Centuries have passed this house by, but their passions still manage to remain, surrounded by decay, memories from so long ago.

Ok quick story. When I was about seven I used to go and visit Bella a friend of Grandmas .Bella had this wonderful hand painted lavatory covered in flowers .I used to keep pretending I needed to go .The bathroom was on the first landing .On my fourth trip to the lavatory I spied the staircase up to the next floor so up I went .There sat on the second landing was a shaggy dog. The dog didn't move so I approached it and it remained perfectly still .So I stroked it and nudged it .And to my horror it fell over .I screamed and Grandma came running .She then explained that Bella always had her dogs and cats stuffed after there demise. Sadly we never visited Bella again because she died. She was buried not stuffed.

The glass thing Sam thought was a piss pot is actually a distilling vessel for making things like alcohol.
In the late 60s early 70s, my dad had a government job that took everywhere in the midwest. He would take notes on maps. On weekends we would go explore abandoned dust bowl era farms. Two in particular. A home with food in the cupboard, clothes in the bedrooms, all the furniture. A complete Pierce Arrow automobile out front. Wagons. Tack in the barn. They just walked away. Same area their was a one room school house. EVERYTHING still inside including a player piano with rolls. Dried ink wells in the desks.
That was lovely! Anything that even looks Tudor I'm in! Those attic bedrooms reminded me of an apartment I rented as an art student. This was in Massachusetts during the 70's. It was in a house that was over a hundred years old. The ceiling was pitched and had sky lights.The landing had a copula, (widow's walk). And in the basement of that same house was a secrete railway tunnel that runaway slaves used escaping to New Bedford. A very intense history in that house!
I turned on my translate app while watching. The preserved letters spoke of angels, the soul and the Bible. Writing hard to read. The “Seance Recreative” translates Recreation Session.
Cool video. This place survived 2 world wars. On a side note I've always wondered about the books and papers strewn about. I imagine it just the same lol.
This property reminds me of a hunting lodge for the elite…with a very skilled taxidermist…a Forrest get a way…toooo many doors …far to nice for just a farm house…must have been amazing in its day…that stool in the old kitchen reminds me of an old chopping block…why the bars on the windows…so many questions…

Can you imagine how lovely this property was before it became cobweb city? There is some great features remaining like huge fireplaces and the original floor tiles! Didn’t enjoy the taxidermy it’s too creepy!! Thank you once again for an interesting explore. Happy Christmas Sam and Jess! Xx

I'm happy you got to explore this before it was completely gone. I think the dog looked like a Fred. He must have been a great dog! Chip the squirrel must have been a good squirrel too. I always look forward to settling in and watching the newest adventure. Thanks you two!🥰

Hi! Thanks for showing this old lady the world! Love Draculas castle and the French mansions. 2 things, though. 1 When walking about the woods, use a stick in front of you and wave it about like a wand. 2 When watching the captions, it doesn't always repeat what you say. The pee pots we used to call chamber pots when I was young. The other house out back could have been a weaning house. A house that one of your children moves into when they get married. When they've saved enough money to get their own place they move out. There was one other thing I was going to say but I've forgotten. 😂😅🤣 Thanks for sharing this awesome mansion! Love you bunches 😘
I’ve noticed how some of the houses in France have gorgeous decorative staircases always upstairs (hidden from non family) out of sight from anyone who’d be visiting the house.

That was such a cool house with such history. I can’t get over the shirt that was hanging in there. All the taxidermy was Cool in a sad sort of way. Wasn’t usually only the rich that got into fencing?
Jess, no need to worry about daddy long legs. They’re supposed to be one of the more deadliest spiders however, their mouths are so small. They can’t get them open enough to bite you. Is that an organ,beside the piano maybe,great home ,it was old and I think worst shape of some ,but had a lot of good stuff in it,I don't think I would do that to my dog either ,he looks lonely now no one there, y'all do a great job ,braver than me in a house like that

They looked like fencing masks to me. Very cool explore. I think the reason books are thrown about is that people hide money in them. Probably clothes too. I buy 6 bottles of whiskey and hide them in my dishwasher. (It's broke). I think that's a great place to hide things! I told my brother that when i die there might be whiskey in the dishwasher. Haha. I actually did think the dog was for real until you said later on in the video. I didn’t see the video title as my you tube is just randomly playing videos for me so as a result I didn’t see the title. I even called my son to watch the first clip of the dog on the bed, like me he was also taken in. Will now have to tell him that it is actually a taxidermist dog 🤣🙄🤣

Well what a special place. As you have said, you are very lucky because you could be among the few that get to see these places as they are not going to be around for much longer. Two of my favourite things the house in miniature form and the beautiful dog… awwww the dog looks so sad and like it’s patiently waiting for its owner, he must have been so loved.
