More definition= more twist and smaller sections
Less definition= less twist bigger sections
    Got it 😀👌🏾

Your hair is so long and really gorgeous! You have helped me so much :) I dont have hair like yours but I work with children and we have one child who does. All of us are of Native American and Latino and we really had no idea how to care for her type of hair so I searched youtube and found you :) Me and my coworkers have used your videos almost like hair "classes" lol! You have really been a HUGE gift to us and to her!

clicked. I (both me and my natural friend) had assumed that i/we could not do it because the texture of my/our hair was slightly different and it just made me look like a frizz ball. But it was because i was flat twisting. People need to know that they can do this, it may just be a matter of stop thinking like a flat twist and separate the sections fully. Take the credit Whitney you invented a new way of twisting. Thanks Queen!

I love that little trick she did while twisting. I'm never doing a mini twist out again. The same definition in so much less time who would of ever thought. This is why I love her she has so many ingenious little tricks.

You, my friend, are a God send. So there I was, tired of looking ragedy after I work out with my straight hair. Then I see you with all these options that don't involve heat and I'm like 🙌😄. Thanks for being thorough and awesome cause I'm trying to figure this whole hair thing out. Woo!

Your hair is GORGEOUS. Thick, dark, and healthy. So beautiful.
I'm part African-American and have curly, thick, and kind of coarse hair. I cut it short a few years ago and while I love my hair's length, in the future, I'm thinking of letting it grow out...I'm subscribing to your channel and will try to pick up some tips for longer, natural hair. This was a great vid!

Hi Laurend1985. All black textured hair is absolutely beautiful. Get acquainted with your natural hair and respect the things it likes and the things it doesn't like. Its uniquely yours and is waiting to meet you...lol. I'm 6 months post BC and I will never go back. Naps videos are a excellent resource for information. Your hair is beautiful. Know it. Believe it. Now walk in it.

      1. Every week to 2 weeks rotate protective styles and wearing it out
      2. Try to stretch out your wash days as much as possible
      3. Every night spritz your hair with a little bit of water and sleep with a shower cap to lock in moisture
      4. Get a trim as soon as you see thin ends/ you see single strand knots or split ends everywhere
      5. deep condition overnight
Literally this is everything i did... along with low manipulation which is hard for me because i love to touch and do my hair lol hope this helps because it sure helped me

How awesome r u. I've had long hair all my life. I've been natural since September 2009. I have about 3 more inches left of my relaxed hair that I've been afraid to cut. But watching your video has given me the courage to cut the rest so that I can do this style. Omg. I'm so excited. Thank you for the inspiration. Luv it!

I've been natural for two and a half years now, and it's only just recently since my cousin recommended your channel, that I've really learned to work with my hair and style it and not fear it. Thank you for making natural hair care so accessible and possible. I was literally lost before your channel and I've looked at what seems like a hundred different natural hair channels and websites. So exhausting and frustrating at times. So thank you for your videos!!

I am rocking the twists pinned up as a protective and instead of pinning up the first row closest to the hairline, I have left them in bantu knots so in the morning, to complete the style i just unravel the bantus to form 2 cute little ringlets either side of my face and a nice head scarf bow. Will take down for the intended style (best twist out) after a day or two!!! Many thanks for your inspiration!!

@@LudnieGilberteLeger look into the l.o.c method. It's where you put a thin layer of oil and then cream over wet hair from washing or from spraying with a liquidy leave-in conditioner. It helps keep the moisture locked in longer.

Naptural85 I just wanted to say thank you for this video! I have fine hair & two strand twist leaves my head looking scalpy. Regular braidouts (not your method) gave me better results. But this method in the video is AWESOME for my hair!! I want to try your braidout method but I'm not 100% comfy with the technique yet.

Laurend1985, I think that's the type of hair I have, and I chose to follow great advice over great appearances. Secondly, After being consistent with the advice, I got to "know" my hair so well... that I named my hair. My hair is like my new baby, and I'm loving the attention she requires. I love every single strand...... because its uniquely mine and its beautiful. I so encourage you to stay with the idea, until it becomes "your" reality (it has to be yours first). Good luck.

Let me first say that this method of twisting is just phenomenal. It creates a wonderful defined twistout. But you should not call it flat twisting. You have invented a new way to twist with this. I have ben coming back and forth to this video because i really wanted to do this method since you first introduced it but by calling it a flat twist could not get it. A flat twist has slightly connected sections. While your method emphasizes dividing the section. Once i realized that it finally
