I think so too!! Sometimes I remember the times, she would talk trash about herself and her builds every 10 seconds, even though they have always been amazing, and it makes me so happy, that she recognises her great abilities now ☺️

Build challenge idea: building a house, room by room (you decide where to start). 2 minutes on the clock. You can't see the timer. If you let the alarm go off, the time for next room halves, if you stop before the alarm goes off the time doubles.

i love simsie’s builds. they’re not too elaborate or over cluttered like a lot of things on the gallery. i am also a blue suburban girl!
I feel like this challenge shows how much skill and experience actually goes into building nice houses. Your 10min build already looks better than most of my builds, but that's fine because you literally have hundreds of hours of building-experience and generally know what you are doing, while I mostly try to get done with building quickly or get stuff from the gallery so I can get to the gameplay. 😄
The best part about doing victorian/older houses in sims is the little nooks inside. The outside always looks so cute with bumpouts so there are weird floor plans where you have to use little nooks and its actually accurate 😂
Just wanted to say thank you. Driving an hour to the airport after work at 2 am and having this play in the background makes me feel like there’s someone else in the car with me. Thank you for keeping me awake!

The first one is giving ✨️EA build✨️ (but honestly better 😂)
The 10 minute build looks like a generic EA build, the 30 minute build is how most of us probably build, and the three hour build is how wonderful people like you, Tanya, etc share for us! Loved watching the evolution, and would love to see you do another challenge like this with maybe an apartment or a beach house or something.
That 3 hour one, from the front, reminds me a little of that premade yellow house from sims 2 u could choose to plop on an empty lot (if anyone remembers 😂)

This is THE BEST way to show how learning to build better is a process. You won't be 10 times better from one build to the other, it takes timeeee. Loved this ❤❤❤❤❤
I remember being in stream and being super jealous of this build because I had just spent like the entire previous weekend building a huge yellow Queen Anne/Victorian and then you got the bones of the 3 Hour Build done in less than an hour. Hahaha... I'm still proud of what I did but the timing was funny.

I think I spent half the video trying to remember where I'd seen this concept before. Then I remembered there was a trend in the art video community doing something similar with the same sketch but with varying lengths of time. Very creative way to bring that concept into the sims. (I'm not saying that's where she got it from. I know she said in the video I laterally just watched. but I honestly forgot what she said. lol) I love the house and the video 💜

A fun idea for next time could be to reverse the order of the builds! Like do the 3 hour house first, then the 30 minute, then the 10 minute. It could be fun to see what things you decide to cut when you start from a really extravagant house and then move to stuff more basic.

Could you try building the Spellmans house from Chilling Adventures of Sabrina from Halloween? Very Victorian but spooky
my grandparents live in a blue suburban. they have owned this house for over 50 years, and still live in the 100% original house + a few additional expansions!!! it is my absolute favorite, and my mom gets to really go back home when we visit, she sleeps in her childhood bedroom
I think even the ten minute house wasn't bad but I loved the final version. You're so talented. Love seeing the kittens. They're so cute and they love hanging out with you while you record.

Challenges like this highlight that time really counts when you are co.paring yoir builds with others... likely the amazing ones we areal in awe if took HOURS
I love this build challenge. All three builds came out quite well despite the shorter time limits for the first two houses.
The 30 minutes house looks like 10 minutes one, but renovated. I think it's kinda cute. Maybe it was renovated to fit two children instead of one😄
Next may when you do your charity streams you should fill all of Newcrest; starter homes, community lots, mansions, all of it as a series of ten minute build challenges. The whole of newcrest in. One. Stream. Then you can have people renovate it and tour it in another stream!

I would try o do it the other way arounf, 1st 3hour build, 2nd 30 min build and lastly the 10 min build. I loved those three builds!!

Putting windows in weird places or them not being lined up in a Victorian home just makes it more historically accurate, because at this time, floor plans started becoming less formal, and they wanted to put the windows in whatever places were most functional and the rooms in whatever shapes were functional instead of the symmetrical and boxy architectural styles before, and homes were starting to become modern. It was one step before the open floor plans of early Prairie houses.
They all look amazing Kayla! This gave me an idea for another times challenge. What about starting the 3-hour build first then 30 mins, then 10? I think what made the 10 min build way more difficult is because it's the first one. I think it'll be a greater challenge to try and copy how the 3 hour build went it 10 mins. 🙈

The kitchen style in the 10 and 30 minute houses is called a "cabin kitchen" (not for log cabins but like cabins in ships) with the narrow hallway and kitchen cabinets on both walls. I personally hate the style in real life homes. It feels claustrophobic, even though as an open ended kitchen where you can walk through, it's practical. But the window at the end here makes it look quite nice 👍
The 3-hour house is giving me some Gilmore Girls vibes. ❤️❤️

I’m not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but just a tip, during the 10 minute build, she said she couldn’t fit the double bed in the room and scooted it into the wall. Well, where she put the desk, you can put the double bed there and it will function! I had the same exact issue 2 days ago when I was building a room and I tested out a double bed there, and it worked! I’m not exactly sure if it would work for 2 sims and if they wanted to woohoo, but for functionality purpose with sleeping it did indeed work for my teenage sims room.
Beautiful houses... you make me think, I had that bug where the rails on the stairs disappeared... we know the sims team sometime introduce bug on stuff they are working on... could it possibly means that we would get an update on railing so we can place one at a time 👀
