THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU'RE SLOWER...

- On a flight with my Cirrus SR22 to New York City's Teterboro things don't always go as smoothly, being the bumpiness down low, the crazy traffic, the fast talking air traffic controllers and it seems that everyone is faster than you...

FAQs
- What airplane is this? This is a Cirrus SR22T (Turbo) Generation 6 (G6) built in December 2018.
- Why do you fly so much? I fly for business primarily supporting my clients and staff at meetings and conferences and vendor partner relationship building for my Government Payments platform company called Autoagent
- What do you use to record your videos? I use 2 GoPro 10 cameras, I use ND4, 8 filters on the cameras, I use a Sony FRD-AX53 4K camera with mechanically stabilized optical zoom, my iPhone 13 PRO MAX for many of the video shots you see when the 4K camera is too bulky to carry. I record audio with an old iPhone using voice notes and I use a cockpit audio recording cable I bought on Sporty's.
- What software do you use to edit your videos? I use Final Cut Pro on a MacBook and iMac
- Where do you find good royalty free video clips? I use artgrid.io
- Do you do all the editing? Yes, all this work other than some filler video clips and music is my work 100%
- What oxygen system do you use? I use Precise Flight cannulas and their X3 oxygen conserver regulators with the boom cannula. Works good but the boom could use some better engineering.
- Do you promote products? Never! I keep my videos sponsor free and continue have unlimited and unrestricted fun without a "boss" or watching my words.
- You fly so good don't you make mistakes? I make tons of errors which I will never show you lol
- Where are you from originally? I was born and raised in beautiful Greece and came to the US as a College student. Loved the Country decided to stay and build my career here. Best decision ever.
- How do you afford to own an airplane? Airplane ownership can be expensive but when done right, in the US, it becomes a wonderful tax deduction that can allow you to fly for business almost for free. Get trained well, get a bank loan and buy yourself an airplane for your business.

Just finished making my morning coffee and this drops. No better way to start a morning!
Thank you for watching, just had my coffee too lol
I was drinking my 1st cup as well! Safe landings Niko!
Just woke up in Australia, and this pops up! Nice!
Ha! Yes, sitting on my sailboat, having a coffee and dreaming of flying.
That's the kinda bumpy approach that just makes you feel so grateful when you're finally out of the plane. Love your videos as always.
So true!
1:52 blue sky is life.
Way to battle that turbulence and xwind. Great job thanks for posting!
I like everything about your flying technique.
Great job Niko. Yup the production just gets better and better. And the thriller/drama element with the winds 16g24 always adds to the finale! 😆🛩
Thanks again!
So funny I see you post. I was just thinking about you this morning because I am flying to either Kenosha or Burlington today for my commercial long cross country flight. For years while waiting for the FAA to issue my medical I day dreamed about flying thru your channel. Glad to see you are flying and doing well my good sir.
Fun times, I’ve done so much training up there. Nice fields! Send pics
@@NikosWings I know. I remember watching your videos from up there.
Hey Niko, welcome back! I flew out, and landed at Teterboro Airport couple times. That's one busy airport due to all those private jets. Wow, I saw your left hand getting some serious workout on landing.🤣
Definitely a lot of expensive heavy metal on that real estate.
Good to see you traveling again, Niko! As always, great storyboarding and editing. Excellent choice of music to match the clips. And your photography is always fantastic. Sierra Zulu sure is beautiful!
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a great way to finish my day. It’s 11:20pm here. Have a great day.
You too
Glad to see you back! Missed your videos.
NIKO! Glad to see ya.....
brilliant as always sir
Love it. Those Teterboro controllers are awesome. They’ll give you a ribbing about being slow, but they’ll get you in. I flew in there last year and I think he mistook me for a Bonanza - which flies about 30-40 kts faster than me. He called me out for being slow and doing me a favour, but he fit me in there.
They are good but definitely come off rude
Another great vid…looked like a busy approach. And ya, that hotel room looked like a closet! Thanks for taking us along Niko!
..always a great day...when Niko posts another great video..and please..keep em coming ..
Another great video! Thanks Niko!
My pleasure!
Slow and steady wins he race my friend. Keep up the great content and safe flying!
Love your videos!!!! Always great footage, editing, and narration!!!

Another awesome video Nikko. Well done.
Glad you enjoyed it
Your videos are always interesting Niko. I really enjoy watching them
Thank you!
Glad you like them!
That was awesome. I enjoyed it very much. Great flying, great radio work.
Glad you enjoyed it
Good to see you again Niko ✌️
You too!
that was a sporty arrival! you made it look easy!
I always love watching your videos, Niko. They remind me of why I love flying planes when I don't get the chance!
Glad you like them!
Great video Niko as always 🎉🎉❤❤❤
Thanks! 😃
Just got home from a long weekend in Bonita Springs! What a nice community they have. I really enjoyed my time there. Man I love Florida. Gets harder to come back home to Ohio each time I visit. Another great video Niko! Thank you!
Hey Niko, good to see you. Safe travels!
Hey, thanks!
A great vid again. That’s passion for aviation. Greetings from Germany ✈️✈️
Thank you very much!
I know the feeling when your a bit slower I fly an RV 12 and many times on downwind I get “ turn straight for the numbers”. Makes it interesting and keeps you sharp. Great video. Thanks KAPF
Great new Video! Thank you very much! ✨✌🏻😉Best regards from Germany- EDQK
Thanks a lot for this new video waited for quite long. Always a pleasure to watch it and see how you enjoy flying…
Sorry for the long wait. Life and work have been busy.
@@NikosWings don’t be sorry. That is the same for all of us😂
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it
How strange, I was thinking about you today and was wondering where you had gone, then bingo, you pop up. What a nice surprise. Great to see you back again. I hope the rest or the return journey is not as bumpy as it was coming in. As usual you did an excellent job. Love to all the family.
Great minds think alike lol 😂
HAAAA !!! what a flight Niko ... nice to see your videos...again.. well unbelieve NYC... hope you meeting went well and successfully... back to FL... Nice to share... bumping ride... All The Best Niko !!! Hotel ....... no words.....
I absolutely love your vids man keep it up your awesome
Glad you like them!
Greetings again to all from Ohio .... Great ride-alongs! Thank you for Jax! I hadn't seen it in years .... I spent much time there for work. Great flight up Hwy 1. Stay safe in NY, and we'll look forward to the flight home! Blessings, and good business to you!
Glad you enjoyed it
The hustle and bustle of NYC love it!🗽
Always!
Welcome Back!
Thumbs up 👍 and thank you for sharing 😊
Thanks for the visit
16000ft, Niko you are the man
Welcome to NYC , KTEB is always crazy .. nice work with ATC .. the radio calls can be fast and furious like everything else in NY .. NIce Job .. and yes the hotel rooms are small but the rates are crazy !!!!!!
Yup
Nice editing work. I know it takes a lot of work and time but it is appreciated on this end.
Oh, and those forearm muscles on your crosswind landing were quite impressive!
Glad you liked it!
Just finished watching your video. I really enjoyed it. When will you be at Sun N Fun?
Not sure if I can make it but I’ll try. Conflicts with work this year
After a busy 3-day trip @my airline, I wake up, grab my coffee sit down and I see this, a new Niko’s Wings! Love it!
-“approach 2sz is slowing to xx speed due to constant moderate turbulence.” That’ll help ya out. Good call btw, you were getting rocked there!
Good tip
Missed your videos Niko!!
More to come!
cool - at 8:52, you can see that you flew right over our house! (just north of MATOX) near KFCI - cool to see!
Instrument check ride in a couple weeks. Wish me luck. I finally understand all the radio talk you have on your channel. Started knowing nothing ;)
You can do it!
Time for a vision jet Niko lol, always enjoy your video's.
Maybe one day!
Another great video and flight! Do you your own editing? If so, it is amazing!
I do!
They all talk fast in NY, even the Taxi drivers have speed of light vocabulary, enjoyed that, as always.
Yes they do
Good morning Niko great to see you awesome flying greetings from the imperial city cusco the southern hemisphere
Hello there!
Nice tunes toward the end of the video. I would be interested in a video about your journey as a student from Greece and starting your tech business in the U.S. I think those of us younger would appreciate it very much. Thanks Niko.
Great suggestion!
Next time into NYC try KCDW. Way easier to get in and out of and only slightly longer into NYC (will be much quicker from the city to wheels up when you leave though). Plus gas will be way less as well.
Good Sunday Morning! I love your videos! Serious sim pilot (VATSIM, G1000, etc) and I noticed your screen showed that you were in the airspace of the Washington ARTCC. Was that your Foreflight screen? Just curious! Keep'em coming - oh and any landing you can walk away from is a good one! :)
It was the Garmin MFD
Niko, Just a comment to let you know how much your video's are appreciated. I realize the work it takes to shoot and edit them. I'm a fellow pilot and have been considering dropping the hammer on a Cirrus 22T/G7. Your videos have been a great help in making my decision. Also, love the sunglasses. What are they?
DITA brand
Hi Niko, I’m also from Europe and I now what do you mean, about Hotel rooms. But always great to see you trawling with the Plane. I love your channel and always happy landing 🛬 Best regards from Italy
Thanks Stefan! Hope to visit Italy again soon. Love love love your beautiful Country
Nice to see you again Niko. Beautiful movie as always, but I have a question: what program do you use to edit your videos? And maybe it's time for SF50. 😀
I use FCPX. I have more details in the description
Those last few minutes were intense. Guess you’ll have to slum in a Tesla again and pick yourself up a TBM!✈️😂
Hello nice Video cool 😊
From about 1997 to 2001 a friend and I owned a small Commercial Service company and we serviced almost every Uhaul Storage and retail service outlet facility in Florida. Every other month roughly I flew commercially out to Florida to visit existing customers, work on new business, and handle any problems. I could land anywhere and visit every market center in a week. St. Augustine from what I learned is the oldest inhabited City in the entire United States and has some it's own interesting charm. A good place to visit. Good to see you up again, thanks for the ride!
Interesting business! Yes, St. Augustine is truly the oldest city in the US established by the Spanish and it has a medieval feel and charm to it.
I’m liking those sunglasses! What brand?
DITA
I can see that was tough landing i see your bicep working to keep stady nice job
Yes it was
Liked the background music. Not sure if there would be copyright issues but you should consider movie soundtracks for music. Shawshank Redemption, Braveheart, Castaway all have great music, too many more to mention.
Copyright violations unfortunately
Another very cool video Niko! Quick question, does ATC generally work with you, when you're trying to stay out of weather issues?
Thanks again!
Yes they do
Ha I've stayed @ that Paramount hotel. A whiskey and coke was $25 and my window view consisted of a wall 5' away, honestly it could have been the same room. Great location though!
I’m so jealous, my GF used to have an apartment in Manhattan, spent a lot of time there, great times. Enjoy!
Welcome to New York niko😊 that room is big compared to other places
It really is!
Welcome to NJ
KMMU or KCDW a little bit further from NYC but not as crazy as KTEB
I have to try that next time because TEB is not my cup of tea anymore
@@NikosWings or maybe you should buy a Jet?
I usually fly into FRG from Boca. ATC allows you to stay at cruise altitude when staying east much longer than when you’re flying near Washington and Philly as required to go into TEB. Depending on Long Island traffic it’s about 10 mins longer to get to FRG than to TEB. FRG may be more convenient if you’re staying on the east side of Manhattan.
I’ll try it next time
Always a pleasure to see your videos. Question: You picked up your G6 a few months before I did the same. Last month I couldn’t resist the temptation to order a G7 for delivery in about 18 months. Any possibility of you doing the same?
I may consider that next year but may also consider the Vision Jet. Will see, it all depends and finances and business outlook.
I love your glasses. What’s the brand and model? Thanks
DITA
3rd place. Have you considered using a portable oxygen concentrator like Martin Pauley? I am curious as to what the effectiveness of these devices is at 17, 000 ft. 🛩
The Cirrus is equipped with built in oxygen tank in the tail of the aircraft. Fully integrated into the panel. Pauly’s solution would be a downgrade.
You are my idol (aspiring pilot)! Do you think you will upgrade to the vision jet or something like a TBM?
If I can workout the financial gap then a vision Jet would be my next airplane, if not a G7
Niko is an excellent pilot and he is also the Chairman of the Board!
😊
Man, that was a tough landing. I do love your sensibility when booking a hotel room. No suite, just regular. Though, that room was small :-D But hey, I bet it's all about the shower and a good nights sleep anyway.
Yes and still very expensive
Love those sunglasses who makes it?
Dita
Niko you are just going to have to get you an incredible “Vision jet” I remember meeting you at Jet Center at LZU
True in the jet, and I think I remember that day
Hey, Niko. Nice to see you again. How's the family. And the cat? The trip was a little intense for some reason. I know you enjoy your business and you do take care of business. Anyway, Nice to see you. Take care. JCM
All good
Niko, time for some bouzouki background music.
It's funny how you can tell when a human body is under stress. All the sense heightening up. Rock n roll
I fly a C414A and even at 180KIAS I get moved a bit further out. Once close I'm mixing in fine. Oddly, flying into KIAD I was slowed behind a B767 on parallel ILS. That's never happened to me before.
Tough flying into TEB. CDW and HPN more friendly. Well done!
Yes, thank you they are on my list for next time
Nikko I’m heading to Thessaloniki for work next week! Lmk if there are any must see places
Or things to do I heard it is gorgeous there!
The entire city is a gem but especially the water front with the beautiful cafes and restaurants. The Laladika district for sure is a must and make sure you go to the Modiano market…
@@NikosWings thank you! I will do that I also heard there are some beautiful cathedrals and Byzantine ruins and I plan to check out Perea beach !
@nickpapagiorgio5056 I agree, also the museums are good too as well as the old churches which go back 1000 years plus. The whole area is great so if you have time visit Chalkidiki peninsula
@@NikosWings Thanks Niko I just looked up chalkidiki peninsula it looks unreal man, thanks again, I also heard mount Olympus is not very far either I can’t believe how big that city seems to be, it looks like it’s almost as big as Athens!
So for many in GA the SR22T is quite capable .. seems like there always is a bigger plane, soon Niko's Jets? or TBM
A Cirrus jet would be great
Hello from Russia 🛩️
Niko!! Man, that really is close to the smallest hotel room I've seen, tho I did stay in one in London where the door barely cleared the bed. Any thoughts on moving up from the SR22T? VisionJet would be natural, but other options like TBM, Pilatus PC12, Meridien, Epic, etc. Pressurization and turbine power seems like they could improve your life no? Yes, I know...easy for me to say since I'm not paying for it, but I'm sure you have plenty of time up in the air to daydream about these things! Please share your thoughts!
For sure I will be sticking with the Cirrus brand. Probably a G7 or a Vision Jet in the future.
I've been looking to buy these boom cannulas for oxygen. Where did you get yours? Thanks!
Precise flight from Sportys
Hey Niko, could you do a video about turbulence? How you deal with it? I noticed that it was bumpy in nj, I usually slow down to 140 if this is bumpy like that, but atc asked you to keep 155. What is your limits on turbulence when you start to slow down?
Yes 140 and lower feels much better which happens to be the structural speed.
Потная посадка вышла....
sweaty landing...
Yes it was tough
greased landing 🛬👍🏻
Thanks 👍
I know which hotel you went to in NYC and yep, damn small room. But I once paid almost 300 bucks for a pull down Murphy bed in a Holiday Inn down in the financial district. It was all they had so I took it. But the smallest room was one a customer booked for me in Paris. I could damn near touch both walls when I spread my arms. I guess it was cheap.
