- We have finally got our hands on this DeWalt Toughsystem 2.0 Battery Charging Box, and we knew instantly the ideal way we could upgrade it!
Jona quickly got to grips with the box, its uses and space, before whipping out the Shadow Foam and creating a custom insert to house and protect 12 batteries inside this small case! And whats better than that?
He walked us through the process of creating a new foam insert in-house, and we are now proud to announce that you can purchase this twin pack of foam right here: www.shadowfoam.com/product/to...

Great. Just picked up the DeWalt charging unit and bought the SF inserts a few weeks back. Now to the cutting out. SF's ordering process and fulfillment and shipping was excellent as I am based in Spain. Was pleased to see the fulfillment now takes place within the EU so no pesky customs declarations and charges. Thanks SF!😊
I do genuinely think that is absolutely brilliant. I’m in the process at this moment in time I’m actually buying the top box and charger for my Dewalt tools and to keep all the batteries in the bottom in one place is absolutely brilliant as well. Thank you for that. Many thanks, Brian.Roofing4you
It was nice to see what you did with my box good video
Thank you for loaning it to us Zac! Much appreciated mate!
This is great Only issue is mail costs I assume at least because I live in America so usually anything from Europe costs and arm and a leg to ship. But f it isn't that bad Ill be looking into getting a lot of them for my Dewalt tstak and ToughSystem 2 towers. Might even need some for the 1 craftsman versa whatever that works with the tstak stuff kinda... lol I just ordered the 20V of that charger in the video. Wish for the cost it was a bit bigger and maybe half be a storage area rather then wasting alot of space being 2 boxes. I ended up ordering the small toolbag for the other side lol. It felt naked. Glad I found you and look forward to doing some business hopefully.
Very nice 👍
Great job as usual
Thanks mate, appreciate the kind words! 👌
Great Job !!!
Thanks Charlie! DeWalt fan?
I am your fan and a fan of all tools 😁😁@@ShadowFoam
Does the foam affect the fan and air circulation when charging with the lid down?
Will it charge as fast as the yellow fast chargers
Wish I could buy the inserts with it already having the cutouts for the batteries cut out
there are companies out there that would do it for you 👌
I ordered shadow foam insert for the half tough system box and it arrived 1/2” too big all round. I may aswell bought a blank insert and cut it myself as I had to do that anyway.
Hi Alfie, that does sound peculiar as all of our inserts are machine cut to a specific size, could you drop my team an email at hello@shadowfoam.com please and we’ll sort this out
What about the 20v?
Are you ever going to do inserts for the Veto, Velocity or Toughbuilt tote bags or back packs?
When I get my hands on a set sure 👌
When you're double stacking the foam like that. you should face the black away from each other. unless they're separating layers
It's more rigid to do it the way we did it in the video though, allows it to glue better too!
@@ShadowFoam cadre I did notice some of the earlier videos you do
@@ShadowFoamso the black layer is more rigid
Do you make teal to fit milwaukee packout cases?
We do indeed Tom, check it out on our website - www.shadowfoam.com
Are you going to sell them pre-cut on your website?
We already do! shadowfoam.com/products/toughsystem-2-0-charger-box-foam-inserts
Can you create a foam for the dewalt t stak open tote please
When we get our hands on one 👍
@@ShadowFoam I have one can I send it to you 💪🏼
@@dantreviss8324 drop my team an email at m.wood@shadowfoam.com and we’ll sort this out
@@ShadowFoam email sent, no reply as yet
You could have put more batteries in there lay them flat on one foam and stack them on top of each other
Didn’t want them hanging in to each other though mate
I was very disappointed with this charger box. I'm a Makita man for handheld power tools as I have 30 batteries and over 20 tools, but I needed a cordless table saw, extractor and mitre saw. Dewalt came out on top for me so now I have 5 9ah flex volt batteries and 2 12ah flex volt batteries. unfortunately with the size of them I could not figure out how to get them in shadow foam inside this box. so now they rattle about and I it makes me sad
Sorry to hear that mate! Would definitely take some jiggery pokery to get a good layout, have you considered cutting them in standing up like we did in our video?
for the price of that battery box dewald should add that foam to the box
It would definitely be more useful! 👍
The new tough system 2.0 light
Not seen one of those, what do you think?
Milwaukee equivalent???
We haven’t made one yet, but can certainly add it to my list!
Wow pricey for a bit of foam I can get from china for a fraction of the price
while it looks nice a lot more batteries would fit in there with out it
