Hello! Tiny Glade devs here 👋 Thank you so much for checking out the demo! I grinned so wide when you discovered the timelapse :D (seems like there is a bug with the speed control though 👀). Anyhoo, it was lovely seeing you play and discover various elements. We took some notes on what to tweak and improve. Thanks again! Have a lovely day 💚
Dungeon Alchemist is a great vtt map maker for just the cost of the "game" but this looks a lot more intuitive. I hope they open up the inside of the buildings to be built and furnished, as well.
Was thinking that too. The creator is in the comments. I mentioned to them that having an xray mode for top down would easily make this a great map creator
The thoughts I had: - Building structures for my TTRPG world, or stories. - A civ game like Roman Empire and Empire Earth where building is not constrained to a boring grid. - Building scenes that could be imported into an animation application
Generative building games is such a underutilized genre, and that kinda sucks. Its hard to find building games that only exists just to showcase how cool and fun it is
Of course trains! What is a Diorama without trains? It's the origin of all Diorama's! It started with trains, then came the stations, then the terrain, and tunnels, and at last came the cute little figurines and props, to fill it up. So... Trains! 😜
It's games like this that I and many other artists simply ADORE using to fiddle around and get inspiration for our fantasy locations. Be it in art or writing, it's a wondrous visual aid! Plus it just feels great to support another creator in their own artistic endeavor! Truly, we are all just little beasts making pretty things!
What I absolutely love about this game is also the sound. Heavily underrated especially for people who love ASMR. The sound of building the walls is so cool
I love this, especially the way the ivy slowly grows up the walls after they are placed. it would be great to have free building but also something like foundation so I get to use my toy after ive made it.
this looks like a great game for building environments for artists. If the devs make a freeform camera then you could easily go into your little town or city and take screenshots to reference for drawing. I can see this being super helpful for tabletop DMs as well
This looks really awesome. I'm the type of player that would love if this building system was attached to something more "game" like but I'm certain a lot of people will love this this entirely because there is no pressure or restrictions holding them back from just chilling and being creative. Hope it does well and inspires other devs to implement similar intuitive and freeform building systems
Can't wait for this game great demo of it here! The logical thinking and game design of the devs really shines in how great the manipulation of building materials just flows and isn't frustrating! You just move stuff around and it works! I think a goal of the game other than building something awesome is finding all the cool interesting ways you can get the game to create things!
i love this game so much so far i just wish there was a feature to change the windows by yourself and the deco by the windows and doors cant wait for the full version!
Love this one Raptor... the sound gets me of the bricks and ground... cant wait to get into it... wow so many lekker games out there from small devs.... happy to support them
Okay real shit, one Tiny Glade is awesome. And 2, I really reccomend a game called “Dystopika” it’s basically City Skylines, but with no management and pure building customization about cyberpunk cities. It’s so cute and fun, and it has flying cars and neon bill boards, hologram billboards, it’s awesome. It’s on steam and I recently played it, really fun and simple!!
Ive been watching this game with a lot of anticipation because of the possibilities with DnD. Being able to make pretty and quaint little towns and take very beautiful picture will be huge.
Other than a few roof and wall styles, I'd love thatch and having a railing on a balcony other than crenelations, the biggest thing the game is missing is having little villagers walking around or cleaning up. Actually I'd like to make wooden structures too, like docks and sheds... And proper gardens or shrubbery. Guess there's a lot I'd like to see added.
I enjoyed the demo more than I expected. I can't wait to see all the different objects and buildings in the final game. Now I can make a Tears of the Kingdom style castle town...or a maybe a dark Raya Lucaria Academy
It would be great if you could eventually export the buildings and/or landscapes for 3D printing. This would be way more enjoyable and approachable to use over boring and difficult to learn 3D modeling software.
Looking forward to it on my wishlist actually. Sometimes, you just need that nice little chill game that allows you to build with no pressure but still well built and made.
Wiggly walls as i call them take less bricks because a strait wall has to be built 3 times as wide with interlicking janga structure to give it the strength to stay upright. But a wiggly wall only needs to be 1 brick wide to get the structure nessesary to stay balanced.. however a thick wiggly wall has better esthetic. So they are usually still build wide usuing more bricks than a stait wall
I would love to see people just roaming around living their lives. Taking care of the sheep, chopping wood, washing & hanging their laundry. We concentrate on the building all the buildings in a village & then the people and/or animals just randomly generating just going about their day.😊
I mean, if it remembers the entire building process as a timelapse, surely you can also go back all the way to the start? It's not like it's a rendered movie of a timelapse: You can still move the camera. So the game must remember all that changing of states.
the title and thumbnail had me thinking you were about to out an AI-shlock game. Pleasantly surprised that it's just showcasing a nice chill builder game.
Some DnD masters are about to up their game to some serious level with this! Together with Canvas of Kings, I can foresee a golden age of chill design games.
reminds me very much of townscaper, in a good way. Not a game i'd play only because i don't have the creativity to build cool little cities etc but absolutely enthralled watching others play and build and see their process.
Imagine if they make it so you can publish your builds and there is a procedurally generated map where people's public builds will just get inserted into that world. so you have a world of people's builds.
The tech behind this must be pretty impressive! Imagine if it could do interiors and was able to simplify everything to export cleanly into something like blender for fine tuning or heck what if this was part of a game creation engine? I mean if we want to go crazy with it what if it had AI taking in account world resources and paths between buildings and what not to auto designate and decorate specific buildings like a smith a mine or lumber yard a trade hub on the water an inn etc
This looks promising. Definitely Indie devs are what is keeping the gaming community alive. AAA games just have no heart and care for the community, just all about money.
I've been keeping an eye on this. I saw your series on Foundation years ago and it inspired me to buy the game. It seemed similar to Banished, another great village builder I enjoyed, and I love the organic layout vs the square grid found in many games. Keep showcasing interesting games liek this, thank you!
Omg - I just downloaded the demo and it was so much fun! It was difficult to take a screenshot of it though, which was sad, because my tiny village was so cute!
If you add the wild plants/bushes onto the buildings (like on top of the flat roof parts) do they turn into potted plants? That would be awesome to see! I would love to see someone make either an Australian house (stereotypical outback or coastal - I don't mind!), an old Korean house like in the period K-dramas or maybe even the Roman baths!

Will there be options for taking images or importing out of the game for table top rpgs?
I can't wait for this. Would love to see something like this running in the background as a wallpaper when not building.
I never thought I’d be hyped for the release of a demo. You guys have made something seriously impressive!
this looks SO good! its the ultimate cozy builder
This really eventually needs a VR mode.
This game has ME worried because it hasn't even released yet and I already have 200 hours in the demo 😭
a first person mode to allow you to walk around the buildings you just made would be fantastic!
There is a greyed-out button to do that, suggesting it'll be in the full game
except you're a sheep
It's in the current demo :)
Manor lords!
go into photo mode select the camera on the stick and then the camera with legs. yw
What I see this as is a great tool for DM/GM for making important buildings and ruins and give the players a visual representation on what they see.
That is exactly what I want this game for. I have my own setting I am creating and I think this will help me layout building for it perfectly.
Dungeon Alchemist is a great vtt map maker for just the cost of the "game" but this looks a lot more intuitive.
I hope they open up the inside of the buildings to be built and furnished, as well.

I wish Genshin would do this for its Serenitea Pot :')
Imagine having this in any city builder. Real customization of specific parts of a structure, and terraforming. Makes me wish I was a dev
yeah thats what i thouht too! what if it expanded in to a Tiny Town. kinda a simcity lite but keeping it small and cute.
I've had this exact same idea after watching this and townscaper
Lands of Koastalia is a game that I've been interested in that seems to have this concept
@@florpzorp7333 thanks for the tip, seems really cute (:
I recommend checking your local library for online learning resources, for free to use dev software like Blender or Godot :)
Imagine if you could 3D print your finished construction. That would be cool!
The thoughts I had:
- Building structures for my TTRPG world, or stories.
- A civ game like Roman Empire and Empire Earth where building is not constrained to a boring grid.
- Building scenes that could be imported into an animation application
For the second game you might want to check out Memoriapolis
Empire Earth mentioned. Respect
I want sheep POV. Let me be Sheep Lord and walk my hooves across my own halls.
Based?
@@ДушманКакдела Based beyond belief. Sheep Lord is peak. Although, I would not be adverse to adding goats. And a castle cat.
@@adrianbaker3136 based? Based on what?
@@ДушманКакдела oh my bad, I assumed you were a Manor Lords player and you were commending this idea based on a feature in that game.
@adrianbaker3136 Yeah what's it based on? Based? Based on what?
I'd pay 200 dollars to have this as a blender addon. or even just to legally be able to export to blender and use the models in games. very nice.
Generative building games is such a underutilized genre, and that kinda sucks. Its hard to find building games that only exists just to showcase how cool and fun it is
🥇When they add some nice animated NPC's, animals, trains? etc. It would be a perfect Diorama making simulator. 👍
trains!
Trains???

Yes some nice period, medieval trains...yk? Wedding trains like a long cape/gown!

100% this. I currently build all my references in blender so having a game where I might be able to plan them out much faster is so appealing.
What I absolutely love about this game is also the sound. Heavily underrated especially for people who love ASMR. The sound of building the walls is so cool
I love building games and this has a very unique mechanic. The way things merge together is great, and it looks like everything just works. Very cozy.
Raptor, I really appreciate you bringing attention to these great little games. Great video as always. Looking forward to the stream.

This small castle you've made inspired me to build something similiar in Minecraft. Thanks man!
0:00 this is the best grass and foliage material I've ever seen. I love how it goes from yellow to blue and is pretty.

15:46 I think it's cause the wall isnt tall enough for a door
Less of a game and more of a land and structure designer engin. I can see artist using this more then anyone. Looks good
So it's a game....
i love EVERYTHING the townscape dev has made past and present
i love this game so much so far i just wish there was a feature to change the windows by yourself and the deco by the windows and doors cant wait for the full version!

This game is going to get me back into physical diorama building. I need to make it here, then recreate it irl.
It's sure looks like Veliki tabor, Stari grad Dubovac, Stara susica..among the others.. Maybe Croatia is your next holiday destination😊
its so beautiful and the sounds are so satisfying! looking so forward to downloading this when i get home!
Nobody I'd rather watch explore this type of game than Raptor.
Spent a couple of hours in the demo. Such a cozy, chilled out experience.

the moment Tiny Glade gets out of demo mode, and adds that water feature..
hoo boi.

this system would also be great if it was implemented in startegy games like stronghold where you could build castles and walls however you want

Interesting, but what is the goal here with this game? Is it just building stuff and then…?
@@crackerbarrel6965 it’s like building models. No other goal. Just relaxing. Like doodling.
I would love to see people just roaming around living their lives. Taking care of the sheep, chopping wood, washing & hanging their laundry. We concentrate on the building all the buildings in a village & then the people and/or animals just randomly generating just going about their day.😊
I hope there will be like villagers and knights that you can able to control them like just standing, idle, sitting, farming etc.
Definitely need a way to export structures to use them in things like Unity or UE5 for game dev, or CAD programs for 3d printing
I'd love to see little townspeople start wandering round and using the structures lol

This dev needs to make a god game.
Getting this for me and my gf who doesn't really game but is an architect by training. thx
This is literally my dream game! 🥰 I can't wait for it to come out.
architect software design should be like this game. they will be working realtime and fun
Absolutely love watching what people create with this ❤️🥰😍
Its a very nice and well executed concept, but i dont see any element that could allow it to be classifed as a "game".
I'm sorry, but I'm going to build as many panel houses here as possible.
The future lies behind multi-storey residential walls
TY for showing me this game. Wishlist-ed.
Hmm the fact that you can see where the doors line up make me think they will add interiors . Be nice if they add people and make it like the sims
Are the buildings stackable? And can you put a path on top of a flat roofed building?
how cool would it be to be able to export this as a .STL and 3D print at any scale
we are at octuple A games already
damn, they really do be innovating
how big is the build area, or map if you will? Can I build a whole town?
Thank you for your very positive vibes!~ ♥
I'm very excited for this game LOVE BUILDING CASTLES 🏰

Could totally use this for D&D
What’s the most Euro Trucker-like train game?
Child of Light
I hope they add more creatures like dragons so I can build a dragon mountain scape
Awesome work!!On my list now men 😂
Thank you for showing us the demo! I've had my eye on this game for a bit now.
Hello Raptor, is this game gonna be just a building game? Or do you gonna need to collect resources and have a population to maintain??
Just building it seems!
Building a modern city should be the sequel
Alot of energy was channeled in this video 😅
Hopefully they will have people in the game that they can put in to run the little towns that is awesome
I recently stumbled upon Summerhouse that has kinda the same concept
This is what brighter shores should have looked like
This game remind me of my Houdini courses back in school.
Makes me wish Foundation was more like this for building. Or exporting to 3-D print creations.
The very first time I've seen this game, my first thought, I'll be making Hyrule with with it.
Throwing positive vibes
I know it’s called TINY glade but I wish you can build on a bigger plot lol
Looks like fhe devs spent a lot of time getting AI mechanics working well together with the player. I like this.
They should have made an engine for other games to incorporate these mechanics. Imagine age of empire had this
Each sheep has a different sound 😂
Already on my wish list!
