace, I think could be replace with Alicia Melchiott.
15. Ecco should be reduce to an Assist.
16. Hornet should also be reduced to an Assist.
17. I think Hotsuma should be removed
18. Derek Stiles should be reduce to an Assist.
Pretty sure most of these are based on that Thorgi's Arcade Sega Smash roster video. Most of the picks are suspiciously identical (not all of them, but most of them for sure).
