The day they let Cespedes go was the beginning of the end. I was sick to my stomach that day. Then when they suddenly mysteriously let Bob Melvin go I knew they made up their minds that they weren't going to stay despite what they were claiming at the time. Excellent video. Oakland A's Forever!!! 🐘💚⚾
The whole sticky mess for the A's did not begin with John Fisher; it began when Steve Schott and Ken Hoffman bought the team after Walter Haas passed away. John Fisher only made it worse.
Damn it Brodie... this was so hard to watch... choked up majorly. A beautiful tribute... I'm done with MLB. No more. I still have hope something will happen.
My brother raised his 4 kids in Oakland and they were regulars at A’s games starting in the 80’s up until this year. They all went to the game the other night to see the A’s win in a walk off. While happy to see a win, they said it was bittersweet…I feel for the fans and employees who made the coliseum home during the baseball season. It’s all very sad but MLB clearly doesn’t care about the fans otherwise they never would’ve allowed this to happen. A storied franchise, a great fanbase but a greedy owner. Usually 2 out 3 is a winner in baseball but not in this case. If it can happen here it can happen anywhere. 😢
I'm really curious if the people in Las Vegas want Fisher's team. I think that they would be better off with an expansion team, with an owner who cared about winning.
The A’s ownership group, the Haas family gave their south bay rights away to the Giants in 1993 so that the Giants wouldn’t move to Florida. It was supposed to have been given back. As a life long A’s fan, season ticket holder, threw out the first pitch in 1990, was at the 87 Allstar game, couple of World Series games, I am beyond disappointed, sad, and angry. That stadium was the memories held with my little 25 year old sister who passed away, my father. Who passed, my older brother, and mother. I know those are selfish reasons. I am sure that all of us A’s fans have those selfish memories in this time. The other thing to mention is the A’s were in the top attendance routinely in the late 80’s and 90’s. Also in the top 10 in the league during the early 2000’s Great video, and it’s just beyond terrible with what that ass hat Fisher has done with this team and town.
In a span of nearly 50 years, Oakland lost all four top-tier North American pro sports franchises including three in the last six. That's despite Oakland contributing to 10 of the San Francisco Bay Area's 21 top-tier Big Five pro sports titles.
Public money will always be needed for sports and entertainment. It benefits the local economy. Oakland offended billionaires and they showed who is in real power.
With all the drama swirling around, the A's have had a good season. I mean, yes, they will finish with at least 90 losses, but things were slated to be a hell of a lot worse. I feel for the fans there. They will get screwed because a bratty rich kid... has Daddy issues, I guess?
Oakland lost three teams mayor dont want sports team Fischer want money vegas is for money now fans crying, I hate sailing teams another town to another town, americans sports must stop doing that ,, beacuse tradition and fans,,,
Nah bruh you need more followers wtf. Good editing, comedic and pretty in-depth great job man.
Yo! Thanks for visiting the Coliseum!
And This video is perfect! Thank you 🙏🏻 💛⚾️💚
The earthquake during the 1989 Battle of the Bay was the Loma Prieta earthquake, not the Northridge quake.

Great video! Well made, fantastic timing, thoughtful script.

The City of Oakland and Alameda County governments also failed to nail down a baseball-only facility for the A's.
I love the Oakland As.
This is a shame

It's the San Diego Chargers all over again
Too bad you can't do a video about the Angels.
