Great video. Just a word of advice, you need to budget an SSR Performance crank-hub sooner than later. My car is currently in the shop getting one installed because my stock crank-hub slipped. I'm super lucky it didn't spin because I've driven the car pretty hard since I ordered it in 2016 and I've been running a BM3 stage 2 93oct tune for two years. Bright side is I'll be getting a Cary Jordan E85 tune after I get my car back this week.
F8X are some of the best looking cars BMW ever made. People get triggered when I say this because according to the internet you aren’t allowed to say good things about BMWs that were built after the E92.
Love the video. I have a manual so sometimes i get jealous watching you rip it like that lol. The manual is no joke tho.. stage 2 3 to 4 is wild. just need new tires and a down pipe lol.
I have a 440i and you just Roasted Me 2 minutes in
They honestly look the same from the front except for the winged mirror which you can just add on yourself. I was debating between a 2020 440i and a 2018 M4 both in sapphire black and got the 440i and couldn't be happier. B58 is a much better engine to daily drive and just sounds amazing with the MPPSK.

Good to get your perspective on how it’s been as a daily. You were pretty much straight forward and it seems like a bulletproof car apart from the crank hub but that’s every S55.
Videos like these make me excited about getting a LCI F80 M3 DCT in a couple of years. I personally love the sound of the S55, reminds me of the M52B28 engine note.

Bought mine almost 2 years ago. Payments are a joke cuz I put good chunk down under 300 bucks. I bought when prices dipped. 15 6spd. Got it with 42k miles for 43k. Insurance under 600, per 6 months. I did not spent a dime. Car is very reliable 49k miles now on the car. Stage 2, did some exterior mods as well. It looks sharp. It's fully loaded. For the money, it's a lot of car with speedo display and all the corks. I want GT-R next or 997 turbo next. But I'm still debating as the car is rock solid.

How is your warranty is going to cover, to my knowledge as soon as you modify the engine, that voids warranty on the drivetrain.
I believe this is the case if the dealership can show the issue is due to the tune. I would not do a tune while the car was under warranty.
please please get carbon splitter, side skits and rear diffuser. would look sick and liven the car abit.

Can’t decide whether I should turbo my 86, or get an M4. I love both cars!
Honestly from experience, friends and families experience, you may love your 86 but I would suggest you get an M4. It was purely made for real fun compared to the 86. If you turbo the 86, now were talking about upgrading those brakes, adding suspension components to hold the power to the ground and more. It balls down to the real thing. Do you want to put down almost 7-10 into supporting mods or down payment for a quicker more fun car ?
@@CalvinMugenTL yeah, I’ve been going back and forth with the numbers for a while now. With the turbo I’m looking at and supporting mods, it would be at around 12k. One of the reason why I’m holding back to turboing the 86 is the chance of a blown motor.

I want an m4 from 2015 or above when I get out of high school and head for college but I’m just not sure if it’s worth the money, especially since I don’t know how to work on cars myself, I’ve heard that they are very expensive to maintain
From experience; get a 435/440i if you don’t want it to rule your finances(assuming your not making over 100k)

You reset back to factory before bringing it to the shop. But bmw can still check if the dme has been tuned. 9/10 they wont check.
You won't void if you tune it going through BMW. Somehow, when BMW tunes a car, they leave a trail that indicates it was done by BMW and not a third-party. Smart ass BMW 😅😅
tesla ftw zero maintenance in months i had a m4 it was fun but very expensive and im a bigger guy so not that comfy
How do the mods affect warranty?
I believe that if the dealership can prove that the issue the car has is because of the tune...bye bye warranty. I, personally, would not tune a car while it is under warranty.
