same, i really want to make morgues and stuff, probably wouldnt ever happen but itd be cool to get two careers, a grim reaper one and a mortician, itd be interesting to do funeral preparations
what else i think would be cool: a new world with a mortuary (and mortuary business gameplay), more mourning related moodlets and effects, ways to pay respects, display memorials, and celebrate life, maybe even an afterlife world populated by ghost sims and ghost pets... and then baby shower events, a daycare (and daycare business gameplay), and more pregnancy and birth gameplay to go with the nursery pack like maybe finding out the gender at the doctor, doing prenatal checkups and having pregnancy symptoms, making a baby book or collecting family keepsakes.

for the free updates one, that tarot card represents ‘the world’. and if you look in the corners of the card, there’s four different worlds: sulani, strangerville, forgotten hollow, and mt. komorebi. i think we’re getting world refreshes.

when you have a household with a single sim, and they die, you typically get a "Game Over" screen, what if with the pack you get a "to be continued?" screen with an option to play in the sims afterlife?

What I am guessing Life and Death will be about:
-New graveyard lot
-Funeral event aka after the reaping, Grim won't come to take the body until after the funeral
-Active career as the Grim (maybe you can now woohoo and have babies with Grim without any cheats)
-Tarot cards can hint at the psychic powers/abilities which can be a skill
-Ties in with Paranormal SP so you can be a medium and talk to ghosts that have passed (like freeing them to the nether world)
-New world that is the Nether World that is like the secret magic world of Glimmerbrook, so we have a normal world and then if you are a ghost, you can go into this new world after your reaping
-As for the life part, I am guessing more things for elders and maybe the newborns?
-I really don't know what to expect from the life part

The first Tarot card in the video is a card called The Star and is generally read as "Hope, Optimism and a bright future. Good things to look forward to."
The second one with the cowplant kinda looks like the Judgement card which is read as "Literal judgement, something coming back to life or reflection on achievements".
The third one is the Death card generally read as " Change, an end of something (or someone!) or a transformation." It could also be The Fool, generally read as "A fresh start, a new concept but with a lot to learn. Innocence, optimism and willingness."
The final one is The World card and is generally read as "Completion. Things coming full circle. A natural end to something."
these cards are kind of perfect, i liked another comment that said the well in The Star card could be a sort of fountain of youth like the wishing well from romantic garden stuff!
and Judgement, if we do end up as a Grim Reaper career part of it could be like the role of Osiris from ancient Egyptian mythology (lord of the underworld and judge of the dead, god of fertility, deciding which afterlife souls go into) so like when you “beg the grim reaper” as the grim reaper career you could have the power to decide if they live or die.
also i know the sims probably doesn’t want to mess with the afterlife because religion is a hot topic BUT “after death” also makes me think about the possibility of a secret world like the magic realm or lot like the sylvan glade in willow creek, like a place ghosts go after dying.
i’m also really hoping we get ghosts as a life state since it’s “life and death” and can create ghosts in CAS and have different needs UI like the other life states.
so The Star makes me think of hoping to continue living, Judgement is reaper deciding whether or not you are allowed to, and whether or not 3 is Death or The Fool kind of makes sense in its ambiguity, like it depends on if the reaper allows them to live “innocence, fresh start”, or lets them die, “change, end”, and The World is possibly hinting at an afterlife world for ghosts, completing the cycle?
as someone who does tarot i love how they used major arcana cards in their hints. the meanings totally match the themes id imagine in this pack!!!
8:49 “To be continued” to me implies maybe being able to play more w sims after death, like their story gets to “be continued” . I saw some ppl suggesting an after life world/underworld? The comment from the tarot about seeing “what’s next” I feel like adds to this implication. Idk but I’m excited to find out!

If we get a grim reaper career I’d love to have it be like on-call, like your sim has a time that they might get a call for work and then they go when a sim dies, I think it’d be a nice option other than rabbit holes and active careers if it’s not super glitchy and broken

The tarot cards mostly seem to be the actual ones:
The first one with the woman carrying the jug seems to be "The Star" from Major Arcana, meaning: hope, inspiration, creativity
The one with the cowplant, I'm not sure, there are six hands reaching out for the cake, it could be the six of something, possibly Six of Pentacles, meaning: generosity, charity, giving away--edit: or "Judgment" from Major Arcana, meaning: making a decision, facing consequences, resurrection and rebirth
The one with Grim, "Death" from Major Arcana, obvs, meaning: major changes, end of an era
The one with the person with scarf inside plumbob surrounded by different worlds: "The World" from Major Arcana, meaning: completion, fullness, satisfaction

This is a great breakdown of the cards, and I do think the second card is def Judgement. They did a very good job recreating the imagery in this art style, they would make genuinely good Sims 4 themed tarot cards if they were ever to release a tarot card set lol

On the topic of Cowplant and Judgment (resurrection and rebirth), maybe the milk from cowplants could be used to reincarnate dead elders- as baby versions of themselves?
i am so excited for the kits, totally my vibes especially storybook. but omg... whoever they hired to do the art for the tarot spread is incredible its so prettyyyyy
What I really hope this pack will be about is reincarnation and karma etc. I’m surprised that no one guessed this. The following features would be perfect, I am so excited:
1. Two worlds - ‘Heaven’ and ‘Hell’
2. Karma system that determines where the soul or the ghost goes
3. Grim reaper career won’t just be about reaping souls but about assigned the relevant world to them depending on their karma meter (maybe a fun feature would be for relatives to ‘bribe’ or ‘beg’ for the reaper to send the soul to ‘Heaven’ even if the sim has bad karma
4. Ghost will have to reincarnate back into sim form, and ghost from Heaven will get to choose which household they incarnate in, while ghost from Hell will be sent to a broke household with parents with bad traits etc.
5. Maybe ghosts can complete certain quests while in Hell to ‘purify’ their karma and get access to slightly higher quality households
6. When in CAS you could just pull any ghost from either Heaven or Hell to create your new sim, and their past karma will determine the new sims characteristics, likes and dislikes etc. Maybe the way a sim died will be locked as a permanent fear for their next life, for example if a sim was eaten by cowlpant in past life they will have a permanent ‘fear of cowplant’ moodlet when around them, or even just hate gardening as a whole and be afraid of all plants.
I don’t know if this would be too much for thé Sims game mechanics but this would honestly be the best pack ever if that’s what it was about. Rather than just focusing on death alone, which would get boring very quickly, this would create such an interesting connection between life and death, and finally there would be consequences for your Sims actions, so if you wanted your sim to have a good life you would really have to put the effort in 🤩🤩🤩 also imagine how beautiful could the two contrasting worlds look 😍
this would be super cool but knowing EA they really don’t want to touch anything religious since it’s such a hot topic and there’s so many players of all different backgrounds they won’t want to do a “heaven” or “hell” i think.
hopefully we do get some sort of afterlife world though, but i’m sure if we do it will be very careful and “safe” with elements from multiple religions mashed together into its own “thing” so no one is upset or insulted, and probably no mentions to any sort of god, other than the grim reaper. karma and reincarnation affecting traits is a really cool possibility i hope they’ll be able to implement in a way!
but yeah it’ll be very “winterfest”=christmas and “spirits eve”=halloween so they can avoid backlash by bringing religion into the game.
@@weaselman5722 that's a good point - I didn't even consider that. I suppose they could make it work somehow if they didn't label the worlds as 'heaven' and 'hell'. They could draw inspiration from mythology rather than religion, and the 'hell' world could be more like the underworld from Greek (or whichever) mythology, and 'heaven' could be something like a cross between Sulani and Glimmerbrook, but even more beautiful. I just really love the idea of two contrasting worlds, and both aesthetics are so beautiful in their own way.
Of note about those tarot cards: the designs are based off of the designs for the rider-waite tarot cards and are in order: The Star, Judgement, The Fool, and The World.
The grim reaper card being The Fool is initially a little obscure but the hand holding the flower, the package tied to the end of the scythe and the sun in the background are all indicative - and its a very fitting card choice to go alongside the announcement of a pack named "life and death" because The Fool represents both the beginning and end of journeys.
It's really cool to see how they've interpreted the traditional Rider-Waite designs, you're totally right about Grim being the fool. The Judgement Cowplant (an angel blowing a trumpet to raise the dead) makes a TON of sense with the life and death theme - associations with rebirth and redemption. (A Zombie occult type would be WILD.)
I do tarot as well and I do want to add-
I think the first one is the star card as it represents hope and positivity, and also I second the judgement being the cow plant. I’m not sure what to take of that because it’s about reflection and renewal. About grim being the fool, I’m not so sure. I have the a.e Waite deck and I pull the fool card ALL the time in my readings. I flipped through my deck but nothings really coming to mind, I guess justice is kind of like it. I’m kind of surprised they didn’t relate it to the death card itself (which I’m aware doesn’t directly tie into actual death) but it’s make the most sense. Finally, the last one is most likely the world, which symbolizes cycles.
on a more literal note, the world card could also be about the new world in the expansion pack. maybe its one with 4 neighborhoods OR given that the neighborhoods look like places from previous packs, maybe we aren't getting a new world.
at first I thought grim was the death card, but it being the fool could mean a new life after death? maybe there's reincarnation or smth in this pack. maybe an alternative way of resurrection other than ambrosia/pleading with grim
that’s a good point! maybe grim actually brings life as well and we just never though about it 🫨 (long shot, but who knows lmao)
Here's what I think/hope:
1. Funeral event.
2. Cemetery lot type.
3. Grim reaper career (that could be sooo fun, I don't think it's a career you should be able to get from your phone, I think you should have to meet Grim and get to know him first).
4. The Specter household, not the Maxis ones on the gallery.
5. More things for ghosts to do.
6. Zombies occult type.
7. Zombie invasion events (with an off toggle in the settings of course, and maybe something like the satellite dish in Get to Work that could reduce or increase their frequency).
8. Underworld secret lot/secret world. You could have Grim's house, maybe a bar where you could find ghost sims more easily.
I remember zombies in Sims 3! They stressed me out so much 😂

Although, the ‘free updates’ teases more than one… say they have two planned, one for November and one for December. They could be taking the ‘To be continued…’ into the next roadmap, as like a second half to this quarter?
I feel like it's hinting at life after death being continued. Honestly with the amount of content they usually release each quarter, I doubt there will be a part 2

@@zoet. true, though it would be nice to have an ‘extended’ roadmap mainly because I feel things like generations, life and death, education etc, can be expanded on deeply, but I understand they have time constraints and also need to keep their audiences engaged. Not fully expanding on these areas as much as we want them to, means more packs released in the future even though some of the content could have easily fit well in the first pack of that type (which I am aware this is a big bone of contention and it makes EA look greedy as hell).
However, it’s been so long since Cats and Dogs and My First Pets Stuff that I would be glad to see more pet related content added to the game. If they were to ever make another Game Pack related to Cats and Dogs, I would be happy that we are able to expand gameplay with our pets and wouldn’t be annoyed (now at least as it’s been a while) that they released something they could have been added into the original one (like adding in a few rabbit hole part time careers like Groomers or Dog Walkers/pet sitters, or even something like Animal Fostering - you could be the one taking the animals to the other sims houses when they adopt the pets).

i feel like the life and death kit may have something to do with rebirth maybe having a ghost sim be able to reset from birth at the well to reset them to a newborn or an infant with all the traits locked in unless you use full edit mode, it would add new interesting things to the game and also there would probably be different interactions as a infant, maybe you could develop skills faster or something too especially skills you had maxed out before the rebirth, idk why but now im like really into this idea and considering the one tarot card appeared to be a sim going into the wishing well i really want them to expand on that and explore. it could also add something for people doing the hero sim challange to do so that they may have another trait to gain a reborn trait or something like that

I agree, Kayla wasn’t dramatic about it at all. Like, a tweet is the absolute least they could do, and they didn’t even do that. To me it’s very weird honestly. Why miss an opportunity to celebrate your game/brand/franchise with fans and the press and miss out on the opportunity to build hype for upcoming releases? They overlooked this as a free publicity opportunity, what a shame.
My witchy tarot heart is so happy right now! Ok - one really cute detail? The card „the star“ in tarot stands for creativity. Its the ultimate artists card. This card teasing an artist studio is very thoughtful and I love this detail so much! Also the card „the death“ in tarot means change. On this card there are classically butterflies as a symbol of transition. I love, that there are butterflies on this „Death“ card too! I love this so much! 🤩
I'm thinking: ghost rework, graveyards (HOPEFULLY), possibly re-adding zombies as another short-term occult like plantsims, probably going to be a bunch of spooky Victorian-esk cas items and a new spooky more rundown world like vampires and werewolves ??
My Wishlist:
- World that's half earth side and half afterlife. They're connected by a bridge/portal.
- Earth side of world has funeral home & cemetery lots
- Afterlife side of world is themed like the afterlife in Coco
- Funeral event type
- New Halloween costumes
- Summoning via Ouija, witchcraft, etc.
- Fortune telling/tarot (this tells you about your life, thus tying in the life part of the title)
- New death scenarios of course
- Dia De Los Muertos holiday
- Skeleton people occult (again like Coco style)

Yep! I mean, you already have the skeleton thing from Jungle Adventures, but it would be insanely cool to see them as a real life state. Heck, maybe grim reaper IS a new life state... I'd not mind seeing the return of mummies either, honestly. And zombies for sure!
I mean, this IS The Sims 4, so most of our wishes will surely be left unfulfilled, or only shallowly so, but a gal can dream!
This sounds great. I'd add more stuff for elders related to their age (mobility issues, unique quirks, sheltered accomodation etc). But I don't think EA will have put this much depth into it, sadly.

I need the new world to be called "The Underwhere and Overthere" honestly.
My biggest wish for this is an update to what happens to dependents when the last/only teen or older sim dies. Right now, if you have a single parent household(or pet parent) of a child or younger and the parent dies, the child or younger is just deleted. Even if the other parent is alive in another household and you choose continue with another household on the game over screen. What I would like to see is either an option to place the dependents with another household or for them to be placed in the adoption menu. I know there are mods for this, but I don’t use them and console can’t!
This is really cool and I hope this is something we could get!
Grim career would be awesome!!! And I hope we get funeral events and a cemetery lot type.
I really, really want the cemetery lot type and the ability to manage graves, especially for Sims who die off of their home lots.

My Ideas:
• Reaper Rewards HAS to be something to do with you killing sims instead of a daily log-in event. I mean, they did say to "help out Grim"
• The tarot card you thought had new environment types had what looked like the house from Glimmerbrook, Sulani, The Moon (Sixam) (or stranger ville like you said!) and the Snowy Escape world - All famously hated packs (bad builds in spell caster world, Mermaids and aliens having very little gameplay, not sure about snowy escape as I dont have it haha) but could just be to show the diverse life of sims
Hopefully the 'new updates' doesnt just mean base game updates - but updates to pack content too! (the LIFE of life and death)
• "To be continued" means the continuation of a sims life after death - because there are almost no point in ghosts at the moment
Personally I hope they add more life stage specific gameplay (shorter teens and general gameplay). I think it could be realistic considering it's LIFE and death
• The Grim Reaper career from the slides you shown are almost Definitely going to be added to the game I didn't notice that!
• Maybe Zombies (my only assumption being the sims 3) but they only happen because of a specific new death type
And then what most people are saying - ghost overhaul, cemeteries, etc
My Biggest fear is the pack content will have a similar style to Realm Of Magic or Crystal Creations because those are just not my personal style of build. But they didnt design the pack specifically for me, so I dont really mind.
the 'life' element + the tarot cards seem possibly linked to me, I read tarot (not very well) as a hobby, and the cards essentially play out the story of life, both within the deck and within the individual cards you draw for a reading. idk if that makes sense but basically, tarot is all about life!
So, because I'm a Persona fan, I recognise the designs on those tarot cards as ACTUAL tarot card designs altered to be sims-themed:
1 - XVII. The Star -> Artist Studio Kit & Storybook Nursery Kit
2 - XV. The Devil / XX. Judgement -> Reaper's Rewards Event
3 - XIII. Death / 0. The Fool -> Life and Death Expansion Pack
4 - XXI. The World -> And Free Updates!

oh god the vampire setting in the free update cards, please! i really do hope they add more in forgotten hollow or even refresh the vampire pack. I know that world is so empty but it has my most favorite atmosphere.
Same, I love Forgotten Hollow, I’d like to have a couple of community lots there plus some extra residential space, it’s just so small, but I love the whole vibe!
They have a spellcaster realm, I'm wondering if this new expansion pack will have a GHOST REALM, like where you can visit sims that have passed on or help ghosts with the grim career (like an active career?) as far as other hints the first card in tarot is "The Star" which to simplify represents hope and inspiration. (but if taken literally, maybe we will get astrological signs in cas? maybe astrology/psychic career or skill?) not sure what card the cowplant represents, possibly judgement? The 3rd card is clearly "Death" which actually symbolizes rebirth. The 4th card is "The World" and like I said I am hoping for a cool ghost realm. That's really all I can personally speculate right now, feel free to comment and piggyback!

I don't play sims, but I think a whole, fleshed out afterlife is in store. Life, death, and life beyond death (to be continued, if you will). the first tarot card shows someone pouring out a small jug of water to jump into a bottomless well. this is like dying and leaving behind a finite life to go to infinity. the second card reminds me of a cult that worships death, potentially death by cowplant gives you special privileges and powers in the afterlife. the butterflies in the third card reinforce the idea of transformation and afterlife (caterpillars in some ways "die" in the chrysalis), the flower might be an orchid (?). last card symbolizes rebirth as well with the four landscapes likely being different afterlife options. death will be announced by Halloween. afterlife will be announced by new year
I think to be continued means that in the expansion pack ghosts will be able to have more interactions or a ghost world like sixam for aliens - hopefully - also the life part may mean life after death so ghost having more things specifically for them to do
The "to be continued" part REALLY makes me think there might be some sort of ghost-focused world as a play on the afterlife or something, which would be a world focused on LIFE and DEATH. And with it being an expansion pack, I think a new world is definitely a possibility. And I think there might be some sort of funeral event because they are often called "celebrations of life"

The Roadmap is to be continued. The quarter ends in December, while the roadmap only extends until October 31.
You can definitely read into the cards; I believe they were designed with intentional hints. Also, I would love to have a graveyard in the game where we can bury our sims and visit them and even bring them flowers.
As a witchy girl those tarot cards just seem like tarot cards made with sim themes. First one is the star forsure, not 100% sure what the cow plant one is supposed to be. Grim one is probably death card, and last one is definitely the world card. Which would explain why they used the different worlds of the sims in the background. I’m so excited to see what this pack has!!

The star card is the clearest - but it also kind of reminds me of the fountain of life, so I wonder if there might be something like that. There's only the one jug that she's pouring on land (instead of the two standard). Maybe some sort of renewal thing.

I kinda picture an Underworld that looks like The NetherRealm does in Mortal Kombat, with Grimm's Castle looking like Shinnok's Castle. If you know anything about Mortal Kombat, then you know the idea. I can see Grimm in a Gothic Throne Room , sitting on a Throne that looks like the one in Game of Thrones . Idk, it's just an idea.

There's a sims creator who focuses heavily on Sims 1 content who is obsessed with the Mashuga family from Sims 1. One of the members of the family is a psychic hotline worker. I hope they bring her back, that would be hilarious.

I think that we might get an announcement for the next sims game from the "to be continued" and the Reaper rewards, the requirements are different death types.
Gosh, I kind of want a death world, that plays more into the good ghost/bad ghost type thing. Like in Halloween Town or something. With Life I'd like more realistic illness and consequences to ignoring those illnesses. I've got mods, a lot of them, but to have them as just part of the game would be nice.

Damn. Hitting me in the feels. The two kits on September 19th, my Mom's birthday. She is the whole reason I love the Sims. Then the expansion pack on Halloween. Her favorite holiday and also the day ALS claimed her life. 😔 She loved the Grim Reaper too. Wanted someone to originally dress up as him for her funeral and just point at people. 😅 EA obviously doesn't know the slightest about my Mom but I feel they're honoring her in some way. 😭

im predicting an aspiration overhaul overhaul with the pack, giving your sims a “life long goal” that rewards you for completing it while alive or lets you come back a some form of overhauled ghost type if you don’t complete it, that way it’s both life and death yk?

Add a Grin Reaper occult type that you could be by having Grim teach you or by having a child with Grim. Or by making one in CAS but that's boring. They definitely won't do this, but imagine if they did.

i wonder if the life aspect of the expansion will include like a new aspiration dedicated to exploring different things you can do with the game. like if they had an aspiration to host a specific amount of social events, visit all sorts of different lots, and reach certain levels in some skills!
Ooh, I actually have some interesting information for you! Those designs are in fact real tarot cards, in this order; The Star, Judgement, Death and The World. Each of these cards are upright and have meanings based on that position!
The Star: Loss, Abandonment, Hope
Judgement: Renewal, Outcome, Change in Position
Death: The end, Destruction, Corruption
The World: Success, Change of Place, Emigration

"To Be Continued" Sounds like the afterlife. I feel like they are going to focus on ghosts, funerals, graveyards, and the afterlife maybe. Maybe there will be a new world where only dead sims can live??
Maybe something like the Magic Realm. I would prefer a world rather than a secret lot but more occult stuff I always like.

In tarot, the Death card symbolizes a coming end, yes, but it also symbolizes rebirth and new beginnings. That could be the relation with the tarot theming, the death theme, and "to be continued"
You don't think that they're gonna announce that they've been working on ts5 do you? That would explain why theyre cracking down on bug fixes. Leaving the game in the best state it can be in so people will have nostalgia for it. Very interesting
like lil simsie said we can do what vampire and witches do have a skill set for ghosts,for ghosts the higher level they are the more they can interact with the world,Ie: level 1breaking stuff and level 5 haunting people
I love the idea of the whole tarot intro, we NEED more 'paranormal' themed things so I'm super excited for especially the 'life and death' expansion pack, excited to see what it's about!
I think the " Free Updates " Tarot card means exactly that, each of those locations in the background (or even more) would get an update with the new life and death mechanic i think will be in the expansion pack. The siluette in the middle of the card looks to be floating in a spiral of wind so might have to do something with Spirits and how they die in those locations maybe?

That's a super cool idea! I was just thinking on those and realized that both Forgotton Hollow and Mt. Komorebi have graveyards in the environment somewhere, Sulani might have something that I'm just not remembering. But the idea that when sims die in those locations they maybe have a different style or death animation would be so cool.
For Mt. Komorebi they could focus on Asian death traditions like tomb sweeping, lanterns, temples, prayers, offerings, etc. Sulani could focus more on Polynesian/native death traditions and things like how people come back as spirits or animals. Not sure how you'd tie in Strangerville or Vampires to that though.
@@jspihlman What i'm hoping is something zombie themed for those because apart from Stangerville posessions we don't really have zombies in Sims 4 and i'm kinda missing them from the game. So a Vampire somehow creating zombies maybe as servants would be a great touch. But a new zombie occult type would be even better :D

Can you imagine getting a Death town? Like in Book of Life or Coco (it's the images that come to mind) - so inspired by Mexico and the culture. It would basically be afterlife... that would be pretty cool.
I would LOVE some actual cemetaries, maybe a mortician career and/or a reaper freelance one, as well as possibly some... On-property family things. Like, if you want to have a family graveyard that you don't have to completely improvise on just to make it look good.
I have some thoughts. Since the pack mentions "after-death," it could be an Egyptian themed world/pack because Egyptians were obsessed with the after-life. Also, the tarot card with the floating person and ribbon-looking-thing could be representative of a new occult type and the way the sims transform into their occult types

My first thought that wasn’t overly obvious with the hot coco and candle was a hint that we’re getting more winter holiday stuff in the update probably in November or December. Also maybe the Greek mythology could be some type of “underworld” like in Hercules for the life and death ep. I might be reading into that idea tho lol

Given that they said “take a look into life… and beyond” makes me wonder if the world we might be getting for the expansion pack is some type of “afterlife” word or a world specifically for ghost sims?
Maybe pleading with grim for a loved one could have more negative consequences if you fail, like both sims die or he gives you one back but the one who pleaded takes their place and dies.
I think the cards are really more related to tarot major arcana! the first one looks a lot like The Star, the second one looks like Death, cuz of the hands, and the grim reaper one looks like The Devil or Justice, while the last one looks like The World. maybe you can find more hints about each one diggin deeper in the cards meaning.
I’ve been thinking about this pack and announcement since it came out ngl. Imagine you’re like 5 generations deep in your legacy and you get a notification that your great aunt passed and left your sim money. That could be a really cool addition to life or death as a concept, selling the assets and giving family members cuts based on friendship or even a will-based game function.
To be continued also stayed in my mind. Not to start a conspiracy or raise false hopes, but that kind of sounds like a tagline aimed more at the Sims franchise than the sims 4 itself. I know they didn’t do much for the 10th anniversary but what if the silence is more associated with a Sims 5 release date upcoming? maybe a long shot…. Curious if anyone else was as stuck on “To be continued”

Maybe the "life" part refers to life after death and gives the ghosts more attention like ghost pregnancies and such. That would combine life and death and it would explain the "to be continued".

The "to be continued..." I'm guessing refers to an afterlife. And I'm putting my wild guess on the world for the pack to be an afterlife setting for ghosts.

I think a graveyard lot type could potentially fit really well with the concept of the upcoming expansion pack. And it would be really useful for those who have many generations of passed sims to have a lot type where they can bury all their sims. It would be nice if they added some new ways for sims to interact with the graves of their loved ones
For fun I tried to look up what tarot cards matched with the ones in the video! :D
First, for nursery and art kits: The Star.
Second, reaper's rewards: Judgement.
Third, life and death kit, was actually harder. The others matched near perfectly with a classic pose and layout, but I couldn't find one that matched as well as the others. Despite that, the logical conclusion is of course: Death.
Fourth, more free updates: The World.
Oversimplified meanings, only going by upright:
The Star = Hope, faith, rejuvenation.
Judgement = Reflection, reckoning, awakening.
Death = End of a cycle, beginnings, change.
The World = Fulfillment, harmony, completion.
I doubt these will tell us anything of what's to come, but it's fun and maybe they will since they clearly chose specific cards!
Life aspects that would be cool:
- water births
- pregnancy exercises
- new interactions with pregnant sims and new borns
Other ideas for “death side”
- preparing for death
- being reborn (baby sim gets the traits of the dead sim and randomly remembers stuff/people)
Here's what i think abt b4 I watched Simsie video. Horoscope is prob back for base game, the Free Update card seems to have 4 diff places at each corner, I think its Mt. Komorebi, Sulani, Glimmerbrook and Strangerville perhaps? Maybe that update is related to the world? And the expansion title Life and Death, the Life sounds like a dead person coming back alive to me, perhaps zombies?? But that's just what i thinking.. cuz tarot cards kind of giving the occult vibe. And im curious abt the reward event, it's cowplant with its cake tongue out and there's hands that want to grab it, weird .. so the event is related with cowplant? Idk, I think it's fun to hear everyone opinions

I low key hope the first card of the woman stepping into water is hinting there will be a 'fountain of youth' using similar mechanics of the wishing well and the youth potion. Like it can have negative effects or it can work as you wanted. (maybe becoming a baby by accident, or becoming super old, or just getting a negative moodlet idk)
I'm thinking "Life" could be necromancy. Especially if there is a cemetary lot type because then you could have a sim ressurect dead sims and maybe then the fountain is like you can choose what age they come back as???
And/or they come back as zombies 🤔
The life aspect could be a New Event thing like a “Celebration of Life” event or something like that. There may even be a Floor Action that lets you sit down on the floor outside that’s called “appreciate Life”
it's definitely some sort of funeral traditions and it makes me think about día de los muertos celebrations in mexico - which is kinda funny because we just got a mexico/latinamerica-esque world lol. the release date being october 31st just makes more sense as well, día de los muertos is typically celebrated in the first days of november!
the life part could be elder related, and maybe the base game updates might include an elder refresh/overhaul, just as the infants update right before growing together. i feel many players have asked so much for more elder stuff in the game, seems like this is the perfect opportunity to expand on that!

That free updates tarot card is the world card in tarot, so it makes sense that all the places in the sims world are pictured, but not sure what there would be to read into that card other than perhaps a new part of the world is coming.
I don't know why but I'm like 99% confident the pack will add the ability to have ghost babies, it would fit so well
