Dude the game is a million times better now... the amount of content.. the quality of the content.. certainly alot of fun right now .. i played alittle linget then u but been a cpl yeats for me sonthe game is way diff.. way better
Vex cube you shoot after going through that diamond shaped passageway with the moving parts and chasm to the left at 8:48 will make the walking platform wider in that passageway.
Recommend taken spec for your legendary weapons. Edited after I ran it. Use arc x 2 and may be solar x 1 for resists. Also, malfeasance absolutely rips these guys to pieces due to its intrinsic.
TY as always! I ran it solo first wo watching your guide to see how different it is from the original version and thought it was fun! Although I think it’s bugged my timer ran out and I was still able to finish it. I didn’t go in with any particular build but now watching your guide I’m gonna run it again for better time.
I feel like grandpa when I remember just getting up to the opening hole was a challenge. Between all the added mobility skills and equipment, the traversal part of this quest is so much less intimidating.
@@WAFFENAMT1 Just got back playing and did this solo as a casual player on a Warlock. Definitely doable, just take your time. And use nova bomb for the bosses and max out whatever gives you the fastest super
The one you shoot after you come out of the sideways tunnel with the stab items is for a complete flat edge in sideways room so other players don’t slide down and die.
I was just practicing the jumping bit on the mission today I remember when going under the green room entrance in the old mission but only when you showed it to me lol
I miss this! I stopped playing Destiny 2 before the last 1-2 expansion, I think (I mainly played it about 3-4 years ago, if I remember well). And I miss this quest so much! I loved the Whisper of the Worm, it was an amazing weapon back in the days, but I really miss this jumping puzzle experience. And maybe there were lots more things I could have done there, like the ship blueprints, that I fear I missed T_T
I’m intent on getting this done in under the old 20 minutes time limit with a badly built Crown of Tempest Stormcaller and still using a Machine Gun for the final room just like when I was trying it when it first showed up lol
Hey E! I really think the holster modes aren't working. I've literally run half a mission and my heavy not be reloaded after the initial shot, several times.
Just got back at the game after almost 2 years off, trying to get this done before they vault it... empty a full ammo Dragonsbreath at the first boss and hes only just past half health lol geez (1821). Cant get the last big boy past 25% before orbit.
Thanks for this walkthrough, E. As a relatively new Destiny 2 player (little over 2 years) with no D2-playing friends, my only choices for activities are solo, or LFG/FF. I attempted this on my own after watching part of Esoterikk's video, but I tend to do better with spoken instruction. Needless to say, I didn't get very far. I really HATE the transversal sections of D2 activities, especially when they involve jumping puzzles. Ngl, they feel too long, and jumping just feels like lazy, cheap, easy and outdated level design. Hard to believe that, if we are ever attacked by races of space-faring aliens, we'll beat them by out-jumping them. 🤣 But following your guide, I got through the entire mission solo (normal) on my 3rd try. I made the mistake of calling up all 3 bosses by mistake, so I was cutting it close. BTW, I don't use snipers that much, so it was more about completing the mission, rather than getting a craftable Whisper. But I'll chalk this up to you helping me snag yet another exotic weapon. Looking forward to next week's playthrough. Thank you for your service. 😁🍻
@@DestDisc I get what you're saying, and I appreciate your insight and advice. And you're right; Bungie doesn't do much to explain how jumping works. In fact, they don't go out of their way to explain much to new players. But I have never enjoyed jumping games. The idea that I have to stick a landing exactly to keep from dying has never been my idea of fun. It doesn't help that the jumping in D2 feels too imprecise and floaty. Playing with MnK doesn't help this. And again, I hate the level design - buildings and structures in virtually every environment built on a bottomless abyss, simply to make the game artificially "more challenging". As for traversal areas, the idea that beings who can cross the solar system, but can't come up with a means of personal locomotion other than jumping, just strikes me as odd. But then, I've played mostly single player games, because I enjoy the immersion. A good immersive game is like reading a good book. But D2 constantly reminds me that I'm playing a game. Of course, I could "git gud" at jumping if I put enough effort into it. However, there are just too many things I prefer to invest my time and effort into. Just like with aim training, I don't want to spend dozens, if not hundreds of hours into playing a game better. I play games for fun: when it becomes a chore, it loses that fun. BTW, you are also so right about those insecure people who derive their self-worth, self-esteem and sense of superiority by how well they play a game. I have way too much going on in my life to need to judge myself by such sorry standards. Anyway, because of these and other issues I have with D2 - eg, crappy loot drops, ridiculously stringent RNG, repetitive gameplay, too much required grinding - and having to play pvp matches against elite stacks with adept weapons - I'm seriously questioning if the game is for me.
I solo this mission with fusion rifle.. graviton lance and apex predator rocket tracking and bipod ..I went afk half way during a fall ..still with strand subclass as well
Despite me being at 1944 power compared to the 1950, I started the first combat room at 25 minutes left, I am almost finished with the second room with less than 5 minutes to go 😐
Lucky pants, malf wrecks these bosses instantly, and last boss only take center back blight as it obscures your view you don't have to take blights down
Was that your first time running it? I thought something was wrong too for me but then I found out you have to do the mission once first before the oracles appear on your second attempt.
Hey don't worry about how long your introduction are Ricky K has the meme market cornered on long intro times when people start making shorts of getting 7th column vids with your introduction in the background then your catching up
I’m getting back into the game and the main combat sections feel awful. I die instantly and there are too many enemies for me to do anything. The vandals nearly one shot me and they have so much health that u can’t kill them before they kill me. And the time limit just sucks ass
great guide but i couldn't finish the mission unfortunately. i did fine on all the traversal things but the combat really got me lol. just not what i'm used to i guess
Hated the jumping sections, i had to turn brightness way up and close my blinds to the scottish sun. When I got to the boss, i just steamed in, shot all 3 cubes, nonrally, then realised i had F'd up 😂
Excelllent guide. Too bad this mission is so poorly designed and loaded with bugs. I have the weapon, no quests, and no Whitenail II available to shoot. Terrific. Typical Bungie.
Glad its back but damn they changed one of the best parts , the damn music and sound is all but gone and it was so cool that creapy voice would follow you and you knew you had to get going...Its just a really big part missing and now its just an ok mission for me. Sorry to be negative but I really liked that part of the old version mission.
Remember when exotics were exotic? And "The Whisper" was a quest NOT ANNOUCED and had to actually be discovered by players? Remember when exotics weren't spoon-fed to people? ahhh the good ole days.
@parzivalplays7403 I agree. I was a new light when this mission launched and I couldn’t get it then. I felt bad but it only made me want to get better at the game. Now, part of me is happy that exotics are easier to get because I don’t always have time to play, but it also means they feel less special, especially when legendary gear is so powerful these days.
I remember back when the term “special snowflake” wasn’t thrown around politically, and specifically referred to someone gatekeeping something they earned who bemoaned anyone that earned it (perhaps more easily) after.
I solo finished it at 0:00 seconds At level 1815 just raw 7 inches of shaxx style balls on No guide for did it before but with a friend I wasn’t really going to do it without a friend but o got on to see what it was about I instantly remembered where the location was and bam I was already determined to finish it pure (butt clincher)
Fantastic guide👍 like usual my goodman. Good to see there is still someone helping the solo players.
From 🇿🇦
Always look forward to your guides. Thank you
i havent played this game since light 750 but i will never forget getting this weapon. it was one of the coolest things i remember doing in the game.
Dude the game is a million times better now... the amount of content.. the quality of the content.. certainly alot of fun right now .. i played alittle linget then u but been a cpl yeats for me sonthe game is way diff.. way better
Thanks Mate, I am looking forward to this again. I appreciate the walkthrough.
Vex cube you shoot after going through that diamond shaped passageway with the moving parts and chasm to the left at 8:48 will make the walking platform wider in that passageway.
Subtle change, i'll have to see if i can capture it.
Blackhammer - check! Black Spindle - check! Whisper - check! Whisper II - pending! Thanks for the walkthrough! GGs
Isn’t it weird that it’s all the same gun just reskinned and different perks?
Yeah I’m at the second version of Whisper and I’ll have the full set too
Recommend taken spec for your legendary weapons. Edited after I ran it. Use arc x 2 and may be solar x 1 for resists. Also, malfeasance absolutely rips these guys to pieces due to its intrinsic.
Yeah with all this jumping and platform stuff i don't need this gun lol i still don't traverse very good and i have been playing for 3 years now lol
Try it with the warlock easiest character to do this IMO..😊
You're my go to when doing missions thanks bro
TY as always! I ran it solo first wo watching your guide to see how different it is from the original version and thought it was fun! didnt know there was a final boss so I took my sweet time with the 3 bosses
40 minutes down the drain
RIP!
Excellent guide as always! No idea how you get these out so quickly
To hell with that gun as I hate jumping puzzles!
I tried it one and also said to hell with this timed mission.. I hate timed crap stuff
Do this with the warlock easiest also do with Fireteam finder which is now in the game...piece of cake, old school was impossible..
@@WAFFENAMT1 Just got back playing and did this solo as a casual player on a Warlock. Definitely doable, just take your time. And use nova bomb for the bosses and max out whatever gives you the fastest super
Remember in OG when no heavy dropped in this mission? 😂
I remember when Black Hammer was a Legendary...then Bungo nerfed it and made it an exotic.
The one you shoot after you come out of the sideways tunnel with the stab items is for a complete flat edge in sideways room so other players don’t slide down and die.
6:44 "Way too many times." Amen brother!! 😂
I was just practicing the jumping bit on the mission today I remember when going under the green room entrance in the old mission but only when you showed it to me lol
This helped alot
Great tip on the chest piece.

Are they bringing back the ship too
Diffrent variation
So it’s not gonna look like my current ship ??
I’m intent on getting this done in under the old 20 minutes time limit with a badly built Crown of Tempest Stormcaller and still using a Machine Gun for the final room just like when I was trying it when it first showed up lol
Will this exotic mission remain after Into the Light ends?
Mactics has a really good void hunter guide for this.
crazy that the combat is so hard i spent 7 hours just trying to get past the first boss
Nice job👍
Thanks got it done
Hey E! I really think the holster modes aren't working. I've literally run half a mission and my heavy not be reloaded after the initial shot, several times.
Thx!
bro. i just bought it from exotic kiosk last week
I completed the mission and got the schematics. Talked to Eris and I didn’t get it. I got the mission Whispers of The Taken but nothing else…
Who gives you the quest for this?
Just got back at the game after almost 2 years off, trying to get this done before they vault it... empty a full ammo Dragonsbreath at the first boss and hes only just past half health lol geez (1821). Cant get the last big boy past 25% before orbit.

Holy smokes i just realized destiny 3 is codenamed Payback.
The witness is gonna win.

Dude I love your content but damn these ads. 9 minutes in and I’ve been hit with 5 ads…
Okay there have been some changes on the creator side about add and the feedback is appreciated. I’ll see what I can do to pull back on these.
Theres to much to do in this game lol... malfeasance quest has been fun.. i couldnt solo step 4 boss..

Yep. No announcement of Black Spindle mission. Some guardians found it and word of mouth spread. Best time ever.
As feck of the game has its mojo back

Made no sence at all, watched the video right below yoyr and he made way more sence in the whole quest, and a fraction of the time you spend yapping.
I solo finished it at 0:00 seconds
At level 1815 just raw
7 inches of shaxx style balls on
No guide for did it before but with a friend I wasn’t really going to do it without a friend but o got on to see what it was about I instantly remembered where the location was and bam I was already determined to finish it pure (butt clincher)
Ebontis, This is great! Let's be friends and have fun together!
Good luck with a hunter. These platform are stupid af
pointless video end it
