When I was a kid, sitting in class, I would look at a Bic pen and imagine it was a spacecraft like the Discovery One from 2001: A Space Odyssey. The pen cap was the command deck.
for me it is another creative outlet to come up with story and allow me to use my limited doodling skills, mostly it gives me an opportunity to socialize, which i dont normally do other than teaching karate. TTRPGing give me an outlet that real life doesnt.
Very inspiring! It's been great being there for this ride of your UA-cam journey as well. It's interesting to hear the similarities and differences in preference. For example for me the computer related stuff is a hurdle. I enjoy worldographer and I mostly use the notepad on my phone for my houserules and game planning, that's about it. On the other hand I've come to realize I most enjoy letting my players loose in a world I've prepped to whatever extent. I've also been known to nerd about worlds like Forgotten Realms, game systems and rpg books in general. May GMuary inspire new GMs to pop up like shrooms when it rains (a Finnish phrase). 😁
Thank you! It’s been wonderful having you on this ride, you’re a real encouragement. And I’d probably be using my phone notes app right with you, if I could type faster on it. Alas…nope.
@DMTalesTTRPG Thank you! Happy to hear that :) I'm not particularly fast with the notepad app either. It's just the simplest thing always at hand. I guess it also helps keep my notes concise.

Oh, me to! And the metal removable pen clips? They’re destroyers. Also, I still do this.

Wanted to jump back in for a while, but no time. All of the sudden…time.
Free advice for you; for your next sermon you could incorporate some of your DM ideas into it.
I mean, when I mention the meaning of life I always put up 42, so the chances of this already happening are pretty high.
@ lol.

I have almost no interest in being a player now.
It is addictive.
