Not sure if it’s because the mid electric is low with the LEDs, but that’s something I noticed

OMG I LOVE the lady who played Mother Gothel!! She seriously had the character downnn like it was perfect😍😍 And her singing was so good as well! Everyone's signing was great tbf, and the lighting and sound....wow🥰🥰
Theatrical and Musical performances are actually not as easy as other folks think. That's why seeing this was just absolutely heart captivating. The actors and actresses had suited the characters very well, their voices was just totally awesome! The added songs were incredible. The cinematography and all were very satisfying! I just do have so much appreciation for performances like this. Though I've watched the movie multiple of times already but still I enjoyed it really, I was just so amazed to see it performed by an actual people. Thank you for that!❤️
The ending of Tangled always makes me cry, but the magic of the live stage show had me emotional and crying throughout the entire production. Thank you so much for sharing.
Raphael Insigne we ate hamburgers and French fries by the pool instead of dinner in the Main Dining Room 😁 and on a Disney Cruise room service is free (and delicious) so there’s always that option.
She implies that Rapunzel's actions forced her do that, it's guilt tripping. As someone who has been emotionally abused, that scene felt incredibly familiar :/
Singing Rapunzel's "I Want" song in this production must have been absolutely incredibly diffucult... It's already quite a hard song to sing on its own but I couldn't imagine having to do it while skipping around a stage and still having the breath to finish it
I only watched five minutes of this so far, but I'm so impressed how they translated some of the scenes onto a stage. And the actors do such a tremendous job of embodying the characters. Mother Gothel moves just like she does in the movie
I get that they had to cut it down from the movie and so it's kind of rushed, but I just can't get over how this Rapunzel and Flynn/Eugene have no chemistry at all. I'm not the only one who thinks so, right?
I’m honestly not sure. It almost seems like Flynn is younger than Rapunzel when in the movie he’s meant to be 26 and she’s 18 (a little disturbing but it’s legal I guess? XD) in the movie, they’re a really cute couple who seem to have a lot of chemistry, meanwhile here, he seems like her best friend. It’s still amazing. though!
I didn’t feel that little tingle inside when I see Eugene and rapunzel, and they did a mistake, after Flynn revealed his real name was Eugene, rapunzel kept calling him Flynn! Big mistake people!
Mother Gothel is amazing in singing and in performing, Rapunzel is sweet, Flynn even tho he is a bit different type than intended is great too, music, puppetry, dancing, choreography, I loved it, it mashed up together everything important and nice in the story :-)
It's my favourite of the fleet! Beauty and the Beast is a close second! Frozen was good but Aladdin was do severely truncated that it is my least favourite of the four Broadway-style shows onboard.
@@cassandra3100 The onboard production of Beauty and the Beast was wonderful too. Even though the backdrop sets were video screens, they were fantastic and helped make it an excellent show! I saw the original Disney BatB musical on Broadway and West End too and still enjoyed the abridged onboard version. But there's something about the Tangled love story that I adore and makes it my favourite! "You were my dream…"
All things considered - pretty fascinating what you can do on a ship :) Although of course you've also gotta consider you have to find a cast willing to be out at sea for weeks before getting to return home. (so kudos to these dedicated artisans who give it their all for the paying guest.
I’ve been really interested in acting on Disney cruises since it’s definitely more achievable than broadway and better than being a Disneyland character, but man it seems hard. The amount of shows you have to learn and multiple performances a day on a moving ship on top of barely any time of - it’s certainly not an easy feat
love it saw it once saw it twice saw it a third time it is now on loop everything is amazing about this; the singers, dancers, songs, costumes, Rapunzel's hair and the lighting
Disney. Why have you been promoting this video everywhere?. But you never promote Tangled The Series?. You didn't even promote that fact that it won 3 Emmys last week!. And it gave Alan Menken the EGOT title!. I really don't understand what you've got against this amazing TV show. There were tons of amazing and dedicated artists and performers that worked hard on this show!, But you just push it to the side all the time!. You don't give it any respect. And that's just wrong.
The song flower of gold gives me chills it’s my favorite song out of the new ones and if Disney ever decides to put tangled on Broadway they should keep that as their opening number it is so good
i just love the festival scene.. i feel like there are other characters from other movies, the one in red looks like Gaston, the one carrying the basket feels like Belle, and there goes the baker his tray like always, there's Tiana, and of course little Anna..i don't know if this is intentional or they just look like other characters tho.. but i just love it so much!
I love this show. Tangled is one of my favorite Disney movies of all time. The cast was super talented, the music was great, the costumes, set, and props were amazing, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. So glad I watched this. P.S. Be honest because I can't be the only one: Who else cried during Flower Of Gold when the queen ran to Rapunzel's crib, saw she was gone, held her blanket to her heart, fell to the floor, started crying, and yelling "My baby!"? I can't even imagine how the king and queen must have felt.
Guys Disney’s done it again, they’ve snuck in little easter eggs from other movies!!! At 40:55 I saw Gaston and at 59:11 I saw Anna from Frozen!!!! Comment if you’ve noticed anyone else!!
Jeremy Jordan actually played Varian in Tangled the Series. You should definitely watch it if you haven't cause he slays every song he sings in the series.
As a theatre tech person, I love this!!! All of the special effects in the tower (falling book, painting canvas, light up suns) plus all the uses for the scrim were *chefs kiss*
This is really good! I wish they had cut down some of the dance scenes so it'd all feel less rushed, but considering what they had to work with, it's well done. Especially the costume and set designs; absolutely stunning! And the chemistry between Rupunzel and Flynn was really good. Big props to the crew and the cast; I'd love to see what they could do with a longer run time and a larger ensemble. Also: Did anyone else notice Anna and Gaston at the palace square?

I'm amazed how the hair is a prop, part of the costume and part of the set design 😂
48:46 I wasn't expecting that kiss, I thought it would be interrupted like in the movie. I literally screamed 😭😭🤍 So cute!

OMG THE KING KISSES HIM THATS SO CUTE
I'm CRYING
I swear this musical deserves to be on broadway.
All Disney cruise shows do
Alan Menken alluded to the fact that it will probably come to Broadway in the future on Twitter
Tangled really deserves so much more. It's one of the best modern Disney films
I can't agree with You all more
The fact that in the beginning they didn’t say it was from corona omg I’m sobbing
This was recorded way before the crona arrived!!!

Thank you for that!❤️
Mother Gothel and Rapunzel are perfect casting, but their Flynn leaves a lot to be desired.
We saw this twice in 2018, and hmm, yes, there was a different Flynn.
My thoughts exactly!

Ik the woman who plays rapunzel she’s my drama teacher!
The ending of Tangled always makes me cry, but the magic of the live stage show had me emotional and crying throughout the entire production. Thank you so much for sharing.
We skipped dinner one night on our cruise so that we could see this twice in a row. It’s just so amazing!!! Next up - Twice Charmed!!! 🤞🤞🤞❤️❤️❤️
Omg tbh that's something I would do but then how would you eat??
Raphael Insigne we ate hamburgers and French fries by the pool instead of dinner in the Main Dining Room 😁 and on a Disney Cruise room service is free (and delicious) so there’s always that option.

This Gothel is simply magnific, I'm stunned, amazing perfomance!
Whoa, the hair looks like it's made of fabric with lights throughout it! So creative and much lighter and cheaper than synthetic hair, I'll bet.
I believe that synthetic hair is also in it as I've heard it weighed about 30 some pounds (it might not be true but that's what heard)
The woman playing Mother Gothel is absolutely insane she’s incredible

Can we get this for the actual Broadway productions that AREN’T Newsies?
Rumors are that Aladdin the musical is coming to Disney+ before the end of the year.
It's SylveonYT! The West End production, with some international cast members.
I got to say that newsies was amazing too though
I'd love the lion king musical to be on Disney plus, better than the live action movie by a long shot
@@hannahvasby-burnie2477 I've wanted to see that musical my whole life, I hope they do it!

Mother: rApUnZeL LoOK wHAt yOu'VE dOnE!!!!!!
No is it
She implies that Rapunzel's actions forced her do that, it's guilt tripping.
You’re not alone. I feel that way, too
I’m honestly not sure. It’s still amazing. though!
it was uncomfortable to watch it felt like they were brother and sister
Autumn Ochs I agree, or even mother and son which makes it a lot worse...
I didn’t feel that little tingle inside when I see Eugene and rapunzel, and they did a mistake, after Flynn revealed his real name was Eugene, rapunzel kept calling him Flynn! Big mistake people!
The Snuggly Duckling scene is what I look forward to see. Everyone is superb. Awesome production ❤
they are amazing! they all are extremely talented!!! and that Repunzel lady portrayed the character just perfectly. Thumbs up to y'all
My stupid self just realized Rapunzel has been locked up in a tower her whole life yet she knows how to swim better that me
Mother Gothel is amazing in singing and in performing, Rapunzel is sweet, Flynn even tho he is a bit different type than intended is great too, music, puppetry, dancing, choreography, I loved it, it mashed up together everything important and nice in the story :-)
I really love how they used Claire Keane’s original design for Rapunzel for the musical, she looks super beautiful
Every show iv seen on the disney cruise has always been so good. But this was above and beyond. Loved it
It's my favourite of the fleet! Beauty and the Beast is a close second! Frozen was good but Aladdin was do severely truncated that it is my least favourite of the four Broadway-style shows onboard.
@@denizalgazi omg beauty and the beast had me in tears. Loved that one too
@@cassandra3100 The onboard production of Beauty and the Beast was wonderful too.
The Flynn song is mediocre and out of character. He’s not Gaston, we don’t need a singing choir of fan girls.
logicandcrazy ahhh I thought it was just me! The character felt unrecognizable to me
I agree
Omg I died when they really just added the silly girls to the show
Honestly, he wasn't very good for the part. His delivery was all wrong. Mother Gothel is great
dreamincolor14 completely agree, he was not right for the part or a strong enough singer
Amazing. Should be on Broadway! Rapunzel and Gothel were near perfection. The set was stunning. And love the new songs!
The amount of shows you have to learn and multiple performances a day on a moving ship on top of barely any time of - it’s certainly not an easy feat
i never realised i had the entire movie memorized until watching this and noticing every little line cut out
which is fine its a musical its just funny how much ik the movie

how the witch just change her voice is arghhhhh!!!! so coollll
are we not going to talk about how amazing the extras were? they had such beautiful voices. also, mother gothel's actress was spectatular.
I believe it’s because a majority of them play leads on the other spectacles the ship offers, so the cast’s all very qualified
The guy that's Flynn has an uncanny resemblance to my step-grandpa. I'm having a hard time taking Flynn seriously because of that.
Yes
I feel kinda bad because it isnt his fault he doesnt look like the character tho :(

Alan Menken 🤩🤩🤩🤩 one of my favorite Disney composers!!!
why does rapunzel have so much Vibraaaaaaaato?
It may be even called musical theatre styleeeeeeeeeeeeeee
(but tbh i did find it a little much for my taste)
Yeah but some of the long notes would of been nicer without the vibrato :/
I knowwww, it doesn’t suit her

The scene where Rapunzel realizes she is the lost princess was so clever. With the sun paijtings glowing from the paintingsm

I can't-
Plus, the fact that Disney Channel doesn't even air it anymore in favor of shows like Ravens Home. They only air it when there's an airing slot open.
Agree SO MUCH!
@@Kyoko1411 oh Hi! XD
Because TTS is a horrible series, screws up Rapunzel’s character, and never mind Chris being just an awful person in general?
@@juliana7720 So you didn't really watched the series, they developed her character in a way that a second movie never could.
Why is nobody talking about the kiss after At Last I See The Light? So beautiful!!
Because the I See The Light song is beautiful enough! My favourite of the show.

“I’ve seen it happen” and “you only have one hand” are the reason we love chorus members 💖
Guys Disney’s done it again, they’ve snuck in little easter eggs from other movies!!! At 40:55 I saw Gaston and at 59:11 I saw Anna from Frozen!!!! Comment if you’ve noticed anyone else!!

I can't stop thinking that Jeremy Jordan would be a perfect Flynn Rider! I mean....

I did
I love Rapunzel's little Gothel moments when interrogating Flynn, it somehow makes sense
The guy playing Flynn sounds like Varian in the tangled series, anyone else hear it?
yes!! I couldn’t stop thinking that xD

this is even more interesting than the movie!!! An extraordinary performance with 3 new songs by Disney's musical talents!
Love how the first song starts with explaining the real Flower of Gold, and ended up telling the audience that the Flower of Gold is Rapunzel.
This was beautiful. The lanterns scene will always hold a special place in my heart 💖☺️
