How do you find the programming code?? Mine doesn't have the stickers because I just recently moved into a new house
I don’t have Programming code so can I use this which in video ?
@@chaboiseannneeded to save the code in the pamphlet when you bought it
This video is amazing as well as your other one on how to find the programming code. Although I took a part the lock I was looking for the code on the back side note the front. I didn’t purchase the lock so I wouldn’t have know that. Big thanks!!!
@@crystalpolston4247 You're welcome!
This doesn't work on mine , the lock thinks I am entering my usual code when I am trying to enter the program code. I cannot get the program code entered no matter what I try
Hi there,
It looks like you're not entering the correct Programming Code. You may need to reset the lock, then use the default Programming Code to reprogram the lock.
Your video was very helpful and straightforward. Thank you!
Glad to be of help!
Fantastic, everything worked absolutely perfect after following your instructions here! Nice job! Congrats my friend!!All the best to you and your family.
Glad to be of help! Wishing you and your family all the best as well.
Great videos, for the programming code change and this code’s change
You're welcome!
Amazing easy instructions! That's the fastest I've ever changed a code on this lock. Great job with the instructions!! Basic and simple. Thank you!!
Glad to be of help!
Does this mean that anyone who knows the program code can reprogram your lock from outside?
Yes.
@@SmartTechVille is it possible to change the programming code?
You can also change the programming code -- ua-cam.com/video/Fy8rqL8X-Us/v-deo.html
Yea
This worked. When I go to unlock the door is the lock supposed to beep red after I enter my new code? it never did this before. Your thoughts?
You should see a green flash instead of a red one. This usually happens if you enter an incorrect code or if vacation mode is enabled.
Double check that you're entering the correct code you just changed. If that checks out, vacation mode could be enabled. Enter your Programming Code (the 6 digit code). If vacation mode is active, you will hear a long beep and see a green flash, indicating vacation mode is now turned off. Now, try to unlock it again.
i don’t have the programming code and removed the cover and there is no yellow or white label. not sure what else i can do?
@@HollyPayne-x6r Not just the cover. Remove the interior cover. Then remove the two long screws using a Philips head screwdriver. Next, take out the interior assembly.
Now, go to the exterior assembly and partially remove it (you don't need to take it out completely). You should see the sticker on the inside of the exterior assembly (the keypad) -- see this video for the exact position of the sticker -- ua-cam.com/video/3H7LKQi4FGc/v-deo.html
If you can't find the sticker, you're out of luck and won't be able to change the code.
Perfect process.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
What's the programming code 💀?, just my regular code i put in?
what do you do if you dont have the original 4 digit code you want to delete
Hi there,
You can find the default 4-digit code (user code) on the back of the keypad assembly -- usually printed on a white or yellow label. You'll need to remove the lock from the door to find the code -- I've explained that briefly in this video -- ua-cam.com/video/3H7LKQi4FGc/v-deo.html
The lock actually comes with two default 4-digit codes and the Programming Code (6 digits).
Keep in mind that if the two default 4-digit codes have been previously deleted, you'll need to reset the lock to restore the default codes. See how to reset here -- ua-cam.com/video/8MdLPMsjeaw/v-deo.html
After the reset, you can delete the default codes and add your own codes.
If you need further assistance, please let me know.
I have the code, but it's 6-digits and as soon as I get to the 4th digit the Schlage button starts flashing & beeping because it's not the code we are currently using. How do I get past this problem?
Hi there,
At what step are you getting the red flashes and beeps?
However, red flashes and beeps during programming indicates the code is incorrect. To 'get past this problem', you'll need to reset the lock to remove all existing codes and restore the factory default codes.
But first, find the default codes. The lock comes with a Programming Code (6 digits) and two User Codes (4 digits). These codes are usually printed on a white/yellow label, and you can find them on the user manual that came with the lock or on the back of the keypad assembly. See this video for more details -- ua-cam.com/video/3H7LKQi4FGc/v-deo.html
Next, reset the lock. See how to reset here -- ua-cam.com/video/8MdLPMsjeaw/v-deo.html
After the reset, the default codes are restored. You can now delete the default User Codes (4 digits code) and add new codes -- by following the instructions in this video.
Let me know how it goes.
I did get the change passcode from inside the lock. When I try to enter that change passcode (which is 6 digits and our regular passcode is 4 digits), it starts beeping at me as soon I enter the 4th number. I can't even enter the last two digits of the change passcode.
One of your 4 digits of your code are the same as the programming code maybe? Throwing it off
@@hummingbirdhill239 Hi I am having the same problem you had with the programming code. After 3 or 4 digits it beeps. How did you change it.
@@jomariestahulak7295 We ended up just staying with 4-digits and set up a new code, but only used 4 places
You're the best
@@kuduz1234 Thank you! Glad to be of help!
How do you find out the programming code if you no longer have one??
You'll need to remove the lock from the door. Then check the back of the exterior assembly -- the programming code is usually printed on a yellow/white sticker.
Note that if the code was previously changed, the default code won't work. If it doesn't work, reset the lock to return it to factory defaults. Now, you can use the programming code you found on the lock to program it.
Thank you.

Where do we get the programming code?
Hi there,
You can get the Programming Code on the user manual that comes with the lock. If you don't have the user manual, remove the keypad assembly from the door to find the Programming Code. See this video for more details -- ua-cam.com/video/3H7LKQi4FGc/v-deo.html
Where will i find the programming code
Hi there,
You can find the Programming Code on the front/back of the user manual. If you don't have the user manual, you'll need to remove the lock from the door, then check the back of the keypad assembly to find the Programming Code (6 digits). More details on this video -- ua-cam.com/video/3H7LKQi4FGc/v-deo.html
Edit:
If the lock was previously used by another owner, they might have changed the default Programming Code. So if you find the code and it doesn't work, it means it's been changed by the previous owner. If that's the case, you'll need to reset the lock to restore the factory default codes -- that way, the code you found on the lock should work fine.
Next, change the default Programming Code (6 digit code) and the two User Codes (4 digit code).
Thank you for responding
