That said, I couldn’t help but find it a tad jarring how Mike’s musical numbers here feature him played by a kid only for him to be played by an adult in every other scene. I know this is combining footage from the UK show with the Broadway version, but still.
Yeah I know it's a tad jarring I just don't like the song what could possibly go wrong. I thought it was boring. And for vidiots the only reason it is the UK version is for some reason the American vidiots song did not match to the recording at all so I had to use the UK version again hahaha. But thanks yeah I worked very hard on this and I'm glad you enjoyed it

I love this musical so much. I just performed in it a week ago at my school and it was amazing…even tho I was an Oompa Loompa since I was just a chorus member hahaha. Watching this back definitely brings back lots of memories. Each and every actor was amazing, seeing this makes me realise just how good some of the actors at my school were. Each character was played perfectly 👏

Honestly I just finished the whole video and god it was terrifying to watch the kids die for once I felt bad for the parents and it was depressing that the August’s final words were I love you mama 😢. It feels like this version is not made for children and give the adults who grew up with Gene wilders to see what happened after we saw Charlie win.

I like that this has Juicy as I thought it was weird that they replaced it completely with the story of how Willy Wonka met the Oompa Loompas. I wish they would have kept Juicy as I thought it worked better with that in the production. I think this is missing Mrs. Bucket's song "If Your Father Were Here" but this is still amazing!!! (and I understand if you didn't have that in HQ audio)
I actually have both juicy and the song that replaced it I think it works well merged like that. And you're right I left out that song. But it's honestly because I didn't like it. I wasn't originally going to post this to UA-cam then I decided to do it and I wasn't going to add that part back. And thanks for the compliment though

How old is Willy Wonka supposed to be? If Grandpa Joe worked for him 45 years ago and lets say Willy Wonka was even 25 years old, then Willy Wonka must be at least 70 years old. Why is Willy Wonka always cast as a young man? He must be almost as old as Grandpa Joe. Also if Willy Wonka is elderly that would explain his motivation to find someone to carry on his legacy.

I actually love Augustus’ character in this. The only time I was disgusted with him (as I should have been) was when he burped into the microphone before entering the factory. Other than that, he’s really fun to watch and has one of the best songs in the show.
My school is doing this as a musical next year, auditions are in a few weeks, I'm going for verruca salt(I have a loud voice, and I can belt that again, She has my vocal chords) or Mike's mother(Similar voice range, you know) any song requests for auditions would be great!!
Yes, they ran with the whole “Willy wonka is a murderous mad scientist” thing. Augustus drowns in the pipe, Violet explodes into a pile of blueberry gore and Veruca is dismembered by squirrels. Mike is still shrunken… but his mom prefers him that way.

I love the Races of this version!!! Russian Veruca is the best and I love the Sassy black Violet (Edit) I also think that it’s awesome that they Mixed the 70’s Movie with the 2005 movie and added their own stuff too!

I know this is a rondom comment but i did find the mike teevee interview vidiots and the exit of agustus gloop song and all of them were broadway but i get it that these are just videos put together like the west end vidiots are used and teevee interview and all

I went to see this musical with my grandparents and at the end Wonka can up to our booth and the whole audience looked at us, It was amazing!

It broke my heart when Veruca screams for her dad twice and both times, when he responds, you can HEAR the despair in his voice.
In the original book the kids walked out okay, just severely deformed. Idk wtf they were doing here.

Broadway version just doesn't quite do it for me. Gige me west end Douglas Hodge any day. Broadway makes some weird choices. Like the whole opening.
Agreed. The original west end production just made way more sense.
I actually love Augustus’ character in this. The only time I was disgusted with him (as I should have been) was when he burped into the microphone before entering the factory. Other than that, he’s really fun to watch and has one of the best songs in the show.

Yes, they ran with the whole “Willy wonka is a murderous mad scientist” thing. Augustus drowns in the pipe, Violet explodes into a pile of blueberry gore and Veruca is dismembered by squirrels. Mike is still shrunken… but his mom prefers him that way.

I'm not too sure. And it's been up for a while now with no issues. It had a copyright notice from day 1 so I doubt something will randomly happen to it. But I understand the concern. Unfortunately it's several several gigs which is why I'm not sure how to upload it somewhere

@@MichaelYoder-e8g because people stood in front of the camera or started coughing or something so I switch productions for that or sometimes to allow for parts I found a little better or in higher quality in a different recording
