She wasy first ever commander deck I built seriously. And by serious I made her a vampire tribal commander with no synergy between her and cards in her deck, But gosh darn it, I loved that deck😤
Glad to see someone post a big video on my favorite commander too, fun to see how you built it, I play it very differently than you with more white cards and more group hugs/politics/stax/+1+1 and less graveyards cards, I love the defensive aspect of protecting the bird and myself while giving gifts to each person at the table. And then swooping for the win with commander damage or win cards. Ones of the best cards that work for me: Perch Protection: like teferis protection but more fair with 6 mana and you let someone destroy others and then you swoop for the win Scheming Symmetry: a fair tutor in my opinion compared to the expensive broken ones and works well with the politics aspect of breena Wedding Ring: very funny when you proposed someone in marriage and benefits if he plays life gains or draws cards Selfless Squire: very funny protective card Selfless Spirit and Vexilus preator: for protection and also creatures to trigger breena Inkshield: Protective, broken but works for my defensive deck Tainted Strike: win con in one turn and can also be put on an ennemy creature for politics to eliminate a threat at the table Noble Heritage: let you have more counters on breena while getting protection at the table, get out of hands very quickly
yay, nice to see you post this as well as your updated list. Been brewing my own list, largely inspired by yours. Some really interesting cards to consider: "high priest of penance" is so synergistic with breena. it's both powerful, political, aggressive and defensive. importantly also a cleric. "caustic bronco" i'm suprised you aren't using, seems like a card you'd enjoy. draws, does damage. "sorin, of house of markov" is a scary finisher when you have a big lifelinker out. like breena or sorin himself. "galadriels dismissal" to give the team evasion, or to save your one big creature so you still can sac it to technomancer later. "reluctant rolemodel" basically the ozolith as an evasive creature. makes opponents think twice before removing your massively buffed dudes. supports your technomancer gameplan, similar to galadriels dismissal. "ayara's oathsworn" The best creature to curve out. Repeatable tutor with retribution of the ancients. But not great later in the game. "hunted horror" is not great lol, but it's a fun high statted trampler in black. in case you want some trample. some generically good instant speed interaction and graveyard hate: "thraben charm" insanely good card. amazing in pauper, and amazing in edh. try it out over infernal grasp! "Necromancy" i just love the idea of entomb+necromancy at instant speed, as a toolbox answer to anything. "boggart trawler" to combo with the above. and just generically good. "Flare of fortitude/malice" more generically good MH3 removal. hurts to draw from dark confidant though "final showdown" insanely versatile.
Breena is probably one of my favorite precon commanders, and she was severely underrated upon release. All the times I’ve played her, I’ve found that generally EDH players tend to be so greedy that the card draw blinds them from the fact that you could be sitting there with a flying 9/11 creature (or often something bigger) to swing in for huge damage. It almost always goes under the radar, at least for a good portion of the game. Goading effects tend to be particularly effective with Breena since they could serve as both pseudo-removal and a +1/+1 counter engine. A specific card I have found works nicely is Constable of the Realm. It’s really good removal in a counter deck, especially if you can protect it. And Scholar of New Horizons is solid for repeatable ramp.
breena is so complicated, i use it in my queen marchesa and wow didnt know she can trigger twice in a turn if you do attack 2 opponents. I bought the re con deck, was thinking on making a deck with her at the head but dam, now i see she can be lot better than i excpected lol.

Selfless Squire: very funny protective card
Selfless Spirit and Vexilus preator: for protection and also creatures to trigger breena
Inkshield: Protective, broken but works for my defensive deck
Tainted Strike: win con in one turn and can also be put on an ennemy creature for politics to eliminate a threat at the table

Really cool video, this week. It was fun to watch you walk us through one of your personal favorite decks.
