I'm a third vote for David Penn turning the interview table on you. Y'all have such a naturally engaging dynamic, and he'll get you to talk about things no one else could.
Thanks for answering my question. Would love to see the follow up. From reading my magic books I learned a lot about communicating, giving specific and understandable instructions. This really helps me out a lot in my practice. Your interviews with magicians and their lectures also gave me another view on presenting your bussiness successfully. It also made me more aware about client perception. I think I could go on for a while as well 😁
A way to frame a monte or 3 shell trick to not seem so adversarial is to say how you fell for a swindle...”this is what the guy did...where would you say the Queen is? THAT’S WHAT I CHOSE TOO!” Now, the two of you are on the same team, both being taken in by a conman. The final twist or load is presented as the magician getting fed up and getting one over on the conman. This gives the story a conclusion and resets the status of the magician.
Never even heard of holiday parks. Don't even know if there's a US equivalent. I guess amusement parks in US may be similar. Very cool. Learn something new every day
Hey Craig, when you learn a new trick how do you know it’s ready to be preformed at a gig or on stage? What tells you that you can preform the new trick confidently?
Cheers for answering my question. Looking forward to the everyday carry video and delighted you’re considering one for co-workers. Honestly love this channel. My only issue is I can’t keep up with all the videos 😂
Hi Craig, I'm really happy you're back. When I was fourteen I basically learned english by watching the wizard product review. Good times... My question is, what is your favourite torn and restored card effect?
Loved seeing you and Ryland review magic products! How old was Ryland when you started teaching him magic? Ryland already appears quite accomplished, even doing memorized deck work?! I have 4 year old grandsons who are anxious to learn, so any suggestions you have on where to start are appreciated!
Thanks Craig for answering my questions I look forward to September to see all the material coming out. I will also check out the at the table lecture. Good luck on the magic rant with no cursing LOL. Please don’t think I look down or think that you are uneducated for cursing I realize it is how many people express themselves. But sometimes I like my son to see a true honest opinion on things because I’m starting to get him into some magic and I prefer at his age not to put cursing in front of him. Obviously do whatever you need to do because you can’t please everyone :-)
I'm reading books, watching live lectures (Joe Rindfleish still hasn't finished his book on rubberband magic so download it is) and practicing magic on a daily basis for a few months now. I'm starting to build a foundation, but there's still a whole lot to explore. I've been wondering two things: - first: should I structure my week (for instance: monday cards, tuesday coins, wednesday rubberband, thursday sharpie, friday presentational skills, saturday cups and balls and sunday whatever I feel like needs extra attention), or is it better to take a certain period for a certain aspect and then carry on to the next. Right now I practice memdeck each day, and then I do whatevers I feel like that day... - second: I'm passionate about superhero comics. When I read a trick the first thing that goes through my mind is: 'what superhero story can I tell with this trick'. Tricks that immediately give me that click stick my mind best and are easier to perform. Is this a good way to pick material, or do I create too big of a niche? Do you allready know the date for the upcomming Alakazam coin academy?
Congratulations on Gossip, it arrived today and I look forward to learning it. I do have a question for you Craig - I refuse to look at any books or DVDs that discuss stage illusions, purely because I don’t want to know how they are done, I like to keep this area of magic ‘magical’ for me, so I can still experience the sense of wonder when I watch them. Is there any area of magic you keep off limits yourself so you can still feel like a layman sometimes?
Prohibition Monte (1914) just released. LOVE the looks of this. BUT, I don't like how long and confusing it is. Would love to see your take on it and how you would improve it.
I'm trying to make this comment to help me boost my chances of hopefully getting to be the first customer for the Netrix project - fingers crossed! I'm trying to become your big number one fan plus work towrds hopefully becoming your first lockdown success story so to speak fingers crossed! Raza =)
That sore throat looks like a pain! I hope you get well soon! My question, what “trick” or magic like thing would you teach to a layman that keeps asking you to teach them something?
Another brilliant Q&A as usual 👏. I would love to hear you get interviewed by Ryland or Sarah . Anyway here's more questions: 1. Can you do another bloopers show? 2. What's your opinion of the magic show Big Trick Energy?
No question, based on your own stated criteria, the person that should interview you is David Penn. who id like to see do interview with is Daniel Madison, only cause he is one of the strangest dudes currently living, and it would make for an interesting watch
When is a stooge a stooge? What do you think about calling him out. (Imagine you find out that a magician's Q&A during his virtual show is at some point, well, organized. Is that a bad thing?)
Big trick energy tru TV Chris Ramsey Eric erleticrick wes barker and other guy illusion and Wes barker goes in detail on first illusion they did and explain in dea Detail how it's done
It is a shame that the Magic circle takes that attitude on past mistakes. I remember the first trick released by an Asian magician who is now famous ,won “ fool us and is very popular now,. The trailer was dishonest and no one mentions it. I appreciate all you were doing .So you made some mistakes who hasen,t. They were not repeated and look at you now.. You are trusted and looked up to.Good going.
You sound a little hoarse. I think you may have been 'Gossiping' a bit too much over the past few days! lol. A great Q&A. You say you want to impart info to others etc - I have learned a LOAD of stuff since watching Magic TV. I've also discovered some great effects I wasn't previously aware of (bought Bag4Life recently after seeing you do it, and it goes with me EVERYWHERE! When life returns to 'normal', I hope you keep Magic TV going! (please!)
I don't just want a single talk magic interview of Craig Petty - I'm asking for an entire damn series if possible please. You mentioned Richard Young by name as a potential candidate during the Propdog live. If you feel that he could be solid that air enough. You've worked with David Penn on the review show. He seems to be another potential interview person for you. Brendan has done various interviews of people in the magic community which I watched in case this helps as well. If worst comes to worse then please free to pick an enthusiastic fan e.g. Mr Harman. If you want to pick me and/or ever get desperate enough then that's fair enough. I feel that an enthusiastic fan would have to make an extra effort preperation wise. You could try to get the guys from the brick and mortar magic shops perhaps? E.g. Propdog and/or Alakazam as you seem to be a huge fan of them? You could maybe try to get someone who hosts magic lectures? E.g. Gregory Wilson asked questions to Steven Brundage in the at the table lecture with Steven Brundage which came across as solid. I get the impression that Peter Nardi could be the absolute best man to interview you - the man seems to have a huge amount of wisdom!!!!! Raza =)
David seth kotkin Copperfield did same ideas concepts heasked layman he didn't want a sugar coated answer so he grew better quicker than anyone before he would ask the janitor extc

Really looking forward to your new releases Craig. I'll keep my eye out for them in the coming year!!!!
Another awesome Q&A. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for answering my question about resetting tricks during a gig, it was very helpful ☺️
Excellent talk today.
Thanks.

Hey Craig what are your thoughts on gambling routines? Any favorites to get into from a borrowed, shuffled deck?
Craig, you asked Greg Wilson to re-release ‘Freakey’, are you going to do the same with ‘Key Master’ ?
I always ask this! Craig , why are you
So secretive about a Keymaster rerelease?! 🤔
Are wedding fayres worth doing? What's the best tricks too do at wedding fayres
I would like to see Ian Thomas interview you
What do you think of the prism deck by Joshua Jay? Have you got it? Do you use it often?

Like i have said on here before, it was Tommy Wonder who said if you keep going to the toilet to re-set the boss will think your lazy or ill.

Daniel wouldn't do it because he's not a magician. ;-)
Peter Nardi (and/or Richard Young and/or David Penn) to interview Craig Petty if possible please! Raza =)
