I would go with the Roland DJ-808. More possibilities and a built in drum machine. If you were going to go with any Denon, I would wait for the Prime4.

I'd like your help, please. yesterday i tried the roland dj-808 for the first time.but i had a problem that i didn't understand when i turned the booth monitor on with the drum machine on.the monitor was half off and i got a weird sound at the end and it rebooted normally. i want to know if it was a technical failure or an fx effect that i didn't handle properly..thanks.

@@istvan_4430 you can always adjust the tempo knob on the 8S to match the dj tempo . Then it's just a matter of hitting start on the 8S in time with the controller songs.
@@UnitE808 it seems to me that it works very well. just a small problem problem with the helmet that works on one side only and sometimes it forces me to tap or move a little the plug so that the left side works again. I'm not yet installed the ground wire. I'm a beginner I don't know too much about the connection

I use a gator g arm under the TR-8S. The DJ808 is held up by a Crane stand pro. I dont recommend the crane stand for a big controller like the DJ808, but it works nicely for the TR-8S.

Thanks for sharing. I agree that the sound quality is dope. It’s been my gig controller for over 5 1/2 years. I understand your frustration with the build. It requires more care when handling and sometimes that can’t happen. It’s a fine balance between cost effectiveness and build materials.
Just got the same controller lots of stuff to play with...getting back into djing... It will be a process.. Have encountered any problems with the controller? Knobs, software, etc.. What software are you using? Really appreciate your input... Like the cut with "Set if off".. I djed back in the day with the techniques 1200's...vinyls, etc...gotta get back into it. Really solid mixing, good job!! About tr8s I'd like to know if using A to H letters is possible to create a sequence to record like drum part of a song. This is my very first time I found so many difficulties with a Roland product ..... sigh....
You can make each letter a different part of the song, but they only play sequentially. You cant make it play A,A,C,E,A on it's own. You would have to manually change the variation as needed.
@@jakubjunga I think I accidentally erased your last comment. I don't have any midi map on the 808 to stop the TR-8S. If you press stop on the TR-S section of the 808, it will stop the TR-8S. Otherwise, I usually just cut the channel fader that the TR-8S is going through.

Hey mate such a tidy set loved it I was wondering if the tr8s needs to be connected to a mixer then to the controller to match tempo with the Dj 808 or can you directly connect it with a quarter inch and assign it to one of the channels on the controller(trying to avoid buying a mixer) anyway keep ripping weeeew!!
All you need is to use the USB. Out of the TR-8S into the 807 hub. Top USB is channel 3 bottom is 4. Switch the input on the front of the 808 for the proper channel to usb.
I appreciate your feedback! This was not a rehearsed routine. I was listening to some tracks I just picked up and decided to add in what I was playing with on the TR-8S. I agree more practice of a routine would show more confidence in that routine, but this was just jamming out. Thank you again for the support!

With the tr8s connected to one of the USB ports, it will be synced up with the TR-S section of the DJ-808.

Not normal. Sounds like your controller isn't earthed, or grounded. Is it affecting the functionality of the controller?
