Kayla, try not to worry about not sharing the wedding details. (Easier said then done). Sharing details can sometimes be dangerous. I'm just happy you're going to have a wedding wedding! Best of luck during the process coming up to it❤
She's always been so careful about the info she shares in her videos, and even then people have showed up at her previous apartments before. So I understand her hesitancy with sharing wedding details.

Don't be nervous about dress shopping. When I went with my daughter it was lovely. Very private. Also I think for safety I suggest making a little montage of what you feel comfortable sharing after the wedding. Have fun planning!😊
I love the light in that build and the teal wall in the kitchen works so well with the industrial kitchen set.
When I went wedding dress shopping the one thing I was convinced I didn’t want was a satin dress, and that is exactly what I ended up with 😂 it’s good to have ideas but open to change lol, hope it goes well!
Hi Kayla! make sure you keep your mind open with dresses.. I could not get on board with any of the "wedding" dresses because I just felt so out of place in them. I ended up getting a dress from modcloth that was not a wedding dress, so it was significantly cheaper and it fit my vibe and comfort levels a lot more. Make sure that you are shopping for what you like and not what you think everyone else likes :)

Hoping dress shopping went well! Probably too late for this, but don't be afraid to be honest with the stylist at the salon. I was feeling really anxious about shopping for my own dress and letting my stylist know ahead of time helped so much. A lot of stylists will absolutely meet you where you're at!

I'm going to shop for a wedding dress soon too and honestly same. I don't want an expensive one, but I'm worried if the only one that will look good on me will be expensive.
I know a lot of people don't own all the packs. But don't think it's 'bad' to use so many packs. Because a lot people do own most or all the packs and I think there is a whole group (including me) who prefer builds with all the packs (or at least a lot) used. I have a hard time finding these builds on the galley since the search system is so weird (or maybe I don't know how to search for more than one thing?)
Your PC problem sounds like a heat issue, most likely the heat sink. Sometimes all you need is to clean the computer of dust or reseat the heatsink with gel, and sometimes it's a little more expensive. Either way, get your computer looked at sooner rather than later, because when the heatsink fails completely it'll take a lot of other parts with it.

I have a bathroom like that😂 you have to walk through not one BUT TWO bedrooms to get to the bathroom- or walk through the kitchen, through the laundry room and into the bathroom lol
So, I have 0 privacy. My roommate is the first bedroom, I’m the one between the bedroom and the bathroom. My son is in a bedroom on the other side of the house. He used to have my room but he’s 12& started locking himself in the bathroom with his iPad or cellphone for an hour at a time (Iykyk) so we switched bc i felt he needed the privacy for healthy development and I got GI issues. Either shit or get off the pot😂

Kayla, I struggle with self confidence issues myself, I understand how you feel about your wedding dress. Fashion has become a source of comfort for me. All I can say is this, if it doesn’t make you happy when you put it on - it’s not the right dress for you. When a garment is right, it speakers louder than the internal monologue :) - good luck!
A good tip I found when i was scared of wearing something outside that I liked but wasn't sure what people would think, is that personally when i walk in the street even if I see someone that's dress in a way that i dont necessarily love I'm gonna have forgotten about them 15 seconds later! So it was easy going out and thinking well if they dont like it they wont even remember it so! (I mean it doesn't really work for a wedding but😅)

GOOD! Trust me, people will not remember! And if they do its more often than not it’s because they liked your outfit! Wear what makes you happy!
Totally agree that it's not the right dress if it doesn't make you happy when you put it on! And the other side of that coin is that finding the right dress doesn't necessarily involve a dramatic eureka moment for everyone. In my case, I had tried on a few dresses at several shops rather quickly, then just happened to realize that I was hanging out in one chatting with the shop employees about the little adjustments I would probably want to make to fit my vision. My mom pointed out that it almost seemed like I didn't want to take that dress off, and she was right - I was just happy in it! I tried on more dresses after that one, and I kept finding myself comparing them to it, and I ended up going back for it because I just kind of knew deep down that I was drawn to it. And after those little alterations I had envisioned, it was absolutely perfect!

There really is something about this lot that lends itself so well to industrial builds, I also have a converted factory home there in one of my games. It just feels right

It took my sister two stores before she found her dress, and it wasn't my first pick, but it made her happy! I hope whenever you do find your dress, it's a wonderful experience.

One of the bridal stores I shopped for a wedding dress at was a renovated factory. The place was massive and it ended up being one of the worst experiences I had while shopping, compared to the smaller bridal boutiques.
I actually also used to turn my camera away from my woohooing sims
But I did it I kid you not to give my sims privacy
And at some point it shifted to a good luck charm in getting my sims to be eating for two
Some friends of my family moved into a renovated fin-de-siècle (1890/1900) factory building when I was little. It had a giant two-story living room with the kids' rooms, bathroom and kitchen on the ground floor and kind of a maisonette corridor going up to the middle level, with bathroom and parents' room. And the best thing: They had SWINGS hanging from the ceiling for us kids. It felt like an urban fairytale.
I love the finished build, but I had to stop watching this speed build because it was making me dizzy and queasy. Easily could have cut some of the process out so that it wasn't on quadruple speed. 🤢
I’d suggest if you do want to share bigger wedding details to save it until after your wedding! Like ofc we want to hear the details, we know it’ll be beautiful, but your, your partner, and yalls family/friends safety comes first so please wait. While I don’t want to believe anyone would be set out to hurt y’all, it can be true and even if some fans didn’t want to do harm it would still be weird as hell to have strangers show up and possibly cause a scene. But please afterward tell us all the details 😂

Everyone talking about wedding details, I want to know...
Do you have a Nvidia Graphics Card? I've having the same issues since I installed HF2 like, a month and something ago x.x So maybe is a drivers issue of some sort? idk, I don0t know what else to do at this point ngl.
I have a nividia graphics card and switched out a hard drive about a month and some change ago.
My computer freezes (hard locks). It helped to disable two services "windows search" (not directly related to the search bar) and "superfetch" (not called that anymore but that's what it was called in the past), they're both indexing services.
It helped, but I still get issues when I'm offline and playing the sims and one drive is trying to sync. If I pause one drive it helps a lot, but doesn't completely fix it.
Anyway, I'm going to reload my PC at some point to see if it's got something to do with name-brand drivers/bloat ware. Bc my tech friend installed a bunch of that stuff when he installed the new hard drive. Im waiting because I want to run chkdsk some more to make sure my hard drive isn't dyung even though this happened with 2 separate drives.
Not sure if it's my motherboard crashing, drivers, or what. But I don't think it's nvidia drivers because I reverted them when troubleshooting.
I would love to see Kayla attempt to recreate this building “before” the renovation! Awesome build!

I live in a studio apartment, but there's a wall that blocks off the bedroom a little bit. there's a door way to the bedroom but no door. The only bathroom is also in the bedroom. It is perfectly normal for guest to go through your bedroom to get to the bathroom lol 😅

I m back from seeing the engagement photos and, Gods, are they cute 😭 the shoot is beautiful (shoutout to the 3rd one, my favorite 🤩)
When she was talking about the yoga being a death trap omg it reminded me of a spa build I did that has a yoga rooftop garden and after building it so many sims in my game died and I didn't know why til a few months later when I was sawing someone the build and found so many urns of sims that had died from freezing to death... 😅

Ngl, I love watching your videos as noise to fall asleep to but every time I looked over I was just absolutely in LOVE with this build - I love the bold, vivid color palette choices for each room! I also squealed when I saw you add the flag on the wall in the girl's bedroom, such a beautiful touch
I understand confidence issues. One thing you don’t have to feel unconfident about though is the spilled. It’s honestly gorgeous. I think the primary bedroom is one of the most beautiful bedrooms you have ever made. Really this was a really great build.

I do not struggle with confidence issues but I also think shopping for clothing is the worst thing on earth... Like literally! So I get it too. But I'm 55, almost got married in my mid 20s but had my best friend shake me (literally) and say really? What are you thinking he's a loser lol. Yeah harsh but also correct. So here I am mid 50s never been married and suspect I never will.
My advice find the most comfortable dress that makes you feel beautiful. Then you will be beautiful! (not hard since you're a very pretty young woman anyway) be comfortable and the radiance will follow!

I hope you find the perfect wedding dress! I got married In Cambride, MA and spent my honeymoon it Salem, MA, the went back for 1 year anniversary. Because we figured Mass will not take away our marrige (gay). of course it was on Halloween. Salem has the biggest Halloween festival ever. Flew from Chicago to Boston just to get married lol.
My silly pet peeve is people using those mosquito windows and having them opening inward. Living in the PNW, I'm like THE RAIN IS GOING TO GET IN!!! XD
Rolling in once again with my best friend and her covid-era wedding.
They had the ceremony at a park with a JOP (state official who makes marriages legal) and a few family/friends, like 10 people total. But by pure coincidence and good luck, there was a random other person at the park who was a photographer and ended up giving them a short, free wedding photoshoot after the ceremony and sent the pictures over later on. It was such a nice thing to just randomly stumble across, instead of only having the cell phone pics/videos.
