My advice on learning the memdeck is to take your time. I spent about six months memorizing it. I started with about ten cards and added a couple every few days, creating exercises I could do in my head each day while walking my dogs.

Hi Craig, I think that would be a great future video! “The best closers for a kids magic show.” Also, do you have any advice when it comes to performing magic for seniors like in nursing homes and living facilities with dementia? Lastly, what is your favorite bill in lemon or bill to impossible location? Thanks, I hope you have a great day!

    Hey Craig
Messaged you again on messenger and like you said i am not going to give up till you respond.
I want to applaud you and Lloyd for the infinity deck.
I normally wait for reviews to come in before i buy a trick but with the first trailer i knew enough to buy it directly!
Then you, lloyd and Murphys came with all the videos about the project and then i knew even more.
And because of the Magic podcast hosted by Beau (Who was as stressed as possibly you can be when you want an interview for all ages available with you and Lloyd in the interview)
I knew that Sven in The Netherlands had the project.
Within 24 hours of release he even sold out his first batch.
I made the main routine (the 3 tricks : Koran, Acaan, The Sentence Reveal) a 3 trick routine with an extra kicker ending (magician in trouble scenario)
and changed the sentence to a sentence that works in Dutch.
So thank you, Lloyd and Phill for this awesome project!
    Now for the questions!
    1.
You have said you want to add 5 places to the gold section of the nettrix.
Is it maybe an idea that you make that 3 places so you keep 2 places (4 hours) as an option for people to book you for a gold consult hour?
I bet there are a lot of people (containing me) who would pay for you to help them with a consulting hour.
It is an idea but i am curious what you think about it.
    2.
What are your thoughts on Joao Miranda's trick Equalizer and do you have ideas with it?
    3.
Where is the drunk magic ukulele player?
He was allways good for a laugh with the most random questions.
    I miss that
    4.
Do you know if there are svengali deck available where at least one side is blank so you write on it?
    Keep doing the good work!

Hi Craig, sorry for the confusion last week, I asked if you did any ticketed GIGS, Spelling error I said GAGS by accident 😂 thanks for the info last week regarding mirage deck, I have started to push down on the cards more now and it’s solved me flashing the force cards, many thanks for your help again

Do you think it would work starting a walkaround/banquet set with knock 'em dead and then going in to evoke, transitioning by saying I like to make my magic more meaningful than playing cards?

Craig - thank you so much for looking at my set list i really appreciate your honest advice on these set lists! You have instilled me with confidence and given me LOADS to think about and have echoed some of my gut feelings on my set - thanks for taking the time to go through this! I wish i could be on gold level to get into this in more detail, i will keep my eyes peeled!
I tried to vary them so i have quick modular material and longer routines for when time allows. So much of my residency for example relies on me to "f*ck on, f*ck about, f*ck off"! So usually time to do 1 thing! It can be overwhelming to know what to do and escape before food arrives!
    Anyhow ...
    This weeks question:
I have a corporate gig in the diary i wondered if you had any tips on incorporating the companys products into my magic, whilst not requested i thought it might be a nice suprise. Its a corporate family day.
This particular company sell tools - screwdrivers, spirit levels, joists !!!

Hi Craig, hope you are having an incredible week. Two questions. Would the Silver level on the Netrix have enough advice and knowledge to take me from a keen amateur to a full time magician, or would you instead recommend waiting for the Gold level to open up?
Secondly, how is Matt coming along with Level Up? Would love to see an update video on that. Also any more magical advice videos with the two of you would be great. I really enjoyed your sales advice video. Many thanks and much love to you and everyone at Magic TV.

Ditto on closers for kid shows. Many thanks. Also how about openers for kid shows. Yet another could be great on call backs/running gags for kid shows (a kind of transitions exploration but for kid shows). Love your work and have all your non-coin tricks (entering coins soon, but it is daunting).

    Hey Craig
    I love your channel!
My question is do you think Inevitable Choice by Christian Grace could work in a parlour setting? And if so how do you think I could add this to my show?
    Thanks,
    Gavin

For a lightweight case thats kind of big, 1 option are food/pizza delivery bags. Some have straps so you can use it as a backpack. They come in all shapes and sizes. Most have plastic wall inserts so they are rigid, some have adjustable shelving. To make it look better you can attach fabric over it or get creative. I carry a leffler style suitcase table, along with a big pizza delivery bag with shoulder straps, and a small lightweight suitcase which sits on to of the bag while performing, and I can carry it all at once.

Hi Craig, My Dad is over 70 and loves magic, I’d like to get him an EDC that he can perform for his friends down the pub etc. can you recommend a trick that doesn’t break the bank and doesn’t require sleights or memorising lots of info that would be a good Father’s Day present, I have infinity on my list for Father’s Day 😁

Hey Craig, bit of a personal question but hopefully it'll have some sort of resonance: Lately I've been really struggling with the feeling that I'm just not cut out for magic. I'm a hobbyist, so I'm not feeling any monetary pressure from this, but I still constantly feel like I'm just not good enough at anything to be worthy of being in this artform, and despite having years of experience and knowing some great material I still consider my repertoire to be zero. It's made it impossible to practice aside from a couple of idle sleights because every time I try it judt reminde me how shit I am. I want to continue doing magic, partly because I've made some amazing friends and partly because I'm working on some projects I think are important under the guidance of some top talent, but I'm not sure how to continue. How do you keep the faith?

Hi Craig, my favourite magic dealer had a clearance sale recently, so I bought several decks of playing cards with special designs. I want to put them on display on a shelf in my living room, every deck set up for a different trick, so I could show guests a trick if they find one of the decks particularly interesting. (This is an idea by "The Jerx", by the way.) Question: what are some great card tricks that require a setup, but no gaffed cards?

    Hi Craig,
    Thank you sooooo much!
I will send Harry an email and will keep my fingers crossed 🙂 To be fair, it is Harry’s fault for showing me the brown one and saying that it matched the colour of my eyes - it was not until I got home that I remembered I have green eyes and I had been lulled into a false sense of security and devious salesman tactics 🤣 What’s more is that it did not make my eyes pop or make me more irresistible to the opposite sex like he said - but it is so damn pretty 🤣
I would call him but I would be forced to deny the salesman allegations mano mano 🤣🤣
Thank you once again for your help and inspiration 🙂
    Kind regards
    Ian

Hi Craig, I had a kids show yesterday and i was performing in the garden under a gazebo, it was very windy and my case kept slamming shut. The kids left about 5 minutes short of the end time to play on the bouncy castle so I stopped and did my balloon modelling that I have built into my show.. Should I have stayed for the 5 minutes and done magic for the 4 kids left (there was probably 11 in total) or just done what I did. Thanks for the Q and A every week, filled with so many nuggets of information. 👏👏👏

    • @TheAmazingSpaghetti
      @TheAmazingSpaghetti 6 місяців тому

I usually request that they turn off the bounces (in advance in my email) and when I arrive, that way you eliminate distractions and noise. I would have stayed and done more magic, or some close-up magic. But if you eliminate distractions and have a high energy interactive closer, usually you won't have kids leaving early. At an outdoor show with many other activities, swimming bounces, games, etc, sometimes you will get some kids leaving, but try to plan that stuff out with the client so you have less conflict.

    • @McKMagic
      @McKMagic 6 місяців тому

@TheAmazingSpaghetti I actually got the dad to turn off the bouncy castle before the show but there was a toddler watching who kept wandering off so his mum switched on the bouncy castle so he could play on it. Then all the others followed suit..

@@McKMagic Yeah, stuff happens. Sometimes I am quite strict about that stuff and would ask the mom not to put it on, other times I don't feel like being so strict and I feel like I dont want the hassle and it's easier to let it slide, I try to find a balance best I can.

Do you do silk to egg ever in table hopping. At weddings/restraints or is it really just a parlour/stage trick
