Welcome back to the channel ladies and gentleman! Today we talk about exactly how much it costs to own a used BMW M4 for 2 years. May 2020, I bought this used BMW M4 F82 for a spectacular deal for $35,000 with lower mileage and 1 owner down in Sarasota, FL and drove it back here to Michigan. Since then I have done plenty of mods, miles and have done some maintenance on the way as well. The total costs of owning a used BMW M4 is down right surprising, and is right there with most economy cars! I hope you find this video useful or helpful. Enjoy!

Tired of people saying maintenance on these cars is so much more expensive than Lexus and Acura. Just get maintenance done at an independent mechanic and it will be fine.

I've owned a 2018 M4 for 5 years. Have not had a single issue with the car. Just changed the oil once a year and changed the tires once. Haven't even needed to change the brakes yet and I just hit 27k miles.

I recently had to sell my f82 😭😭
I cried for like an hour straight like 4 days after buying a new car. The emotions hit me like a train. That car was a dream car. It was absolutely a blast to drive. I was paying over $700/m for it, $120 per week for gas, over $300/m for insurance. I put 2 new plugs and coils in for $630, and then installed a $550 metal intercooler. I was coming up on needing the brakes replaced and that was going to be $2900 for all 4. Super super expensive to maintain..
That's $1491/m for a car. It was taking up so much money and god forbid something broke. If you have the income, its the best investment ever. But if you're not making a minimum of $60k/yr, you can't drive one of these and live comfortably.

@@aaronrodriguez1410 I had it for 6 months roughly. I bought it when it had 59k miles. It was a 2016. Flawless condition. Unfortunately, right when I bought it my rent went up, gas prices skyrocketed and my dumbass insurance company lied to me about insurance premiums so it doubled like 3 months later. I also daily drive it to work and my round trip was 56 miles. It was a gas guzzler. I'm going to buy one again but this time have a massive downpayment before I do. Everyone's financial situation is different but it really helps to have $10k-$20k for a down payment so you're not paying so much money per month.
As far as it being worth it, I would say "yes." BMW makes the best cars on a price to performance ratio. You can't buy a car for $40k-$50k and have it outrun almost every car on the road stock. Its seriously a very well built car.

I'm 24, live in the UK and own an f82 m4 comp. I daily drive it as well. My monthly costs are this:
Fuel : £300-£400 (roughly £4200 per year) some months I would have paid over £500 for sure
    Insurance: £85 (£1020 per year)
    Tax: £45.50 (£546 per year)
I've had the car for 1 year and have had 1 service which was the spark plugs etc. £940. 1 new set of rears for £500.
Total cost for the year: £7206
I've got brake pads coming up in a few thousand miles, but I haven't had to spend on them yet. Other than that, the car hasn't missed a beat and every drive in it is fucking amazing. The best thing is not driving it for a few days and then getting back in again. I don't think I'll ever own another car that feels the same way somehow. If you are thinking about buying one and you can afford it, just do it, it is the best fucking car out there!!

All BMWs are high maintenance, 2014 n55 m sport f10. Something I had to do which is common on them is water in the headlights. Very expensive to replace. It’s $6,000 headlight considering I have Adaptive LEDs. Yikes lmao

    • @iAlwaysSpeakTheTruth
      @iAlwaysSpeakTheTruth 2 роки тому

Yes… per headlight. 3k per shell, 8 modules 700 each , divide by 2, that’s 4 modules each headlight. I highly recommend having 10k+ set aside on these cars at all times. I don’t recommend an f10 as someone first bmw. These cars. When that headlight issue with water hits you is expensive as hell. And sometimes it shorts out the FRM module. Another 1200.

There is no gas crisis! There is enough gas, but those who controll this whole thing they don't want you and me to have cars at all! They always need an excuse to introduce a new system otherwise people wouldn't accept it. It's the same tactic just like two years ago: the shot is voluntary but otherwise you are not allowed to have a life! Same thing with the gas: oh there is gas of course but for 6$ a gallon. Which means that car owners voluntarily will say okay, it's not worth owning a car with a combustion engine anymore because I can't afford the gas.
As soon as people switched to electric cars, the price of the electricity will rocket. If you don't believe me, screenshot this comment, come back here and let me know that I was completely wrong on this.
