I have an Indominus Rex deck as well and when I see the Gurmag Swiftwing I always have to recommend Spirit Of the Night instead. Granted you can run both but Spirit is a much better reanimating target as a 6/5. It swaps first strike for trample but still has three keywords
Rilsa was my first deck because I enjoyed the initiative mechanic... but then I switched to boros with Duke Ulder Ravenguard running myriad with the initiative... my absolute favorite lol
Fun fact - you can actually Stifle the room effect of a dungeon. That wastes significantly more of an Dungeon deck's time than stifling the Venture/Take The Initiative trigger, though it does still count as having completed a dungeon for things like Tomb of Horrors Adventurer et al.
Haven’t seen any of the best commander in magic on this channel in a while (Xenagos) would be sick to see him again soon. Some of these newer cards like Quake mole and Bloodthirster are so strong in his decks
See, this is why you shouldn't play Blood Moon, Rest in Peace, etc at more casual tables. It's just playing a stax card which stays on the field for _far too long_ and either utterly disrupts the game for everyone (including yourself) or is utterly ignored (too many basics at lower power). It's an opportunity cost which could have been used on something more useful and synergistic for your power level. Instead, you wanted to play what is essentially a meme. This is 100% equivalent to the guy who spurts an off-taste (for the group) meme joke then snickers to themselves for like an hour remembering they got to say "the meme" while everyone is praying they don't die of 3rd degree cringe.
They've since updated that, see these rulings from Blood Moon: "2020-08-07: If a nonbasic land has an ability that causes it to enter the battlefield tapped, it will lose that ability before it can apply. The same is also true of any other abilities that modify how a land enters the battlefield or apply “as” a land enters the battlefield, such as the first ability of Cavern of Souls."
The ending of the game was *so* sweet. Dungeon Delver coming in clutch for those final points of damage.
Nice, a full game with decklists. 10/10, Thankyou!
Love the indominus list

I'll definitely check that one out!
Flip side, Trample is a lot more accessible than First Strike. Keeping the keyword balance in Rex is Weird.
I have a Rilsa Rael deck that I LOVE, it's sneaky good once you get the initiative engine going and you fly through the Undercity like it's nothing.
I have a Safana//Dungeon Delver deck that does the same thing in the same colors. So cool to see Undercity representation!

Nah, what was that Rilsa Rael into? 💀
Oh nice, Rilsa Rael's a cool commander that I don't often see! I wonder how-
"...aiming to get out of my dungeon, and into hers"
AYO?
Rael-ing if you will 😅😁
He’s just like me fr
I wanna see this breena decklist so freaking much!!! My favorite commander!!
That entire game was insane, unfortunately Sam did not get to do much.
That was amazing. Nice work Andrew!
Thanks!

Quake Mole looks rad! It's hard to find people to take up the torch of Xenagos after the Xenabros had super a crushing run on the channel.
16:42 - ooooh, Mat's playing the _good_ Dark Ritual.
Breeeeeeeena! My favorite commander!
Did mat acknowledge that he was technically supposed to copy skittles? I know legendary rule nixes that but still
Rilsa is a strong enough commander that its cedh viable in pauper
The concept of guys dueling to get out of a guys basement is such a funny vid idea.

@3:50 Blood moon doesn't stop come into play tapped effects. The godless shrine still requires 2 life to be paid.

I need to quit watching these, I have too many decks already
omitting reading of the cards in the opening hand could shorten the video.
That's true! I've kept it in though since viewers have commented about missing it when I've removed it in the past.
I've always like it. It feels more personal, like @@MTGMuddstah is talking to the audience.
@@MTGMuddstahI like it cause I like knowing which one of you nerds sandbags your opening hand sol rings
Reminder that only psychopaths play Blood Moon 🤪
I am a psychopath then apparently!
@@MTGMuddstah Blood Moon is a certified Generic Goblin classic. I watched this game live, after all, hahaha.
