We venture deep into the woods in search of a house, now almost hidden beneath the undergrowth.
Camouflaged and undiscovered, the green tinted rooms remain in a state of preservation after all the years.
A mysterious atmosphere lingers thick in the air, who resided in such a secluded mansion? And where did they go.
Distant bird song and the hum of a thousand insects surrounds us, an otherwise eerie silence rings through the lofty hallways.
Down in the bowels, roots have crept inside though every crevice and reclaimed everything in their path…
Join us as we discover what this mysterious, long abandoned home has to hide.

I love that you don't blare the music so we can't hear you narrating. The choice of music is also relative to the type of area and building you are exploring. Classical is always the best. Very calming and relaxing while I get tense seeing what you're going to run into. Great job Sam and Jesse.

  • @ASilverLining60

I love when you can see the history of the building through the architecture and also looking and or reading from material owned and left behind. Just like the building being abandoned, all the belongings have been abandoned and do not belong to anyone or they would have been removed. If the state owns it, they are not interested in getting money from old pieces left behind. It costs the bank too much money to put old broken pieces on the market for sale. Wouldn't even be enough to pay a years worth of taxes. This comment goes to the person who criticized you for looking at personal items. That's how we learn history and how people lived. As long as urban explorers don't STEAL anything, I think it's educational and fun to learn about who the residents were.

What a beautiful find, the over growth kind of made the mansion look pretty cool. I can't believe that no one knows about the house. Imagine just walking through the woods and you came across this.. the fireplaces and all the books stain glass windows are stunning. I'm still at the beginning of the video . I love your channel. Beautiful home. Such a shame it stands unloved and no one living in it. I'm sure it costs a fortune for the upkeep. Too bad the state or the country where it is located would not refurbish it and turn it into a touring site. So many old estates standing abandoned and neglected.

Absolutely! Keep thinking I'm gonna get frustrated because, "oh no shes not gonna look at that thing I wanna see..." and then she looks at it. 😊
Except for once, I think on first floor. She stops to look at an interesting thing near the floor at the left side of a fireplace. But there was a curious, broken purple thing in a vase behind. Old, ratty umbrella?
And how cool were some of the dates they found! Wow! But that one magazine from 1903, not even yellowed. That was trippy!

The wooden form in the attic (inexplicably with a light in it) was made to hold bricks in place while an arch was constructed. It has a name I can't recall. I'm completely fascinated by the construction of the basement kitchen ceiling. I've never seen terracotta tiles placed in a V pattern held in place by beams like that.

This house has amazing features inside. The wallpaper in the second room with the stained glass was amazing. The golden room was covered with velvet panels. Wall coverings and fireplace mantles were made of finest materials. Many drawings were of religious men, possibly priests or cardinals. That old wooden toilet and fancy sink was likely for the owner at one time. I wouldn’t be surprised if the home/owners have historical significance. Great place. Thank you for showing the wallpaper!

These old places are worth a fortune in "parts" and sometimes shipped to the USA. The Marble or carved fireplace mantels, fixtures, sinks, tubs, stained glass, large wood beams, old floor tiles, ornate wardrobes etc. are stripped out and sold for outrageous prices! You will very rarely see "intact" abandoned places like this in the USA. Resale of "stripped" antique interiors is just too big a market in USA.

It's absolutely amazing the the things you find in these old properties some are so old they should be in a museum or protected somehow, expecially the toilet, that was probably the oldest thing in the house! The basement was huge. The man in the framed picture really did look like Henry VIII lol

Great video! I love how you two actually investigate the items you find it makes the videos really exciting. I could do without the spiders though, lol. I was hoping that you would look on the back of the broken television, it might have had a manufacturing date on it. You showed a cupboard full of cleaning supplies at around 40:45 and it made me think how easy is was to confuse a cleaning product with medicine causing someone to be poisoned because the bottles look so much alike. p.s. I'll be singing Toreador in my sleep.

I ment to tell Sam how lucky he has Jess who is willing to do this with you. Some other woman may tell you they would love to do it with you but after a while they wouldn't want to get dirty and would rather stay home and go out to lunch. Make sure you treat her as a prize, because she is.

Could you imagine if someone came in and cut away all the growth in the house ? What a beautiful sight it would be , just to uncover the hidden identity of the outside would be worth the work alone.

Absolutely gorgeous chateau!!! I loved it all sooo very much!!! The architecture, banisters, stained glass… my favorite!!! Please someone… save the breathtaking stained glass & the antique wooden furniture!!! It could be saved & restored 👍 The wooden toilets were great! I’d never seen one like that before!!! The sink in that room was sooo very ornate & interesting!!! What a maze😳 I hate seeing that nasty vandals have destroyed sooo many treasures in this property 😢😰😞 It makes me want to cry😰😢😞 They would get so much more joy out of restoring it!!! The books should go to a library! The buggies & sooo much more, to a museum!!! I wanted to save so many items that I saw😰😢😞 Jess & Sam, thank you for sharing this wonderful adventure with us!!! I truly loved it 👍🙏❤️❤️❤️

Awesome find! That carriage looking cart is actually called a rickshaw, and was common in China, as a mode of transportation. A person would pull you to your destination, for a fee. Very cool.

    WAUWWWW, what a gorgeous place.
I feel sorry for the house 🏠 that it's going to dissappear, in time.
    Not taken care of anymore.
But it's a mind-blowing house, with beautiful antiques and a deep atmosphere.
Thank you for sharing another Gem, my Dear Sam&Jess.

It's really very Beautiful. I can't imagine ever leaving a place like this behind. These kind of things always leave Me with a thousand questions about who lived there and their lives..
Where did they go? Why is It just left like this?
I wonder what all those books are??
I could spend days in a place like this. (Not alone of course, I'd have to bring my dog at least)
Even the wallpaper is exquisite, such detail everywhere. I bet in It's Time the garden around it was lovely too.
    Amazing.

The instrument you were trying to figure out is a very old organ. All the pull out knobs change the tone of the music. Love the old place, the overgrowth all over gives it a fairytale vibe. Love the interior as well as the quality of the camera work.

I just saw that house on another channel an it had ghosts. Did Carl go with you? Those 2 little carts were pulled by big dogs or goats. I have a family photo of one being pulled by a goat. You guys showed more stuff an went slower than the other video. Good job! Loved that place. Thanks

Absolutely breathtaking, like something straight out of a fantasy tale. It's criminal that such a beautiful place chock full of history is just sitting there abandoned. I want to cry whenever I see beautiful antique books left to rot in places like this. Surely nobody would mind if I moved in, since no-one else seems to want the place...? 😉
