In the Belgian countryside there sits a magnificent 100 acre estate with over 300 years of family history preserved within its old walls.
We are greeted by decades of overgrowth, creeping up, around and inside the house, casting a constant green hue.
As we venture through its warren of aged hallways, we pass portraits that peer way back through the generations.
It’s elegant rooms remain untouched, stacked with irreplaceable furniture and artwork.
We’re surrounded by fragments of days long gone, the experiences, interests and passions of all those who once called this place home.
So much time has passed, the building now sags around its contents, yet nothing here ever changes.
Join us as we discover a forgotten collection, built over three decades of life…

I just wanted to add that I love how you two not only explore, but take the time to appreciate the beautiful furniture, artwork, etc. not many explorers do that, so thank you for that!
yes! I agree and the talk of smells really adds to the experience!
I love how Jess always films the details. It's all the little things that I like to see in these homes that makes it so fun to watch.
This must have been a very happy home in its day. The hustle and bustle of maids and nannies, children and visitors all come to life as you peek through the past of this gorgeous estate. Thanks for always making it a joy to visit with you two.
I just want to take this video to tell you both how much I absolutely LOVE the intro music you two pick for your amazing videos every single time. You always find a piece that completely sets the tone and matches the intro scenery. I also love Sam's narration as it sets the adventure we are about to see as well. I also like it when Jess narrates!! Look forward every week to a new adventure!!
Every time I watch you 2 it makes my day . You guys get along so well and are having adventures while you are still young! Thanks, LIGHT & LOVE from the U.S.A.
One of those photos of the ladies is Romy Schneider, a famous actress. 🙌❣️🙌
I love the indoor garden, I know it had to be beautiful when people lived there.
I'm on vacation and so happy to binge!! Who does the editing/music? I'm obsessed with how tight your production is. And Sam's soothing "quiet storm" voice at the beginnings just help me sink right in! Actually you BOTH have very soothing voices!
How beautiful is this house? Despite its disrepair it’s still so charming, the ornate woodwork and the patterned floors are lovely. The greenhouse conservatory room was amazing too! I do hope some of the remaining furniture goes to a good home! Thank you Sam and Jess for brightening up my Monday evening! Xx
This place was beyond words!!I can not imagine just one family living there, unless they also had extended family living there as well. This place was just stunning. So much left behind, that was sad. I am like you Jess, I would be out in the green house all the time. There is so much there that could be donated and put to such good use instead of sitting there rotting away. Poor Jess, I was snacking on avocado and tomato and had to put it down because I felt so bad with your stomach rumbling, lol. Fantastic video, thank you.
Sam and jess love all your content this one is amazing love your journey your a beautiful couple, but will put it out there, miss you guy's doing paranormal with Karl, always made my day the fun you guys would always have, love you guys stay 😊
I have watched many of the videos you two have filmed for 3yrs now and I am so thankful for them for you two being such wonderful compassionate sweet free people. Amazing work & places. Thank you
Hotel, Motel, Holiday Inn !!!
He's so funny !! 😂😂😂
How exciting to get to explore amazing places like these. Thanks for sharing
OMG BEAUTIFUL! Thank you guys! Napoleon wasn't holding his belly.....lol That is a masonic hand gesture, of the master of the second veil.....
I'm laughing, that was so funny that Sam started singing it's Christmas time in a mansion. So funny and he actually has a good voice. By the way I love your tours. You two make a great team.
My gosh imagine how much all that old furniture and artwork is.... a museum in itself.. wow
Wow amazing video guys one of my favourites of yours definitely thanks for sharing loved every second of it, and happy birthday 🥳🎉🎂 Sam have a great evening, loved the music too such a shame these places r just left but I'm so glad it's not been trashed thanks again guys Brilliant video 💖👍take care love ya XXX look forward to seeing your next upload xxx
I loved this mansion! It wasn't the most elaborate that you've toured but it was so interesting. I don't think I will ever get over or understand why people just leave a place that obviously housed so many and then they are just all gone. Where do they go and why?! I wish there was a way to find out the story behind these places. It's hard to watch other explorers after watching you two because y'all are so much better than anyone else at what you do! Stay safe and have fun 🥰
A lot of the time it's when someone dies and there are legal feuds so the property and contents are on hold. Taxes and upkeep accrue and become overwhelming for whoever were to take over the estate.
Exactly. Not to mention the upkeep for these large old homes is cost prohibitive. Even for the wealthy.
Watching these videos reminds one of just how fast life passes us by. In the blink of an eye. And, for all their wealth, they take nothing with them and it is left behind to rot. That’s why I always say, if anyone wants any material possession I own, I gladly give.
Breaks my heart they didn’t at least donate that stuff to charity.
Also, there is a female spirit in there. Mid 20’s maybe. I pick up on that stuff, unfortunately.
You need some wellies for the basement. I think that’s what you call them. We call them mudders or rain boots.
Absolutely Amazing 😍, without a doubt all of the comments here, is how we all feel about Sam and Jess 💯❤️
Toujours aussi sublime vos vidéos sont filmées avec beaucoup de goût, les lieux choisis magnifiques et la musique de Satie très appropriée, bravo à vous deux et merci.
The Print of a blindfolded woman being led by a pig on a leash is by a very, ( in his time), controversial artist ; Félicien Victor Joseph Rops was a Belgian artist associated with Symbolism and the Parisian Fin-de Siecle. He was a painter, illustrator, caricaturist and a prolific and innovative print maker.
Born: 7 July 1833, Namur, Belgium
Died: 23 August 1898, Corbeil-Essonnes, France
Absolutely amazing! Thank you for taking us along. I also want to say that I think it's very kind and gracious of you both to be so respectful and careful with the family's home and belongings. True sentiment to your love of exploration, adventure, and sharing.
This is a fantastic house/home/possible Community home/biggest family ever - multi generational home. Wow. Can’t wait!!
Most Brilliant yet Sam & Jess!
The History left in that wonderful property was breathtaking. I can’t imagine the mix of emotions you felt being there looking at everything. Knowing that you are touching all the personal possessions of the people who had once been there. Servants quarters just left as they were. Children’s play rooms - could almost hear the kids playing. Well impressed Sam & Jess! I would not be able to leave I think. Wow. Just Wow!
Enjoy rest of your special day Sam. Much love both 💜🥰🤗
I love this channel and the guy voice is just so calm makes me want to watch all the time
absolutely beautiful (but unfortunately saddening) to see generations of a family history and growth and LIFE, just "sitting" waiting to waste in a such a wonderfully loved place during it's living years....keep it coming guys, I watch you thru both these fantastic journeys as well as with Karl. I love how all three of you include the historic "value" of any place you go into. and I LOVE watching the two you share the joy you both get from venturing into these places and visiting the sites around the world! Great job guys and so happy for ya'll (yes, I'm from Texas) that you get to share this fantastic trip thru life together
Happy birthday Sam xxx 👍👍👍🎁🎁🎁
Thank you Jess and Sam for yet another great video. That place was definitely beautiful and all the amazing furniture that just left behind to.rot away is so very sad. I love how you both appreciate the antique pieces there. Warms my heart to see two young people appreciate those things are so nice to see. Thank you again for another great explanation ❤.
Its going to be one of my favorite episodes. Right next to...
All the other episodes! 😉 ❤✌We love to explore with you two lovely people ❤❤ TOPS!! 👍 Much love & Happy Birthday Sam 🎂 Hope your day go's your way!!!😉
you two make me fall asleep sometimes you go through so much detail its great
Beautiful find, the conservatory was my fav! & I enjoyed the longer content. Once again....Happy Birthday Sam! 🎂🎁🎈
Sorry I missed this one it's a Beautiful mysterious place. The carved wood is amazing!! Thanks for taking us alone luv it❤️
The tiny cards in the box on the “make up table”were cards that are sent when someone sends flowers. For example to someone who is hospitalized.
Such a shame; an entire family gone, and no one to remember them. Photos and history of generations that will be lost.
It might have been a Confirmation dress rather than a wedding dress, the young girl was wearing.
We love watching you both, beautiful furniture.thanks Sam & jess
Wow another fantastic Building 🙏👍😘🇬🇧
Thank you for another lovely experience 💕
I would love to read a book written about the everyday life of everyone living in that estate through time. In novel form. Love your videos!
Wow! This place is so big and still got a lot of beautiful antiques left in the place, I think this mansion or Castle is very beautiful and very rich back in the day, thank you for sharing, I love the way you show around new as the are you stayed and travel around and the part of old place where it use to be in the abandoned home, very interesting indeed
How does a boat suddenly get covered in spiders? The boat looked super nice, but the random chance of it being covered in spiders is a deal breaker..
The boats covered with spiders would have made me run for the hills. 😳🏃🏻 My brother worked on the barges in the states and he said they has spider watch at night and he said the spiders were so big at night. Couldn’t do that either. I absolutely love this house. Beautiful.
@@raynaknierim9277 Yeah, that's a no go! Spider watch sounds like the worst job ever..
That one basement part (where Jess asked why the floor was crunchy) is a root cellar for storing their harvests. That’s why it’s like that.
Absolutely lovely, that green sure looks lovely, love that antiques alot, thanks 4 the tour
What an extraordinary video! The mansion was overwhelming on so may levels. The artwork, sculptures, furnishings, the number of kitchens and living rooms, etc. While many rooms appeared untouched, there were rooms that were obviously forgotten and in pronounced decay. Like rotted out patches in the upper level ceilings. I think there were family members trying to archive rooms, or organize to pack up. And some rooms looked like things were intentionally spilled out all over the floor. Because there were bedrooms jammed with personal item that were dated for decades, maybe that room was lived in for many years by one person or a couple. Since you aired this video, has anyone come forward claiming to know the family? You both did an excellent job recording it, including details like postcards, cigar boxes, and the countless pieces throughout the estate. And loved your Amsterdam trip! So much to talk about!
Absolutely beautiful place! Thank you guys so much for exploring it! You guys are fantastic!
Breaks my heart to see these antique musical instruments and clocks left to rot and slowly destroyed by mold and humidity. I bet that if an historian would see these, he'd probably say that they should be in a museum right now.
In Luxembourg the housing style it's just the same as in Belgium. I so love old houses and all that comes with it. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us
Jess loves the pet dog.❤️👍👍👍
Amazing spaces. Goes without saying how beautiful this place once was. Love to know where the previous occupants are and what has happened to them all. I can also hear the passion that you put into your videos which is nice to hear. What I like about you two is that you can have fun and explore at the same time but unfortunately as some may have said already some explorers go over the Top! With their playfulness and spoil the content of their videos by doing just so. One of the best explorer videos I have seen of late.
Gorgeous
Absolutely incredible building , tragedy that it has been left to fall apart , all the many generations that must have lived , loved , laughed and died there , life needs to be breathed into it again, love and laughter , really enjoy your videos , you two explore such amazing places 🙏
I’m sure this is a birthday you won’t soon forget. Hope you have many many more. Happy birthday Sam. Stay well🍷🎂🍺🎆
At the 32 minute mark you captured a Spirit in the overgrowth being the window...
Yes! I enlarged the frame, rolled it forward/back; a Spirit person is passing through the foliage outside the enclosed garden glass wall. The being was visible only for a moment, then--nothing, as if it were a trick of the shadow. I thought it was a reflection from behind the camera; NOPE. The enlargement shows everything...thanks, Pam S. GOOD SPOT! cle
It's clearly Sam with his backpack.
Spiders were always living in/on boats--especially Sailboats. "Spider Opportunists," use the boat to build webs and filter the breeze across the water. Ever noticed the HUGE amount of Bugs at water's edge? Texas summers are Buggy; Gnats, "Skeeters," Blister bugs (mint green, delicate moth that packs a wallop-bite!) You get the idea. Bugs, water source, dock and Spiders. They DO like to be warm and dry, same as human beings.
NOTE: By the by, Your and Sam's Explores are favorited by many friends, family, we pass the word! One thing, though. We LOVE your manner, calm ways, graceful movements, optimistic, happy explores! PLEASE, PLEASE protect yourselves, and wear MASKS. Nearly every old Mansion is built with ASBESTOS; roof, walls, plaster. You're both so precious; please protect yourselves. Thank you!
Jess has such a fascinatin' face and voice right out of a Renaissance painting ...I love to observe all her expressions. Closed mouth smile is a classic look. I suspect she lived as a noble woman in lives past. Both probably same ..had lives in castle/ chateaux.
The Mansion was absolutely incredible and amazing.
So we love seeing you two even if there isn’t a abandoned house. It would b great even if u just vlog your travels to Amsterdam. I know I’d watch !!!❤ thanks for the vid guys !!!
that was so fun!!! the two of you are my favorite explorers....I love all the history along the way each place brings! this one was a treasure.
O M G this is THE prefect place for yall
Oh Sam (birthday wishes!) and Jess, you are the king and queen of explorers of this kind! My daughter’s bedtime interrupted the live, sadly, but I’ve caught most of it and will catch up. The girl in the‘wedding dress’ was probably having her first holy communion, I had mine about 9 years old, though I’m not religious, brought up catholic if it helps. I really look forward to your videos, you set the standard! Much love, and enjoy Hamsterjam! 😊xxx
This mansion would make lovely hotel love the video sam and jess and happy birthday 🎂sam.
Absolutely beautiful home! The ceilings are so ornate, chandeliers in most,it’s amazing! I noticed a Victorian conservatory in front of the big one. I don’t understand all the junky stuff everywhere. I’ve seen this in a lot of abandoned chateaus.
Sam your voice is so warm to the ear.👍❤️😂😂😂
You two are very young and enjoying your life together. You've been to a lot of places. Something to tell your kids and grandchildren about some day.
I love this place, it is very unique! It must have been a wonderful place many years ago when filled with family, servants and their families, and pets and farm animals. I don't think this family ever threw anything away and so it is all there for us to experience. Look out for those spiders!
That place is jaw dropping!! Wow oh wow. Floored basically here!!
Fascinating I'm watching for the second time 💖💖
Wow it's so good to see you both , missed you on the old D/A , glad you have your own show , thanks very much , just Scribed
58:54 is Romy Schneider, the beautiful German actress who played the role of Empress Sissi.
Yes! I love these long vids!
Luv all your travels haven't been able to afford to travel over to Europe but I get to see it with you, thanks so much ,😁.Much luv Sam & Jess🥰🌻
Such a beautiful place I can just imagine it in all its glory before it was abandoned. Thank you for sharing 💗
I think I would be on that patio area all the time if I lived there, that's my favorite part of it all, it really is gourgous, thanks for showing us.
Just love all the places you visit, thank you! I look forward to watching every time!!
Wow but I don't understand why or how all that beautiful furniture can be left to rot what a shame made me cry
Can't believe that no one had an estate sale, all that beautiful stuff left to rot
With that large of a family, you would think that family members/ancestors would want the photos, furniture and memories. Or at the very least, have a free estate sale. So sad. Soooooo beautiful! That atrium!
Wow absolutely amazing place! I loved this one so much! Amsterdam looks amazing! Thank you for sharing this with us Sam and Jess!
Wow! Amazing place 😍
WOW What a spread! Amsterdam looks like there's lots too see. Thanks!
I LOVE EXPLORE SAMJESS, I M ENJOY VERY WELL☺️👍🏼
Loved the video … great job 👏
Happy Birthday Sam! Can't wait to watch this video!
Good evening to yourself, Sam and Jess currently watching your brand-new addition of your abandoned property explores And all I can say is wow. What an explore this week thoroughly thoroughly enjoying from start to finish I also hope you had a very nice day on your birthday Sam back to the explore, I love the horse and artwork and cannot get over how much stuff has been left behind
Take care to you both and catch up with you very soon Best regards, WAYNE 🤓
I hope you guys are cautious when you're in those places don't be inhaling that black mold if there is any extremely dangerous don't be afraid to put a mask on or you could be looking at your own X-rays of your lungs and you don't want to do that love the videos these places are awesome just be cautious you guys
People with seriously big houses often do not bother to get rid of things. You & I have to get rid of things we might have collected as teenagers for example, or things left by grandparents, or clothes we do not wear any longer, but they just leave things in a room they do not really need to use. So things can accumulate over centuries. Over times things build up & unless you have lots of servants to help keep things organised things become very messy.
I really was into this video. Really a great tour. Thanks
I think it's si great what you do. You show us such beauty. Thank you .I will never get to see it but I feel I'm with you guys .its saved me. I look so forward to where you go next.gb you both stay safe.

Wow I think this is one of my top 10 ... it is absolutely amazing.. thank you so much for taking us along with you...
So much history left to rot… makes me sad, but also so incredibly curious as to what happened to all those people. So many questions!
Love you guys, your videos are so awesome, I fell ❤️ in love with that farm house, would love to restore it and live there. It's gorgeous 😍. Thanks for sharing. Bravo 👏
