No offence and with all due respect Craig. But there are general points that you have to accept from others' point of view. Here we go: 1-When a product is hyped so much. There will still be some people that like it and some that won't. The people who didn't like it will be specifically negative and unhappy because of their disappointment which is caused by high expectation they had due to the hyping of the product. All in all, hyped product will give you sales. But where it misfires is when some people inevitablely don't like the product. Your payback in reviews is worse. Accept it. 2- When you say products like Lux and procaps are super. Then a consumers looks up other reviews like ones in penguin. It's not hard to think you might be biased. We don't believe you 100% or at least we don't tend to take that opinion. It isn't that your reviews are dishonest. But we as consumers of magic are not stupid. Please respect us. We read and understand other reviews and decide what we need. We don't need to be told what to think of a review. 3-Unbiased reviewed dex and shared his experience. Why are you and Lloyd going back and forth? Let him say his say. Again we as consumers listen and understand. We all know that dex was hyped. His points in the original review seem valid and match negative reviews of dex elsewhere like the glue coming off... Etc. Accept that about a third of the people don't like Lloyd's hyped index after they bought it. Don't fight it. When I watched David's video with Don Wand. I was saying "talk is cheap" all the way through. UNTILL Don stood up and did his index. That looked superior to anything I have seen anyone do using dex including its creator. Will I be forced to think dex is the 'GOAT'? I shouldn't be. We shouldn't be. Create magic. And accept that people will always have different tastes and choices and sometimes they ll review the products. I hope you take no offence. Your efforts on this channel are greatly appreciated.
No offence taken though I am not sure you understand the point of this video. My point was to stop this bickering. Dex is not my product and I haven’t really defended it. I gave it a good review as I am genuinely using it all the time and it’s not come apart for me. But others have given it a good review as well My question was why was I even referenced in the latest video several times. Every UA-camr has done a video on this subject so why was I mentioned so many times in such a negative way. It made no sense especially when it’s not my product. You say I’m going back and forth. I never shines in with my opinion until after almost every magic UA-camr has made a video about the subject. That’s it. This video was made because for some reason my name got dragged into this again As for hype do you honestly think my products are hyped? I’ll give you Quantum Deck but look at my latest Murphys Release Cube 52. Nobody knew what it was until it appeared on dealers shelves. Again why am I being dragged into the hype debate? Can you think of one product I have released this year that was hyped? Again thanks for the comments. Hopefully you understand my clarifications
@@magic-tv The reason why your name was mentioned has to be addressed to the people who mentioned it. If you want my assumption, it was because you said you give dex 100% and because people know you are close friends with Lloyd. Some people might suspect an agenda because they know this. Smae with Lux. No. I don't think your products are hyped. I agree that Quantum was. But my point above was general and NOT about your products. I specifically made sure I say "when a product is hyped". I just wanted to clarify the phenomenon of the aftermath of a hyped product. In this case it's Dex which is not your product. I understand. But my point stands. The bickering won't stop if you or lloyd continued to make responses to bad reviews and videos about your products. Even if you feel the reviewer has an agenda against you. Trust me. Viewrs and consumers understand this and more importantly will still look at other reviews and decide for themselves. It's the nature of the beast. I own several badly reviewed products because I know they work for me even if other people don't like it.
I am thoroughly perplexed by some of the reasoning displayed in support of this madness. Anyone who watches his and Ryland's reviews knows that when Craig gives something a 100%, it simply means he uses it, performs with it, likes it, and it works for him. However, if Craig or Ryland were to assign it a "Google Oogle Percent" (if you don't know what I mean by this, then you clearly have not been paying attention to their magic reviews), then perhaps you might have a point. But the logic that repeatedly calling out Craig is justified does not hold up. Craig did not give DEX a gushing Google Oogle Percent, which means he utterly loves it. Although, to be perfectly honest, positive Google Oogle Percents and negative Google Oogle Percents may be limited to Ryland's ratings. For heaven's sake, can we please stop beating this dead horse? It's no longer productive; it's futile. That horse died when Lloyd provided complete transparency about DEX in his controversial response to Unbiased Magic Reviews. We all know what they are, and there is no point pivoting back and forth about who lied, who didn't, and going on about the emails again ad nauseam. These meandering comments are only muddling the genuine intent of Craig's plea for a peaceful and amicable resolution to all this nonsense. The sad part is that the majority of us don't care about what David or anyone else has to say about DEX. We have all seen it with our own eyes, know about its flaws, and quite frankly, we don't need David, Don, Craig, Lloyd, or anyone else to think for us. I don't know why it keeps getting shoved down our throats each time anyone addresses dehumanizing aspects of David's Unbiased Magic Reviews. That's what they are, plain as day, but his supporters keep dancing around it by continually hyping all the surrounding moot issues. All anyone who is paying attention cares about is the cessation of socially unacceptable behavior. Each and every one of us pleading for it wants to do so in friendship and mutual respect. But I personally am not going to put lipstick on a pig; I am going to call it honestly like it is.
It wasn’t fair that don wands index wasn’t accepted by Murphys and it was cause they were too focused on the hype of dex. It was by far better than dex. It’s a shame. The fact that it resets itself in the pocket
Murphys likely didn’t accept it because according to both Don Wand and David they have to blur out his hand going into his pocket during “performance” because it can be reverse engineered easily. That means it would be reverse engineered from a product trailer.
If you genuinely think that Don Wands' index was rejected solely because of DEX, it might be wise to steer clear of that prime real estate for sale in the Florida Everglades. Don's explanation had notable omissions, with several crucial factors left unaddressed. If DEX was indeed a drawback, it's highly unlikely that it was the sole determinant of Murphy Magic's decision. Lloyd, I believe, introduced his and Javier's unnamed index on June 16, 2022, and Don Wand was generating interest in his between August and September 2022. Was DEX even branded by Murphy in September 2022 when Don had it announced on the Magic Café that his index would not be released? There's a lot more to this than what has been shared publicly.
How can a company be expected to sell a product when the creator is too scared to fully demo it without blur? Can you imagine if they had to blur the product trailer because Don is scared of how easy it is to reverse engineer his index? That’s what David is saying in his comment section as to why the blur was added. Blur added due to fear of easy reverse engineering.
I don't know why youtube suggested this video to me, I thought I would give it a try, and it is a rant about how your life is so good that you don't do rants anymore. Ironic.
Personally I think both Lux and ProCaps are terrible, but that doesn't mean I think people that love them are liars (wrong yes, but liar no LOL), it's just horses for courses. And talking of horses, can we just bury this dead one now rather than continuing to beat the poor thing?
Craig, no offense man, but it’s hard to extend an olive branch when you actively promoted Lloyd’s 1hr blatant personal attack on David. Lol you literally posted the link for it everywhere…
That was not a personal attack. It’s one thing to review some thing and give constructive criticism and it’s another thing to be a condescending dickhead with an all knowing God complex. He needs to work on himself because his Sleight of Hand sucks and he has the driest most monotone voice while performing. He thinks he’s this hero when in reality he’s the problem. AND SHAME ON DON WAND.
If you’re gifted the product you’re biased it’s just a fact. When you buy the product yourself you’re not biased it’s that simple. Also you can’t be qualified to review a product unless you’ve tried it out in the real world to see the reactions it gets.
While it's true that a reviewer who receives a product for free might feel thankful or beholden to the company providing the product, potentially skewing their review in favor of it, this isn't the defining factor that separates a biased review from an unbiased one. Achieving a completely unbiased review is an enormous challenge, especially when human perspectives and experiences naturally introduce some degree of subjectivity. Nevertheless, reviewers can strive for objectivity and reduce biases by following specific best practices. These practices include transparency, consistency, rigorous research, avoiding broad generalizations, considering various perspectives, relying on evidence-supported claims, having extensive experience with the product, maintaining a balanced approach when assessing both positive and negative aspects, specifying the testing criteria, and, most importantly, keeping personal feelings and biases separate from the review process. The key is to evaluate a product based on its merits, not personal preferences. These are the primary criteria for moving closer to an unbiased review. However, unless each of these criteria is met, and the reviewer possesses divine objectivity, there will always be some degree of bias in every review, regardless of how the product was obtained. If anyone still believes otherwise, there is little room for doubt they have been influenced by misleading information.
I don’t disagree but the fact of the matter is that when your gifted the product are you seriously going to stand there and trash a product. It’s doubtful making you biased cause while you might not like and say you don’t like it your not telling the truth that you really wouldn’t reccomend it to someone. You’d have to have guts to do that when they gifted you there product
Everyone is biased and in no way or shape am I trying to say that someone is unbiased completely that impossible. However what I am trying to say is that there are certain things that make people less biased and more biased. If your reviewing a product and you have a bad history with its owner. Your biased to a certain extent it’s that simple. If your gifted a product your biased it’s that simple now I’m not saying you can’t be honest and give a review of course you can but magicorthodoxy reviews aren’t reviews. He’s been gifted those products and make no mistake his reviews are simply ads for the company. It’s just the truth accept it or not. Some people may like what he does but he’s pretty much an unboxer for magic companies and most certainly not a reviewer by any extent
Oddly enough, when I was writing my initial response, David at Magic Orthodoxy came to mind. He doesn't make self-righteous claims about himself; he simply loves magic, enjoys doing giveaways, and makes an effort to ensure that magic doesn't end up collecting dust in drawers. Ironically, the majority of my magic purchases over the years have been influenced by David at Magic Orthodoxy. I trust him; he's genuinely good people, and that means a lot to me. This will be the third time I have mentioned this here. If an AGT, FU, and FISM winner can win all these competitions with props and gimmicks that magic reviewers would consider absolute worthless crap, what does that say about all this nonsense? Unfortunately, the points we are sharing are digressions from the real topic of discussion. It's not about biased or unbiased magic reviews, positive or negative ones, or even conflicting opinions. It's about addressing harmful and unacceptable social behavior. I'm not fooling myself, though. I don't foresee things getting better. If the only way to avoid it is to stop participating in social media, that's what I'm going to do.
I like David and his honest reviews. It's his opinion on hyped products that are your concern. If your going to hype your product just make sure your telling the truth and 100% with your videos. Don't think there's a problem if creators are honest
I know people hate negative review but David's review is important since he give comparison and tell the cons of a product. It is essential to magic buyer. the market is full of hype. we need balance of opinions.
It screamed personal beef, which made it anything but unbiased. You can get away with saying anything as long as you present it well. This wasn't the case here...
No side is clearly in the right here, but one side is overwhelmingly in the wrong. I'm not taking Lloyd's side, and I acknowledge that there have been mistakes made and pointed out by other reviewers who have treated Lloyd fairly and with respect. However, to take a fault and elevate it to a conspiracy to defraud is indicative of sociopathic malignant narcissism. What makes it even worse is that David's intention is often grounded in empirical truth, and I do believe he means well and does so without malice, but that doesn't make it an acceptable behavior. This ongoing situation has persisted for several weeks now, and anyone who is genuinely paying attention to what has occurred, beyond their knee-jerk reactions and affirmation of their sedimentary point of view, will see that this is not about who is telling the truth, who has lied, or lied through omission, or who deserves what because nobody is beyond reproach. It's about addressing socially unacceptable behavior that is infecting social media and our society as a whole. If this behavior were to occur in a professional environment rather than on social media, human resources would intervene, the content would be removed, and the behavior would be modified, or that person would become unemployed. Essentially, this is what many of us are advocating for here. We are simply asking David to modify his behavior, nothing more. Social media is also a platform that professional organizations use to research an individual's character. How long can these types of behaviors persist online before a person's professionalism is brought into question? The harm may already be done, but I hope not, because I would genuinely like to see the tide turn and the waters calm. It's time to put the blame game and conspiracy theories to rest and get real, to bury these hatchets, and strive to minimize unhealthy behaviors.
@RDGTEX Sadly, NPD is hard to treat and David would first need to understand that he has a problem, which is unlikely. But, I agree, we should put this to rest now.
Opinions and takes should be respected and not taken personally. My opinion is that Lloyd should have left it alone and not make that video. It added gasoline to the fire. The fact that creators get wound up over an opinion about their product is immature. Being mature in this case would be to leave this alone once and for all and move on, take the opinion for what it is and become better at your craft. Again, this is just my view on all this. Take it or leave it
I enjoy your channel as well as David’s. You both bring immense value to the magic community and have both helped me. I hope that all of you can now move on. There’s a lot of human suffering going on in the Middle East and in the Ukraine, to just name two places. I turn to magic for escape and to bring a bit of joy to others. I know that I can unsubscribe if this kind of bickering continues, but I feel like I would miss out on the great stuff you all put out. Peace.
This whole thing doesn't feel fair to David. I dig his channel and appreciate his reviews, I've gotten a lot of good things out of it. To be completely forthright, I enjoy your channel even more. But to me Dex seemed overhyped, and most of the critiques in David's review seem to hold some water. We should also respect his take on what constitutes "unbiased" - there are many factors here and this is a complex question, but I know to expect that on this channel, your own products will often take the #1 spot on any list, and Lloyd's products will likely receive positive reviews. I also understand that you genuinely like Dex. In the end, it just doesn't feel right for major creators to weaponize their followings against David, and these concerns might be better handled with some thoughtful one-on-one communication.
Unbiased Magic Reviews has been progressively inching itself into red meat territory and becoming more of a circus. It's still far from the Morton Downey Jr. or Jerry Springer show of magic. If he continues down this path, it might prove to be the greatest marketing strategy of all time, or it could lead to his downfall and permanently damage his credibility. I, like Craig and many others, do not dislike David, and I have learned a lot from him. But when his tone shifts from mentor to passive-aggressive sociopathic narcissist, he loses all credibility. After witnessing it one too many times, I had to unsubscribe. These pleas coming from respected magic influencers and the majority of us who subscribe to these channels should be speaking volumes to David, begging him to alter his behavior. However, these pleas are quickly fading into the ether, and if they go unheeded, there is probably not going to be another olive branch. I have had to deal with it in far too many personal and professional relationships. I have witnessed how it affects other interpersonal relationships, pitting both ends against the middle, and have felt the emotional struggle of being marginalized and denigrated by it. As far as I am concerned, it stops here, and it goes no further. Being as outspoken as I have been over the past couple of weeks, I don't expect David to ever forgive me. But the truth is that people who honestly care will say the things that need to be said and heard, and not enable him with compliments and support when doing so would do more harm than good.
I really enjoy your channel, and David's. Both of you are a wealth of information. I do like that David offers alternative tricks for people's consideration. While creators might not like negative reviews (naturally), it is what is. Too many times I see glowing reviews for products, that turn out to be...iffy. Really enjoy tricking being given scores (70/100 or 2.7/5) like both of you. Ironically, I think all the controversy has actually helped the sales of DEX.
How is it that so many people are completely missing the point? This is not, has not been, and will not be about anyone's opinion. How could anyone, at this point, be so completely oblivious to the reasons why so many respected and popular UA-cam influencers are begging David to simply change his behavior? This stopped being about opinions a long time ago. One would hope by now everyone would see the forest in spite of the trees.
@@RDGTEXyou obviously have no idea what’s going on. Lloyd Barnes put out a complete personal hit piece after David gave DEX a well deserved negative review. People have a right to have an opinion without being attacked!
Not my products so how have I over hyped them. That’s like having a go at a movie reviewer for the hype a movie has had because they like the film they have reviewed and given it a positive review Honestly do you even think?
Yeah. I also read your comment on the unbiased video saying I give positive reviews to terrible products. So I guessed that when you are talking about over hyping you are talking about my reviews as well as you are slagging me off on other people’s channel So yeah, I can read and comprehend. Thanks for asking
Sometimes the hype machine needs bringing down a notch, and negative reviews are good if they are honest. This particularly "unbiased review" always felt more like a personal attack.
if a review makes you guys attacking him "personally" that means either you are guys are not honest and got exposed or you guys are not mature enough to listen to a negative review. Jesus man how many more comments or videos you are going to make because he gave you a negative review? Professional people no offense when they crticitze or review a product they don't go beyond "the product"..I mean this what professionals do *clearing throat *
How have I attacked him? Have you even watched this video? And how was I involved with any video that attacks him Again have you even watched this video? What part of it would be considered ‘attacking’ please elaborate
He winds Craig up, and then he or someone else goes around collecting comments made in the aftermath. He then repeatedly goes back to the well for Red and Crystallize so he is armed and ready with his rebuttal to demonstrate that Craig cannot be trusted. What he fails to comprehend is that most dedicated magicians conduct their research and are well-informed about Craig's history and background, as well as the history and background of Red and Crystallize. It's an affront to all of us that David believes we can be manipulated by this heavily biased, factually omissive content. Regrettably, he has formed a brigade of loud and vocal followers who buy into his nonsense. It's time for Craig and other influencers and creators to resolve this; place their trust in the maturity and wisdom of their core audience.
I hope David or Don do not do a video with you just because it could make all of you into a cosy club who are afraid to give an honest opinion.I feel a lot of your reviews Craig are about 'shifting units' or selling more toys so we are all 'trick demonstraters' rather then good performers.
In the last week I have uploaded videos on performing close up, opening a show, dealing with nerves and tonight I have a 90 mins interview going up with an SEO expert. That’s in one week. Care to explain how that sort of content is not designed to help people improve and become better performers?
@@magic-tv I think it is about just doing the same routines over and over with an interesting persona and script.Think Eugene Burger or Tommy Wonder. That is what I aspire to. Dealing with nerves and SEO stuff is useful of course.I think about Eugene a lot when he said '''We don't need anymore tricks'' I suppose. Now Darwin Ortiz is gone!
I apologize, Craig, but I have to chime in here. How do you suppose it's possible for books like "52 Memories and Explorations" or Darwin Ortiz's, Tommy Wonders' and Eugene Burger's expert teachings to not be limited to eBay with a $2000 opening bid? To use an analogy, it's because, as any casino will tell you, it's the penny slots that keep the doors open. Since the very beginning of retailing magic, it has been a game of penny slots and an absolute passion for the art for high-risk entrepreneurs whose income in a brick-and-mortar magic shop hinged on how much itching powder, whoopee cushions , and doggy done-it was sold that week. But every now and then, a new kid would come in and take a true interest in the art, and eventually, maybe a half-dozen locals would join the club. To keep them coming back, more and more retail magic was introduced. Eventually, some of those kids would adopt new effects and assimilate them into their unique identity and brand of magic, becoming true artists. This is how most of us have matured from muggle to artist. This is how the industry works. Without the pennies per unit that come from retail sales, the well would dry up, and magic would only be available to a privileged few. And maybe that's the whole point. It sure seems that way at times. Retail magic has always been a game of pennies, and it always will be. That is the reality. Is there dishonesty in the industry? Assuredly so. But if an AGT, FU, and FISM winner can win all these competitions with props and gimmicks that magic reviewers would consider absolute crap, what does that say about all this nonsense?
"Always respected his channel" ? That's strange as i can remember only a short while ago when you claimed not to know who 'Unbiased' was. You're right though Craig ...WTF has it really got to do with you?
It's only going to be a short video...half an hour later😴. You're obsessed with the man. He has his own opinions, which quite frankly I personally like. Dex is not your product, so stop intervening like a child.
I agree l. Have you watched the video? I don’t say anything negative about him. He was the guy that referenced me several times in his latest video when it had nothing to do with me. So how did a video about card indexes and Dex turn into me being accused of being a biased reviewer Again I’m pretty sure you haven’t watched the video
@magic-tv what a ridiculous comment, and extremely naive and presumptuous of you. Of course I have watched all the videos. To myself you come across as a disingenuous person, but to be fair, I have never met you, but maybe our paths may cross at a convention, and I'll be proved wrong.
I think it's a pretty straight forward matter. David despises people learning magic of any kind on UA-cam. He's out to criticize anyone that teaches magic and in whatever endeavors they pursue. I say... ignore him into irrelevance. He has a camp of folks that agree with his philosophy. Those are his people. Trying to explain ourselves to them is generally counter-productive. I think Lloyd should have put up a short video, smiling at the camera and saying "hey everyone! David at unbiased magic doesn’t like me, doesn’t like my work, and doesn't like DEX. Go check out his review! I'll see you next time!" Done.
@markyoung405 David takes issue with people teaching their own concepts on UA-cam. He seems to feel that the practice of deception as a magical effect is special as a whole topic. This means that if one creates an effect with their own deceptive method, then it is not for them to share as they see fit. In doing so, they would be encroaching on a class of subject that doesn't belong to them. BUT it would be proper for them to put it behind a pay wall or in a book. He applies his philosophical standard to all others as the arbiter or as a spokesperson of other authorities. That kind of hubris is absurd, not only because of the poor assumptions that drive it but also because it turns something that is completely unimportant to almost everybody in the world (entertainment through deception) into something with extreme moral boundaries.
Back in my day, we didn't have these gizmos and gadgets, these social media whatchamacallits, with magicians teaching their tricks for free! No, siree! We had to embark on a quest of Herculean proportions just to learn a simple magic trick! It was like climbing Mount Everest with one hand tied behind your back! And we liked it, we loved it. We didn't have these here tutorials and step-by-step instructions, oh no! We had to decipher riddles hidden in ancient scrolls, wrestle with live alligators just to prove our worthiness, and outwit the neighborhood grizzly bear, just to get a glimpse of a magic secret. You kids these days, with your high-speed internet and fancy video editing, you don't know the real meaning of blood, sweat, and tears. We used to bleed over a deck of cards, sweat through our three-piece suits, and cry ourselves to sleep, all for the love of magic. These online magicians, they're giving away the secrets of the universe! They're like the grandkids who never had to eat their broccoli. In my day, we knew the real value of a secret, and it wasn't just given away for a simple "like" or "subscribe." It was a quest of epic proportions, a battle against mythical creatures and mystical forces. So next time you watch one of those online magic lessons, just remember, we had to defeat the Minotaur in the Labyrinth, tame the Loch Ness Monster, and juggle flaming torches while reciting the Fibonacci sequence backward just to learn a single card trick! And we liked it, we loved it. Ha!
Don Wand challenged Lloyd to a “who can pull a card out of their pocket the fastest” contest. Cannot get more lame than that however David approving comments so he can curate the responses and hide from valid criticism is awfully close.
I have grown incredibly tired of the drama-seeker mentality that supports this behavior. David wouldn't be doing it if he did not relish the comments from online drama enthusiasts, feeding his need for a cult of personality fix. Throughout all of this, I've tried to be a voice of reason. As far as the Unbiased Magic Reviews clique is concerned, it has fallen on deaf ears - not all of his subscribers, mind you, just those caught up in the cult mentality. I was a subscriber to his channel for a brief period of time until unsettling signature behaviors surfaced. I began to feel a sense of vulnerability and discomfort. Despite its indirect nature, often his form of communication not only leaves me feeling uneasy and exposed but also evokes empathy for both myself and the subjects of these reviews. I should not be feeling like this when watching a magic review, which is why I have been vocal. My intention is not necessarily to support anyone, but to plead for the cessation of using passive-aggressive, narcissistic, sociopathic mythologies in unfavorable magic reviews. I've made an effort not to be overtly personal with my criticism of David, but that last video he did with Don Wand was quite possibly the worst magic experience I have ever had in my life. I felt as if it was a middle finger directed at everyone in the magic community who finds his content offensive, and to damn them to hell. If Don Wand wants to put his money where his mouth is, instead of a challenge, get the whole bunch of you together for a weekend and have a magic summit. I promise you it will be uncomfortable at first, but when all is said and done, lifelong friendships will emerge. Maybe cut him a break and pay your own ways, but do it! Take the time off and do it. And I do mean all of you, Steve, Fiddlin' Johnny, Cavan, too. Also, I will close by saying if an AGT, FU, and FISM winner can win all these competitions with props and gimmicks that magic reviewers would consider absolute crap, what does that say about all this nonsense? I am steadily inching myself out the door and away from social media, returning to my tiny corner of the universe and insulating myself from all this moving forward, unless something dramatically positive improves for those of us who deeply care about our art and how we should be treating each other.
Don’s demo of his index was incredible.. but he also says to achieve that, you have to eat, breathe and sleep card index work. Practice multiple hours daily.. eat breath and sleep. That’s the last thing I want to do. Not to say I don’t think products and routines should be practiced, that’s not what I’m saying at all. But I don’t have time to eat, breathe and sleep ANYTHING.. especially not one specific magic tool. Too many other things to do with my time.
Hi Craig, I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed your recent video. Don't feel apologetic about expressing your past anger; it can help viewers make more informed choices about how they spend their money. Anger often arises when expectations exceed reality, and having strong opinions is entirely okay. I agree with your positive remarks about David and his unique approach to magic reviews. There's no need for a public apology; I never sensed that you did anything to upset him. When you mentioned that you'd like to see him "get back to what's important," I believe he's remained true to his style from the beginning. Regarding David's interview with Don, it was heartwarming and genuinely one of the best segments I've watched. Your willingness to do interviews with David and Don is a great idea. It could shed light on their experiences and paths in magic, and I believe you'd be fair in your evaluation. The lengthy video with Don was not unnecessary; it provided inspiration to those considering a card index purchase. Learning what can be aspired to is a valuable aspect of these videos. You mentioned not watching the next one, but I think your intention may not have come across as you meant. I appreciate your videos and hope Don Juan finds more success with his card index. Collaboration between Lloyd Barnes and Don Wand, possibly with contributions from you and David, could result in a remarkable product. Don Wand seems like a valuable addition to the magical community. Your resources and expertise are a blessing, and I'm grateful for your presence in the magic community. Your kindness and empathy shine through, and I want to thank you for sticking around all these years. Remember, none of us have truly "arrived" in life. You have a genuinely good heart.
When David brought on Don Wand and after listening to this guy flogging a dead horse and bringing up totally irrelevant side comments, I unsubscribed from his channel. I don't need God inspired magicians in my life and I certainly don't need David's smug expressions during the whole sermon by Don. I just added Nique Tan to my list of favourite reviewers.
Dude that thumbnail is flippin’ awesome 😂😂😂 Huge respect for you solid stance as always; we’re lucky to have someone with such epic experience and generosity 🤘
David has no Sleight of Hand skill, a monotone voice like Ben Stein and a weird God complex. He needs to quit worrying about what the magic community is doing and learn how to be a decent human being and a better magician.
Unbiased Magic Reviews has been an influential part of my continued growth in the magical arts. Even though he has provided these services to me free of charge, I will not be beholden to him when he becomes offensive. When David sticks to the formula and is not tainted by unwarranted pride, he is respected as a mentor. When he acts otherwise, all the goodwill and fellowship he built his reputation upon folds like a house of cards in the minds of those of us who will not tolerate it. It is my hope he comes to the realization that he is better served by being a valuable resource to all (including all magic influencers and creators), rather than persisting in constructing his foundation on the great divide. If one stirs a hornet's nest, there is only one outcome. However, if the hornets are observed with respect and under the proper conditions, a great deal can be learned, rather than having to recover from the ramifications of their terrible sting. You might think my analogy is referring to magic reviewers or wholesale distributors and publishers of magic. I am not; I am talking about magicians and our low tolerance for being poked at with sticks and being underestimated.
No offence and with all due respect Craig. But there are general points that you have to accept from others' point of view. Here we go:
1-When a product is hyped so much.
But others have given it a good review as well
My question was why was I even referenced in the latest video several times. Every UA-camr has done a video on this subject so why was I mentioned so many times in such a negative way. It made no sense especially when it’s not my product.
You say I’m going back and forth. I never shines in with my opinion until after almost every magic UA-camr has made a video about the subject. That’s it. This video was made because for some reason my name got dragged into this again
As for hype do you honestly think my products are hyped?
@@magic-tv Craig I love your magic tricks man, but Lloyds’ video stepped over the line. Now Lloyd is too chicken to face Don.
Dude not what they said at all
He was afraid to send a demo of the actual index because he thought maybe somehow they would reverse engineer it
If you genuinely think that Don Wands' index was rejected solely because of DEX, it might be wise to steer clear of that prime real estate for sale in the Florida Everglades.
I appreciated David's point of view especially with Don honest opinions. Appreciate your channel also.
The big lesson: Saying “G.O.A.T.” about your own product begs for correction.
Don’t*
26:58 „that child is Matt by the way“ 😂
I know people hate negative review but David's review is important since he give comparison and tell the cons of a product. It is essential to magic buyer. the market is full of hype. we need balance of opinions.
He tells lies in his video review about DEX.Loyd Barnes debunks them in his own video.THATS the problem not the fact that he doesn't like the trick
It screamed personal beef, which made it anything but unbiased. You can get away with saying anything as long as you present it well. This wasn't the case here...
@@Assie8911just a note that then Lloyd made false statements in his own takedown video so it's difficult as no side is clearly in the right here.
People are soooooo worried about what other people think!
Unbelievable
Opinions and takes should be respected and not taken personally. My opinion is that Lloyd should have left it alone and not make that video. It added gasoline to the fire. The fact that creators get wound up over an opinion about their product is immature. Being mature in this case would be to leave this alone once and for all and move on, take the opinion for what it is and become better at your craft. Again, this is just my view on all this. Take it or leave it
Lloyd had every right. David outright lied.

For heaven's sake, can we please stop beating this dead horse? It's no longer productive; it's futile. That horse died when Lloyd provided complete transparency about DEX in his controversial response to Unbiased Magic Reviews. That's what they are, plain as day, but his supporters keep dancing around it by continually hyping all the surrounding moot issues.
Agreed, but David refuses to engage in an open one-on-one with Craig.
Please stop throwing gasoline on the fire. Let the man have his opinion.
Have you even watched the video?
Hey, you stop it. And allow others to have their opinion about people having an opinion.

Again have you even watched this video?
Hi Craig, are you telling us what you will be covering in your Alakazam lecture?
Dealing with nerves and SEO stuff is useful of course.I think about Eugene a lot when he said
'''We don't need anymore tricks'' I suppose.
Have you got a long video? Just for reference. Seriously, love the content.

I agree l. Have you watched the video? I don’t say anything negative about him. He was the guy that referenced me several times in his latest video when it had nothing to do with me. So how did a video about card indexes and Dex turn into me being accused of being a biased reviewer
Again I’m pretty sure you haven’t watched the video
I'll see you next time!"
Done.
Except David has put up some great 'Top 5' routines but you will have to read a book to find them!
No, siree!

Gosh.🤔
Lol
Go away troll
In my opinion, David Ladin from Unbiased Magic Reviews comes across as an angry person with an axe to grind for certain people.
I think he is just tired of people attacking his persona giving his honest opinion.
When Mr Blondie tuth?
When David brought on Don Wand and after listening to this guy flogging a dead horse and bringing up totally irrelevant side comments, I unsubscribed from his channel. I don't need God inspired magicians in my life and I certainly don't need David's smug expressions during the whole sermon by Don. I just added Nique Tan to my list of favourite reviewers.
Great and heartfelt video 🙂
Dude that thumbnail is flippin’ awesome 😂😂😂 Huge respect for you solid stance as always; we’re lucky to have someone with such epic experience and generosity 🤘

Love it
David has no Sleight of Hand skill, a monotone voice like Ben Stein and a weird God complex.
That's an extremely fair offer for interview Craig. That's one I'd like to watch. Well done.
Craig, 100%agree with you hard facts mate!!! Also thanks for mentioning our group chat at the end👍🏽🤘🏽
Grate vedio craig as always. Thankyou for mentioning the group chat at the end. 😁
