I’ve always skimmed past them before when I’ve seen them in B&Q, perhaps they’re worth further consideration. 2/3 years ago I found a Homebase own brand flathead driver, probably about 10mm. I used it for something ( chisel, podger or the like ) at the time to protect my expensive Klein driver. Afterwards I found a vertical slot on the outside of my tool bag and mindlessly put it in. I’m a self confessed tool snob, but damn, that driver is by far my most used tool………………. 😂😂😂
2:25 I have this spanner but it is made by crescent tools and you can get a socket adapter for 1/4 " screwdriver bits and 1/4" & 3/8 socket adapter. Did try and upload a Picture( but the app doesn't support it ) and the guy at work gave me the different adapters from another make, oh maybe that was Sata tools
Hi, I have to say that the margin marker is my favourite tool. It maybe a simple thing, but it is amazing how many people notice the exacting margins I have around my door frames, and this will make my life easier having this, amongst all the other freebies.
I bought an autoloader from Festool in 2009 and it still works fine. There is a text on the handle "MADE IN CANADA - U.S. AND FOREIGN PATENTS PENDING." I have one for Torx bits and one for Hex bits, very handy. Next time I'd like to go to the Eissenwarenmesser, didn't know it existed ...
yes, it's been out a while. I've had one like 15 years or so. Everyone loves to "borrow" it and I have to go find it. Bought a second one to hide so I didn't have to waste time finding the first one all the time! hehe... but it is handy, you don't lose the bits, and you can pull them out to swap a different one into the rotation. 8^)
I can just imagine Dave the bricklayer rocking up on site with his custom engraved £540 Towel, soon lost for ever in the site skip whilst he takes his morning dump in the portaloo
I really like the Tough Built line so far. They seem to keep coming up with new ways to make tools more functional at a reasonable price point. Love the Shadow Foam too!!
I got one of these 4 years ago at the Sandown park show. It doesn't get used very often but useful putting up shelves, mirrors and pictures if I don't have a long level to hand.
Respect for the way your were so friendly and polite even after seeing so many different salesman and not getting snippy or rude despite I suspect getting quite tired.
SATA Tools are a secret gem of the tool world. I do precision machining of arms and tools of the trade for some American agencies and use SATA quite often for assembly. Solid tools. This is the first episode I’ve seen of your show. I like it. A new subscriber and looking forwards to future content.
The thing I really liked about the BMI booth is while theyre trying some new stuff.. trying to innovate.. theyre also doing traditional things which I think is cool. And while not every idea is a good idea you still learn something.
That little foam chat at 12:48 was really interesting. I was never sure of the differences between your product and everything else, but your explanation was very insightful.
Hi James, I am very glad to hear you say that! I don;t usually bring it up in the videos often because I know not everyone is as interested in foam as I am but I am glad it has resonated with you mate!
@@ShadowFoam brother I'm from India im not able to get hands on any of the tools bro maybe you start to sell them here too if we wanna import the shipping cost is more than the actual product cost..

Quirky Tools: I recently bought a vintage push screw driver. It's basically a manual power screw driver that does not spark. I was excited about it. As soon as it came in my 12 year old daughter snagged it for her own tool box. Now I need to find another vintage one.
It's 11:00 pm (in Australia) and I've discovered this channel. What a tool fair! Some obscure brands I've never heard of that are really the best of the best tools. Tomorrow's going to be a long day watching your videos.
I was selling the Autoloader probably 12 maybe 15 years ago, they were supplied by Festool when I was a Festool reseller here in the UK. A great product, they are so good that my daughter and my wife each have their own one in their tool kits. Remember the ladies in your life need a tool kit! Trade shows like the one in Germany are hard work, yes they can be enjoyable. The hardest show I ever did, working the booth and also going around the halls was the AAW Show in Atlanta Georgia in 2010, which was a four-day show. With the big shows you need at least two days to go around and then a third day to revisit the important booths if you need to tie down business. For me, the SATA wrench with socket set made a lot of sense but my daughter would go for the Lego set.😊
Next year you could have a shadow foam road trip and get supports in show reviews, Being a successful company adding unique useful tools sounds a match in heaven 😀 😊
Watching these videos is basically a gateway drug for buying more tools. Just ordered the SATA spanner. I have used shadow foam on loads of my tools. Hopefully they do kits for Peli cases in the near future.
The OX foldable ruler design, was originally made of wood and brass and was the British joiners standard ruler before the tape measure and was a very versatile measuring rule.

Hello there, the tool that interests me the most from this segment would have to be the SATA Universal Driver set, especially the fact that they have the pass through feature on the sockets. That auto-loader scew driver from Canada was really interesting, given you can change the bits loaded in the "magazine" probably really useful too. They obviously deserve more commercial success and recognition, I've never seen them before and they've been on the market for so many years.
Passthrough sockets are such a good and simple idea. All sockets and ratchets should be designed that way. No more issues with sockets that are too short.
Pass throughs are less practical in reality though. Difficult to extend, bulkier and cumbersome, and limited socket choice. They really aren’t as great at they seem when out into practical applications.
Sata socket multi tool is already unavailable with no expected restock on Amazon, definitely my favourite of the video. The easy grip looks like a great innovation too.

I wonder if it has a chart inside or inside the lid/flap that indicates what things might have what angles.. or do you just line the edge up with each and find a match? Nice to have choices to get the proper angle!
At a local supplier for building materials here in Germany, I found what they called a "Kraftspaten" lit.: force spade. Costs about 150€ but that thing is an all-metal beast. The blade alone is something you'd find on a guillotine. You'd need some umph to use it. And steel tipped boots. But if you ever had a spade break or bent when you gave it a bit of a wellie, as I have, this one won't. As the guy in the shop said, it's pricey, but you'll never have to buy another spade. Or guillotine.
I've always loved a clever mechanism or a bit of innovation but I realised, watching you talk about the 35mm depth of cut for the tape measure, that a scalpel with a ruler printed on could be a great bit of useful innovation for your cut kits
SATA is a well-known brand in Asia, especially in China. They offer upper-middle-quality tools with thoughtful designs at a lower-middle price range, making them a great bargain if you need a large set on a limited budget.
I would be interested in both seeing more booths in the show next year and would buy the tools if you brought a couple over. Keep it up, another great vid 👍
Love the post mate, I normally won’t watch an hour long video but you proved me wrong. Absolutely loved it and didn’t want it to end. Thanks for all your passion. SATA is a well-known brand in Asia, especially in China. They offer upper-middle-quality tools with thoughtful designs at a lower-middle price range, making them a great bargain if you need a large set on a limited budget.
Wow. Great to see all the different tools. Going to get me that Sata set. Looks great!
that super compact tape measure looks awesome!
crazy how tight it must be wound
The Auto loader and the Sata set are my favourites, both clever space saving designs!
The sata kit is cool, looks like it has a place in a small effective tool kit. Love the tough built stuff too, I didn’t realise b&q stocked it
The skil screwdriver is cool, what a handy little idea have the volt stick on it.
Those SATA and BMI are amazing. If i didn't come across your channel i wouldn't know they existed. Cheers
I would be interested in both seeing more booths in the show next year and would buy the tools if you brought a couple over.
Keep it up, another great vid 👍
The Dewalt booth speaks volumes about that company ;)

Hammerstroke seems so cool with the whole tradesman ideas to market idea.
The autoloader screwdriver was an awesome tool. Would be amazing to have something like this at work
Those SATA Lego plyers are AWESOME!!!
Love the post mate, I normally won’t watch an hour long video but you proved me wrong. Absolutely loved it and didn’t want it to end. Thanks for all your passion. Ps Them Sata sockets look Unbelievable for the price, i can’t comprehend how they can actually make a profit on them for less than £30 …….Keep it up Fella.👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️

I really like the Sata Universal Driver! So compact for covering so many sizes!
really like the easy grip plyers that could come in handy when moving from different types of irrigation pipe clamps.
