This is a review of the new DeWalt ToughSystem 2.0 battery charging box, case, toolbox... whatever! It's a DeWalt battery storage option that can charge 20V Max, Flexvolt 20V/60V, and even 60V batteries (60V batts will be slow though). While this case is the first portable tool box that has a dual port battery charger built in (charges both batteries at the same time), and has two USB ports (one USB-A inside and one USB-C on the outside), it isn't that great. Before taking the plunge, I watched my usual popular tool folks' reviews here on UA-cam, but now that I have it, I don't share their over-the-top enthusiasm. Don't get me wrong, it has some nice features, but I've gotten so used to throwing my batteries and charges in with my tools that I don't see a tremendous upside other than keeping my batteries organized in one place. It makes more sense to buy an empty Dewalt ToughSystem tool box and attach a pair of chargers inside the lid so as to make a similar charger box for a fraction of the price. Seriously what they made should have been marketed around the $60 price point for what you get.

Thanks for the review. I probably would have grabbed this if it charged dewalt 12v batteries too. As things stand though, I'll probably use the two DCB1104 chargers I have and install them in a similar box. I know there's plenty of diy "battery boxes" guys have put together with spare chargers, so it's just a matter of getting my own design together and making it happen.

As you pointed out, there are lots of great mods online for the TS boxes. The half box design of this 20V box still annoys me. 🤣

Is each charger 4amps or 2 amps?

I believe each charger is 4 Amps.
